my blood pressure was high but then was taken again immediately after and was deemed o.k. i just want my heartrate to calm down as it is making me feel very faint and i also have a nasty aching in the bottom of my ribs on the left hand side and i am finding it difficult to breathe at times. my neck has also started to ache. i did take my salbutamol reliever inhaler when this first happened but found it made me feel worse. i have not taken my reliever for 3 days now.
I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heartrate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????
bronchodilators and caffeine in tea are both stimulants and cause a rise in heartrate - when you combine them you may get even more of a response (called syngery) then you would see from either of them alone.
You could try drinking herbal teas that are caffeine free and this help stop that affect.
I am generally healthy, BMI 22 and was running 3 times per week before the chest tightness started. Heartrate is around 50 bpm. Blood pressure a bit high on visit to doctors, 130/78.
It feels like someone is sat on my chest. Throughout the day it varies in severity because doing activities serves as a distraction, but underlyingy it is always there.
I have seen two doctors and been told there is no issue. No wheeze on auscultation, heart sounds fine, blood pressure and O2 sats are fine.
I have had deep veinal thrombosis, a couple of TIAs, and severe rheumatoid arthritis (for 24 years). Two years ago, my GP prescribed a salbutamol inhaler. I would maybe need a squirt of salbutamol twice a week, then, but I am now needing to use it about three or four times a day. Could you tell me whether the dyspnea is heart or pulmonary system related, or has it to do with the RA? How should it be treated? Thanks so much for your help!
During his routine tests they found out he had a low heartrate, he was referred to a cardiologist who said his heart was fine. In November/December 2015 his cough got a lot worse and at times his peak flow was 250. He was prescribed a course of steroids and it got a lot better only to come back again so another course was prescribed. His GP then referred him to a respiratory consultant who did a CT scan and a lung function test.

I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.

My baby girls heartrate at 13 weeks was 155. I went to the doctors a few weeks ago I was 22 weeks and her heart rate dropped to 130. Is this normal? The doctor didn't seem to worried about it but that seems like a big drop to me...
