280482 tn?1262960714 Call MS Lifelines (the Rebif nurses) now. I think Rebif is contraindicated in pregnancy. If you don't have their number handy, find it on their website. Congratulations!! First baby?
Avatar n tn t have that number, call your neurologist. The Rebif MS Lifelines number, if all else fails, is 1-877-447-3243.
Avatar f tn I started rebif and solumedrol at the same time in July, but call your doctor.. Are call the MS lifelines??
Avatar f tn Have you called MS Lifelines?? You should be able to line up a nurse to come to your house for this.... Let us know how you make out.
1176499 tn?1272680055 Am starting on rebif and I guess the doctor faxed the prescription to the MS life-lines program. it has been at least a week. I have reeived the welcome kit and a call that said to return the phone call however when i call I seem to be on hold every time for 30 plus minutes waiting and then noone has any info or "its too soon" My question is..how long did it take for people to get a call about starting therapy and actually get the meds delivered and get started.
439253 tn?1240835565 Hello. I was on Copaxone for 2 years. While on it I experienced several flair ups, so it's time to try something else. We decided on Rebif. Can any Rebif users out there give me any input on your experiences or helpful hints. I'm pretty nervous about the side effects but I am going in with a positive attitude. Thanks for the help.
211940 tn?1267881266 I have been taking Rebif injections, since January 2010, and I have never missed a single one, until now. Up until January 1, 2012, I have received my Rebif injections, free of charge, due to the fact I had no health insurance. I became eligible for Medicare, on January 1, 2012, and so I have had to wait for MS Lifelines to decide whether I'm still eligible for their "free of charge" program.
Avatar f tn I just saw my neuro this morning and he agreed that, with the recent changes in my brain MRI (2 more lesions since April), it's time to start a DMD. The official diagnosis as far as the insurance is concerned is MS, but when I asked him, my neuro said I'm in the "probable MS" category (in the spectrum from not MS to Clinically Definate MS).
Avatar f tn Well I got a call from MS Lifelines yesterday morning about getting rebif. They said I would hear from the pharmacy in 5-7 days. They called yesterday afternoon,! I will be receiving my rebif on Tuesday. I feel like my heads spinning. I had my 1st appt with the PCP just 1 month ago. I've seen her twice, the neuro twice and had the VEP, LP and 2 MRIs in that month.
1176499 tn?1272680055 Good evening! I'm sorry you feel so bad! You definitely have a good reason to be upset! I will be using Rebif once the Doctors decide which MS I have for sure! I'm beginning to fear they know mine is PPM and haven't told me for sure yet. But they haven't started me on a DMD either! PPMS was mentioned to me by my Family Doctor.d I know they won't put me on Rebif with PPMS And it takes a year to DX PPMS from what I've read.
Avatar f tn You will need to go for bloodwork for WBC, liver enzymes and thyroid. Though that really wasn't too much of a downside for me - I just went to get it over and done with. Like MSinFL says, ask anything! We don't want you fretting!!!!! It's going to be ok!
Avatar n tn I have used the MS lifelines nurses when I first started using Rebif. They were very encouraging to stay on the meds (what else would I expect....they work for the drug manuf) and basically just gave the same info I had already read about in all the materials put out by the drug manufacture. I would not expect much from them, as they work for the drug company, and they can't give you medical advice (call your doc) - so in my mind they are just there to keep the patient taking the drug.
Avatar f tn For help with the Rebif I'd call the LifeLines number. They advertise being available 24/7. The number is 1-877-447-3243. I would think you still need a doctor to prescribe your Rebif. Do you still have a doctor willing to treat your MS and general medical needs now that your coverage has been cancelled? There was a topic recently with info about financial assiatance for drugs. I'll see if I can find that one. Otherwise I'm not sure what your options are.
382218 tn?1341181487 Hi db1, This happens without the Rebiject too. I had it most times when pulling off the cap. I just tap it off (like if you were tapping the ashes off a cigarette) and then proceed. This was recommended by my MS Lifelines nurse too. Said it happens. It's such a small amount like you say, so no need to worry about losing much of the meds. Don't think it's preventable though, however.
1378566 tn?1286930813 m so very glad you joined us and hope we can help you sort out your thoughts. MS lifelines should call you soon. Did your Dr. office get the script through? Once that is done, you'll get a call from one of the nurses. They are absolutely terrific I've found.
1088527 tn?1425313375 Hey Torikat, Sorry for the dx, but glad you know. Good neuro you have there to try you on the meds. I'm on Rebif, and do well with it. It's the stronger of the interferons. Hope it works some magic on you. Ask anything. You'll have a nurse visit from MS lifelines, and teach you injections. Super thin and sharp needle, so you don't feel it very much.
Avatar f tn I just got my new precautions from MS lifelines and will look into what it says for you. There is really no way of knowing in advance if you will have a problem. But, what they will or should do is run a full battery of labs for you prior to starting. If not, insist on it. To include all of your thyroid T3 - T4, and the antibodies. That way, you have something to monitor.
4214530 tn?1351162218 Hey there, 6 weeks into your Rebif, definitely don't jump ship. Good advice should have been given to you by the MS lifelines nurse, that side affects can and do diminish for many. If not, I'm sorry to hear that. All medicine comes with risk, even aspirin. Weighing benefit and risk is important where health is concerned for all. Could this be CIS? And, never turn into definite MS? Absolutely "yes." Can you live your life free from severe MS symptoms the rest of your life?
198419 tn?1360242356 db1 - I only had the flu-like symptoms w/Rebif, and it took some getting use to, but they did go away after awhile. The MS lifelines nurse was fantastic, and very accessible. I wish you all the best w/the Rebif. And, thanks for your advice, when I read your rash thread, it was totally the same. . KITT-KATT - See you next week, we'll catch up soon, I'm hoping this is just some sort of a itch - glitch in my system and it's overreacting. .
771085 tn?1268010265 All of the companies will furnish you a training nurse to come to your home and teach you about your medicine. Contact your medicine company or MS lifelines for help. Remember, not all Neurologist are specialist in MS, so YOU must be incharge of your care!
