sad movies to watch

I'm pregnant and I watch scary movies and sad movies and happy movies. My baby is perfectly fine. I agree with cbreeziw, it's not like you're terrified forever or depressed. It's only in the moment and my mom loves scary movies so I'm sure she watched a ton while she was pregnant with me and I'm completely normal.

I always turn down offers for any scary movies, which my husband wants to watch, i feel i am a turn off at that time, which i dont want to be. Can you help me out in this. that if this is normal or do i need to do something to get out of this...

the movie with jamie foxx, i was told what it was about but i didnt want to hear too much, google it to see a trailer...

It's sad and awful. My midwife and some other moms told me while pregnant it's good to avoid those types of stories if possible because when we're pregnant were so open, vulnerable, and sensitive. I was told to stay away from scary movies even... and Sci fi but I'm a nerd and I still watch sci-fi Lol it makes sense though to protect yourself from those types of traumatizing things though.

If you're worry is about being overly scared or overly sad due to the plot of the movie (I assume that's your concern?) You could always just stick to comedies and kids movies. There are plenty of those out there.

It was as if I were being reminded of something I already knew. I still prefer books to movies or television and rarely watch it. I have a tendency to keep reading materials in various stages of completion all over my home and read them at the same time. I keep up with many online activities as well such as forums and newsgroups. I am a passable artist, more technical than creative, with an ability to reproduce others' art but not really create my own.

I have a very dear friend on Medhelp, that feels like crying, but just cannot bring herself to do so ~ I know that it is therapeutical ti watch movies and cry. Can anybody please give any suggestions of a movie that made them cry? (or two).

s the hormones but I cried so hard I even scared my son a little. I hate how sad these Disney movies are and thes hormones make it so much worse!

its an oldie but goodie and im sure you all have seen it but it came on yesterday and i cried my eyes out--Terms of Endearment! its sad sad sad, not really all about moms but its got a lot to do with it though. "Give my daughter the DAMN SHOT!" haha! the second part is called the evening star. i also like the movie Seventh Sign with Demi Moore, she gives her son life at the end knowing it will end her own and if you dont choke up when she does i dont know! ALSO!

I've been crying at sad movies or books for over five years now. I may get depressed easily though. Hunger games was super sad. Even Harry Potter. It's okay to cry at sad things.

However, now that my oldest is a teenager, we watch most all movies. I shamefully admit letting my younger 2 watch movies I would NEVER have let my oldest watch at their age. We watch scary movies together, and always regret that decision when younger dude won't even walk into another room by himself during the day. We are not conventional in our family movie time as it can range from Frozen to The Heat. I have learned that watching some of these together opens up conversation.

yes i've had this happen. I have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder, mood disorder, in the same family as bipolar) and have attemped suicide a few times and have been hospitalised for it. if i watch a movie with someone who attempts or succeeds suicide i get a lump in my throat and then it's like my emotions go back to those times that i attempted and get depressed all over again... :( I don't know if this helps or not, but you're not the only one, you are not alone!

Bird Cage , Ist wives club... all the Bond movies, My most favorite I think is Casablanca ..and African Queen but I have so many ..I do prefer comedy, some action, I liked Indiana Jones...I love th oldies ...

So I'm a total fanatic when it comes to horror movies and been dying to see some does it affect my pregnancy if I watch one?
