s due to using findriside for hair loss. My hair is fine but not worth it now. I only just noticed it four days ago and have immediately stoped taking the medication. Would you say I have done permanent damage or when the findristride is totaly out if my system will it all go back to normal. I have an okay sex life and I am 32.

I am totally off of meds and have been for 5 months. I feel the need to start my meds again but am terrified of the hair loss. My mohter is almost completely bald on top. She has never taken anxiety or depression meds but has needed them for years because she is totally stresses and jsut a miserably unhappy person. I wonder if the stress has beent he cause of her hair loss. I feel like I am my mom made over without the meds.
Although hair loss isn't listed as one of the side effects of Tamoxifen, it does occur. The only help would be stopping the drug and thereby it's action which of course is not advisable. In the meantime it's whatever type of cover-up makes you feel comfortable with the condition ... or nothing if you aren't bothered too much with the results. Regards ....
They call that non scarring hair loss which means it is reversible when you stop the medication. There is some association of depakote for that. I think for some, we really have to weigh if the side effects are worth the benefit. Your son's seizures are pretty intrusive to his life. What is he willing to live with in terms of side effects for the benefit of controlling the seizures? Have they checked his thyroid by the way?

But if it is caused by the possible side effect of the synthroid, then if you stop the drug the hair loss stops. Hypothyroidism causes your hair to thin badly. I have that too because I am undermedicated.
No, you will not go bald, but you can get severely thinning hair. Most people that have this problem do better on a T3 T4 thyroid med. Also, make sure your iron levels are good. I take Evening Primrose Oil, which does not stop hair loss but nourishes the hair and helps soften it....
I have been taking the medication 5-6 weeks and for the past week or so I am noticying hair loss. (roughly double the normal amount of hair I would loose in a day.) My hair is noticably thinning. Hi! Maybe this is not really because of dorix. I'm losing a lot of hairs these days and I'm not taking tablets. If dorix produces this loss of hair I'm pretty sure that this loss has been increased because of the weather. Don't desperate but take care of your hair. Luck!!
