Propranolol la 80mg

Common Questions and Answers about Propranolol la 80mg

inderal

Avatar f tn Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day. For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin.
Avatar f tn I slowly got off propranolol 2 weeks ago after my surgery for hyperthyroid and after i did i starting getting really bad anxiety attacks, this whole week has been horrible, from day to night i havnt been able to relax. 2010625 tn?1329372056 I just started latuda 80mg. I got akathisia from it so my doctor put me on cogentin. I am not sure the cogentin is working though. Does it take a while for the cogentin to build up in the system before it starts working good? Or does the akathisia go away once you get use to the new med? I think it might be getting worse first it was just my leg shaking, tapping my fingers, and clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth a bit. Now it is so bad I can barely type because my hands are so fidgety.
Avatar n tn I have been on Sotalol 80mg twice a day for six years. I am experiencing some degree of ED. Could this have possibly started causing this after the sixth year. Has anyone experienced anything like this??
Avatar f tn 230lbs I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. My doctor put me on 80mg of propranolol to help lower my BP. I wore a 24hr blood pressure monitor before being diagnosed and my average blood pressure was around 150/90. I don't understand why my blood pressure is so high? I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I eat pretty healthy especially as of lately. I've been trying to excersize atleast 4 days a week (walking, golfing, kayaking etc).
1243620 tn?1274790697 hort696 I was taking 80mg of propranolol extended release since about 2004. Then suddenly at the end of 2018 whenever I took it my BP would jump to 152/94 and I would have a MAJOR panic attack! Once the garbage sent my BP to 256/100+. I have no idea why, and good luck getting any doctor to believe you. Now if I take it,(which I no longer have any intention to), it always does the same thing!
Avatar m tn There are no significant thyroid eye signs but the symptoms are such that I would like her to see Professor Chris Hammond, Consultant Eye Surgeon who has an interest in thyroid eye disease. In the interim I have advised her to continue on Propranolol SR 80mg daily, Carbimazole 20mg twice daily and I would be grateful if you could add in Desunin (Vitamin D3) three capsules daily.
Avatar m tn There was just a report on the news last week that statins have been linked top type II diabetes. My wife is on 80mg of Simvastatin while I'm on 20mg. Coincidence or not, we both contracted type II in recent years. I believe that the benefits pf statins outweigh the risks and have altered my eating lifestyle so to nearly exclude carbohydrates. This has enabled me to continue statin regime while keeping my fasting blood glucose levels at acceptaptable unmedicated levels.
Avatar m tn I was not on any medicine until 2 days ago when doctor put me on PROPRANOLOL 160 dose now my rate has droped to 50 when i am working. i am worried what will happen when i go to sleep.
233622 tn?1279334905 I'm taking 45. I think the highest regularly recommended dose is 80 mg/day, but a neuro once told me that some people take over 100--it all depends if you can tolerate it. I think I would be a complete zombie well before 100.
Avatar m tn t controlling my tachycardia so well so they just took me off of it last week when I was admitted back into the hospital and put me on Inderal LA 120 mg. daily. I think the symptoms are even worse on this one...I have been so fatigued, depressed and absolutely no energy. Normally I use to be full of energy, never felt tired and was always happy and not ever depressed. I think I would rather deal with the tachycardia and SVT's than the side effects of the medication.
Avatar m tn i have been put on beta blockers propranolol 40 mg three times a day for benign ventricular ectopic beats and anxiety. im just not sure what times i should take them. how many hours do i need to wait to take another.
Avatar n tn My GP prescribed me propranolol for anxiety symptoms to take for a specific situation at work. I took them occasionally for a few years with no side effects. However, recently things have become very stressful, and I am now taking between 20-60mg a day Monday to Friday. At the weekends and on holidays I don't take any at all. Is it safe to keep changing the dosage and stopping and starting like this? I haven't noticed any side effects.
Avatar n tn Constant fatigue is also felt. Confusion when headache is bad. Medication taken is propranolol 10mg 2x per day to help reduce migrain which does help. Male 46 years old. Head injury 4 years ago but no loss of consciousness so no xrays taken. Sister has MS. Waiting to see a neurologist but that is weeks away and then that will only be a consultation never mind getting booked for tests......growing very concerned. Any insight would be appreciated.

Avatar f tn Since my hospitalization I have been on Propanolol 2 80mg per day and methimizole 7 10 mg tablets/ day. Since beginning these medications, I have gained 35 lbs (March-May). When I mention my weight gain to the drs, they all say, "the medication will cause that". My question is, has anyone else experience a tremendous amount of weight gain like this in such a short period of time and did anyone loss the weight after treatment???? Please help!
Avatar n tn So i was recently given propranolol 4x10mg daily for anxiety and was wondering if i would experience weight gain on such a low dose? I would also like to lose weight, but with me not being able to get my heart in target zone, im wondering will i find it hard to lose weight? Also how safe is exercising/weight lifting on this medication. Feels really weird that my heart does not pound when running!
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Propranolol by the doc a year ago and taking 80mg seems to help sometimes but i have low blood pressure anyway and i really dont want to take these as they only sometimes help. I took 2 last night and here i am awake at 3.30am. I am super healthy, and dont drink caffeine, alchohol. I do breath work etc and excercise when i have the energy. I have slept now for 10 days and i feel so so low. My heart has a huge pressure in my chest and pain in my upper back.
1696309 tn?1306552714 I just had some thyroid tests done last week because I was feeling ill with flu symptoms that weren't going away--in particular, a ridiculously sore throat and persistent cough. My Free T3 was 13.4 and normal range is 2.0-4.4. My TSH was .0006 and normal range is 0.450-4.500. And my Free T4 was 3.53 and normal range is 0.82-1.77. I'm scheduled for a thermal scan with uptake for 2 weeks down the road. And today I had more Thyroid tests done--in particular, antibodies tests.
Avatar m tn It's been a little over 24 hours since the last time i used oxycontin 80mg, i know there are people on here with serious problems to legitamte conditions and would probably be extremely mad to hear my story. I'm looking for whatever help and support i can get, recently i been smoking approx anywhere from 2-20 oxy 80 mg a day for about 1 month and a half now.
Avatar m tn i've been taking around 80mg of Codeine (5 x 16mg dosages through day) for 15 years. I've just realised that I therefore have a drug proble. I am desperate to stop - Can't see my GP/Doctor for various reasons. My question is, if I go cold turkey will the low dose I've been taking work in my favour or will I suffer hell. Also if I go cold turkey, will I crave the tablets (I don't at present) what will stop me rushing out to the pharmacy and buy more?
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
