I was just wondering how long some of you took the ribavirin after your last shot. I'm going to call the Dr. On Monday and ask. But I'm just a little anxious, my last shot is Mon. night. Thank you!

How long that ribavirin stay's in my system after doctor tells me my bloodwork came out good and i can get of that medizin.

I am running short on my Ribavirin. Does anyone know of any resources? What would be the least expensive way, assuming that my doc won't give my Rx.

I did have a nice helping of whole wheat noodles with spag sauce and a small slice of bread. Was it the meal. SOULD i be concerned with this one high reading, are these #s good enough to stay off the meds. thanks for your help, I am still learning.

Ribavirin is definitely not a walk in the park but the combo of the two (Riba & Interferon) is definitely much worse. My husband tried triple treatment with Incivik and lasted only 5 weeks on it. It almost killed him. He just completed the Sovaldi & Ribavirin treatment for 24 weeks. (He's gt 1a). I'm in the Telaprevir trial in week 13, so I finished the Telaprevir (or placebo) this past Wednesday. A day or two before that my scalp started itching. It seems like a lot of people here who did clear with SOC had more side effects than those who did not clear. I had few side effects but also did not clear. At 114 lbs 800 mg of ribavirin would be in range but if you tolerate 1000 mg that it all the better and at this point I don't think you're being over prescribed. It's important to get that viral load down during the first 4 weeks and ribavirin stops the virus from replicating.

Harvoni with or without Ribavirin? Viekira Pak with or without Ribavirin? Sovaldi with Ribavirin? Sovaldi with Olysio? Interferon and Ribavirin? They all have different side effects and depending on which treatment you are asking about most experience more side effects with certain treatments like interferon and Ribavirin and generally much less side effects with Harvoni with out Ribavirin. In fact many report little to no sides with Harvoni or occasional headaches.
