Common Questions and Answers about Quick flow carb

carb

Avatar f tn Unfortunately, it would be really difficult to do that, what with everyone having different restrictions (low sodium, low carb, low sugar, sugar free, lactose intolerance, gluten free, etc.), allergies, taste preferences, cooking skills, and the like. Perhaps visiting with a nutritionist would benefit you, so your diet can be personally tailored to you and your needs. I'm sorry we can't be of more service.
Avatar f tn The paleo diet is the healthiest form of low-carb diet, IMO. I would not go on a low-carb diet that was composed of low-carb junk food. If you eat a paleo diet, you are only eating real, whole foods (no junk food) and no grains. It's a lot of meat, vegetables, and healthy fats.
Avatar f tn What was your flow like?
Avatar f tn Hi there im on a diet and was wondering what kind of fruits would be low carb or any kinda low carb snacks for in between meals or at lunch time ?
Avatar n tn It sounds like you need a specialist that can help you with both carb counting and your insulin intake. Any changes in your insulin intake can take time to adjust. The fact that you are testing so much shows that you are trying to take care of your diabetes. Have you talked to your doctor about the highs and lows? Has your doctor talked to you about going to the pump? There are so many varibles that come into play here. I would suggest speaking to your doctor.
487982 tn?1210907091 Most physicians recommend that a woman sleep on her left side while pregnant. this allows for the maximum blood flow to the baby, and it will also improve kidney function for the mother. The improved kidney flow will help to reduce swelling. Because your liver is on the right side of your body, sleeping on your left will keep the pressure off your liver. Early in pregnancy, you should attempt to get into the habit of side sleeping.
1301482 tn?1325722991 i have a friend that did low carb, but honestly she may have overdone it..she literally ate less than 10 carbs in total a day. And she lost a TON of weight, but unless she eats like that forever she'll gain it back as quick as she lost it. I have heard a lot of people say low carb works for them, but I can't seem to stick to it!!
Avatar m tn t mention that for about the last week, about 1-2 times a day, I randomly get a VERY QUICK pain feeling in my chest that expands 2-4 inches. its kind of like a quick pain/shock kind of feeling, its hard to describe, but just know its a very quick one. I've also had my dizziness and burning to my chest return, but he thinks the burning chest sensation is my anxiety. Do you think I'm gonna have a heart attack soon?
Avatar f tn At times some people think a small meal is a snack. It greatly depends on the type of "15g carbs" you consumed too. If it was a simple carb, it's consider off track behavior - a bad choice of foods as simple carbs will jack up your glucose levels. If it was a complex carb you're on the right track - a good choice of foods as glucose from these foods enter the bloodstream more slowly. Postprandial test times is 2-3 hours. I aim for 2.
Avatar n tn just found out my son has type 1, he was in the hospital for a week with out of control bs levels of over 500. he works on a sliding scale and carb count for his insulin and gets 15 mg of lantus everynight. i am still having alot of trouble with his high bs at night. i have that stupid fear of giving him to much insulin and then he gets lantus. i guess the ?
Avatar m tn If during a blood draw, a persons blood was drawn into a partially used blood vial containing infected blood, is it possible that the other persons blood in the vial can flow out through the needle and into the vein?
461551 tn?1328992584 I had my AF for a full 3 days, full flow and my numbers are still more than doubling every 2 days. I am only a little over 3 weeks pregnant and they are still very skepticle of the outcome at this point until they can do a u/s, which should be at the end of this week, but my #'s are well within the range at this point. My doctors office told me you would be surprised at how many women get a full AF and are still pregnant...I'm living proof!
1756367 tn?1400884364 The Atkins diet is just one example of a low carb diet. It is perhaps the best known because it is the first low carb diet that caused a media sensation in the 1970s and 80s. Against popular medical advice that stated that we should cut fats and proteins, Atkins advocated a diet rich with proteins and fats and very few carbs. There are now many other popular low carb diets available - many are very similar to Atkins.
Avatar f tn hi, I have been on low carb for over a year, I went on it because I was actually falling asleep driving after eating carbs. I have lost 23 kg, I have been tested for several things and have no blood sugar issues, low blood pressure (90 / 55) and my thyroid is slow but not drastically so. Recently, the tiredness after eating started to return. I have had, a couple of hours ago, a tuna salad (tuna, mayo, cheddar) and I am battling to keep my eyes open as I type. I can't take much more of this.
Avatar f tn I'm 34, male, 6ft2, healthy weight etc. and no known conditions although I am taking mirtazipine for the last 2 months. I have a close direct relative, father, who has diabetes type 2 (diagnosed in mid 50s). The last 3 days I've woken up in the middle of the night and had this strange sensation that I needed to pee. However it definitely isn't a strong, intense urge but rather just a slight awareness if that makes sense.
Avatar f tn Just the vein hurts? Veins will show much more due to extra blood flow during pregnancy, especially in the breasts.
7791326 tn?1396488062 I just have such a difficult time controlling my food/Carb intake and therefore my sugars. Anyways I really am just curious as to others experience with pregnancy and diabetes and if anyone has some encouraging words.

Avatar n tn I am looking for some type of electronic, hand-held carb counter that has a library of foods pre-programmed into it. I would like it to be able to plug in the portion size and have it calculate the total carbs. Plus, I'd like to be able to add foods to it. Although his pump can do some of this already, I'd like to have a separate calculator that isn't attached to his body. I would also like to get a dry/liquid measuring set and a kitchen scale for home use.
