3060903 tn?1398568723 While this temporarily relieves anxiety, it can also lead to unwanted side effects. The higher the dose, the more pronounced these side effects typically become. However, some people feel sleepy, foggy, and uncoordinated even on low doses of benzodiazepines, which can cause problems with work, school, or everyday activities such as driving. Some even feel a medication hangover the next day.

Once the dose was reduced (I take 20mg of Nadolol) I notice no side effects.
Avatar n tn My primary care physician has prescribed lebatalol for my high blood pressure, butalbital for the headaches, and propranolol (beta blocker) as a preventative measures for the headache. The medications has little to no effect at times. The headaches has not gone away and it actually wakes me up in the middle of night and in the last couple of days i have developed a new symptom, i get cold chills but only on my upper arms and thighs about 20-30 minutes after the headaches starts.
Avatar f tn All were normal but the doctor suggested I check with my internist about the beta blocker, Propranolol, that I have been taking for years. I have such bad tachycardia that I can't get along without it. I am also on a calcium channel blocker for hypertension. When I told my regular doctor that my temperature wasn't going up to 98.6 any longer, he said he thought I was "obsessing about it" and probably just had the flu.
