Avatar f tn I learned that the minute she had the stomach ache to put Benedryl down her and that would at least ease the symptoms.
Avatar m tn The additional risk factor that concerns me is Radon exposure. I am currently getting my home tested for Radon in the basement, as we spend a very large amount of time there. But I have also lived in two other houses over the time that I was a smoker, and at that time we did not test the homes for Radon levels.
Avatar f tn What about raiden Levi? That's kinda cute I think!
Avatar m tn Elevated catecholamines can be seen with adrenal pheochromocytoma or extra-adrenal paraganglioma.
Avatar n tn noone in the house is related and it started with me then 1 more showed signs then the next week 2 more and now the whole house {6 now} we all eat different noone drinks alcohol or eats alot of fish we have been known to share ciggerettes but thats the only way i could see it transmitting , are there any gasses or poisons that could onset these symptoms like radon etc propane or anything common ?
Avatar n tn Do you live anywhere near an area that is known to have radon gas? Animals are a LOT more sensitive to these things than we are, and the fact that your dog is acting strangely INSIDE would make me worry that there is something in there that could eventually also adversely affect the humans in the family. Carbon monoxide detectors only cost a few dollars at places like Lowe's and Home Depot, and I believe there is also something similar to detect radon gas.
6403762 tn?1381712518 I have a Graco travel system and it's very light weight, the radon I bought it is because it's so light and the folding feature, along with everything else is the simplest I've ever seen lol
Avatar m tn 2) the multiple sources of everyday radiation exposure, such as radon gas, and even flying; and 3) the competing risks such as dietary, genetic and other environmental factors (such as smoking). Nevertheless, the medical community (for instance the AHA - Gerber et al, Circulation 2009; 119: 1056-1065) has called for such studies to help better understand these risks.

598816 tn?1219542566 Removing toxic chemicals from your house helps asthma. I am curious what toxic chemicals your found as well. I switched to organic cleaning supplies and laundry detergent and dish washer detergent several months back, probably around March. Didn't notice any change in my daughter, but I noticed a bunch of health benefits in myself, including not having an asthma attack since doing so, including during the height of allergy season in spring.
Avatar f tn Did the Pulmonary Doctor say you do not have a airway disease problem, or is that why you are referred to a GI Doctor (isn't that the digestive system specialist??). I am a guy, much older than you and a regular smoker for about 30 years, I have not smoked for the past 30 years, however. I don't know about dust or other pollutants, my home is marginally high in radon gas, a common problem in much of New Jersey. I think my symptoms are similar to yours but not as erosive.

Avatar m tn - Mast cells are immune cells that might be orchestrating all your symptoms. You can look into trying an OTC mast cell inhibitor, like quercetin.
488766 tn?1306105169 In this day of problems gas prices, job lay offs and of course addictions I have found our family dog"petey" a pomeranian to be such a good stress relief. Not only does he love unconditionaly but he is good for of rehab atleast for me. The wild rabbits still chase HIM. The dogs down the road chase HIM. And now after i heard a loud scary screech lastnight the neighbors cat also chases HIM. So basiclly everything, everywhere chases petey.

Avatar f tn íts good to have pets, babies/children brought up with pets have been shown to have less allergies than those bought up in a pet free home, in saying that while pregnant I would wear gloves when cleaning out the litter box etc, and just watch your ferret around baby when it arrives because as you probably know they can chomp hard !
Avatar f tn m really concerned about right now is introducing the baby to the pets. I have two cats and a dog. The dog is very protective, so I think she will be ok, and my younger cat is pretty laid back. But my older cat tried to reject the other two animals when they came home. It took six months to have her in the same room as the dog without attacking. I'm not sure how she's going to react to baby, but my family has been warned...
Avatar f tn Has anyone else noticed that their pets act drastically different towards you now that you are pregnant? My cat is driving me nuts! She insists on smelling all my food and won't let me out of her sights for more than 5 seconds. I'm curious if anyone else had had this experience or if my cat is just overly protective.
