I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.

Just finished reading your comments. I would definitely go back to your
doctor and tell her or him that the medication that prescribed doesn't seem
to be helping. It' s very important that the doctor know this. At this appointment you can ask your doctor the questions you've posted here.

Should I go see my doctor, or is this something due to change in weather (it has become noticably cooler in this area the past couple days), or something the medication will correct in time?

I am 19 wks pregnant and suffer from terrible allergies this time of yr and have to use salbutamol 100micrograms inhaler. I use it up to 3 times a day. My midwife is uncertain if I can use this while pregnant and I have read up on possible effects to the baby and I am terrified. Has anyone used this while pregnant??
With my COPD mornings are the toughest for me. I will cough feeling like I have mucus in my chest. But, very little if any mucus comes up. It usually though will pass for me about half an hour or so after waking up. Some mornings are just worse than other mornings. Some mornings I will hardly have the cough and the mucus. But, I do understand the shortness of breath. That is part of my day all day long. I am not on oxygen, as we lost our health insurance last year.
I also have suffered from respiratory issues....get bronchitis at the drop of a hat. I read two scientific papers recently published in foreign medical journals that, based on clinical trial, got a direct corollary between improvements in lung function in hypothyroid patients who were properly treated with thyroid medication. Found them by Googling, asking the question "what is the relationship between lung disfunction and hypothyroidism" or something like that.
t had any xray then, because I got pregnant August 2016 while taking my medecines, I gave birth May 21,2017 and always attacked by my ashtma, and now I went to my doctor and gave me co amoxiclav 625mg and salbutamol+guaefenesin tablet started taking October 18,2017, and had my xray ang got my result just yesterday, and result is upper right lobe infiltrates, ptb considered. what does it means ?

I am a 21 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario and do not smoke. I have severe allergies to most trees. For the past 6 years I have developed a chronic dry cough in the fall season until it snows in the winter. When I blow my nose, there is a sticky white mucus that comes out. I have been told by the allergist that this is asthma and allergies. I am taking 2 puffs of QVAR in the morning and night, half a tablet of reactine and singular at night, and Avamys in the morning.
I'm 40 years old. I have had asthma since childhood - mild (occasional salbutamol) until about 10 years ago, then a little worse. Preventer inhaler as well as occasional ventolin - very rarely had symptoms. I smoked socially from age 20 (3-4 cigarettes each day - not underestimating!) until about 9 months ago - no further smoking.
My breathing has become a little more difficult, is so for most of the time, and is worst in the morning.

I had several thoughts while reading your initial post. First, what we call the "classic" or "Hollywood" asthma attack" on another board is really a late stage attack. Many subtle symptoms have been ignored if you experience a "Hollywood depiction" of an asthma attack.

I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heart rate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????
The result was non reactive. I inhale sometimes salbutamol because I have asthma. Do you think it can alter the result of the test?
Flovent inhaler contains steroids and is given to prevent an attack of asthma. Ventolin inhalers contain the active ingredient salbutamol, which is a type of medicine known as a short-acting beta 2 agonist.
