I'm 9 days post IUI. I started with breast tenderness yesterday, unsure if its "period" breast tenderness or... i'm trying to think positively, as i suppose we all do. My preg test is on the 13th. I'm so glad i found this forum it really does help to talk with people who truly understand. Thank you.

I had my 1st cycle trying IUI and prometrium, Dr told me if after 14 past IUI BFN then stop prometrium. Friday was 14 days and of course BFN I stopped in the am and am wondering when AF will show.

So after you did IUI, you are not prescribe to help your lining with Prometrium or something like that?? Mine are also almost clear a little yellow but the pill that i insert is yellow so I know that since I started to take that pill vaginally, I started to have discarge. But because I started the pill next day after IUI, i don't know whether it is because of the pill or IUI..

I had my 3rd IUI on 5/7/08. I took Clomid on days 5-9. This morning I was not feeling well (nausea, tired, etc). I am really hoping that I am pregnant but I'm not sure if my "symptoms" are just in my head or real. It seems too early to have pregnancy symptoms but what do you think? Has anyone had symptoms this early on? Could they just be related to Clomis? Any input is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I am in the same boat as the original poster. I have been taking prometrium vaginally the day after IUI which was on May 25th and i have started headaches today....

Hey Girl, first of all did you do any hormones with your IUI .... clomid/fsh shots/ trigger shots.... Is your ovulation being monitored via Ultrsound and LH levels???

Question about taking Prometrium (progesterone) after an iui--does it cause cramping? I've been feeling crampy since yesterday (day 6 after iui) and I'm wondering if that is due to the progesterone. I don't want to get my hopes up thinking it's possibly implantation cramping if it's probably just due to the Prometrium...

my 5th IUI (3rd on Clomid) ended with a BTN, but still no AF. wondering if the prometrium might delay my AF. I stopped it 2 days ago but still no sign of AF. I did blood test today but won't know the result till tomorrow, just to confirm the failure. I am really fed up with the trying and no knowing what could've gone wrong. I think I am ready to move on to IVF now. good luck to you all who are in the 2ww and many BTPs coming to your way.

any other ladies on Prometrium?? I am almost 5 weeks today I've had 2 miscarriages in the last 7 months and my docotr put me on Prometrium today 100mg suppositories 2 times a day. I really hope this baby stays with me I go for my first scan on June.

A little over a week ago I had a canceled IUI due to too many follicles and very high estrogen. Since then I've been taking 200mg Prometrium twice a day (to bring on my period I think). Also since then, I've had a lot of pain in my breasts. It seems to be getting a little bit better but I thought if it was related to the high estrogen it would be gone by now. It's still very much present. Did anyone ever experience this and is it normal? Thanks!

I had an IUI a few weeks ago and then started taking prometrium for ten days. I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?

I'm seriously considering injectables... I would appreciate it if you ladies that have experience with these would share anything about these... cost, side effects, follies produced, + p/g's.... Anything.

I am 7 dpo and had a medicated iui 1 week ago. My progesterone level was 17 today and they put me on prometrium bc they want it around 20? Does this mean im not pregnant?

I took Prometrium with my FET and my son is 2 now. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant through IUI and I am on Prometrium. With fertility treatment they almost always give Progesterone.

hopefulcb, When I took prometrium for af (without ovulating) i had normal flow, after our first IUI (also my first ever ovulation) without prometrium I had the heaviest flow I have ever had It was the first time i bleed through in seconds, tmi sorry. This is our second IUI and I took prometrium from 3dpIUI this cycle I should start tomorrow BFN this AM so I will let you know if it was worse than last cycle, man i might not survive if it is :). Everyone else..

....but I'm still a bit worried. I had my IUI 2 weeks ago today.....my HCG was 48.3 and my progesterone 12.9. I thought I read that HCG should be at 100 and progesterone at least 20. Did anyone else have numbers like this and still have a viable pregnancy? The MD office said they were "ok" and not to worry but I can't help it! LOL I'm taking Prometrium 3x/day and I go back for another bloodtest on Monday. At that time they may increase my Prometrium.

s 90 mg of progesterone. Does this seem low? Before (with a different dr) I was on 400 prometrium and then switched to 800 mg compounded progesterone in a vaginal suppository. Are the dosages somehow different or am I getting 1/8 what I was before?

t wanting to let go of the egg this month (had IUI yesterday sono to check today and even with trigger follie is growing bigger 25mm). I have my prometrium I was supposed to start using intravaginally tonight... (hx of low progesterone high estrogen and endo). The RN at the RE said I could hold off or I could go ahead and take it in a few days..but didn't seem real confident in the second option..

5 mg day 3-7, followed by overlap Gonal F 150 units day 6-10, IUI April 25 and 26 (Sunday, Monday) and about to start Prometrium tonight. My Beta is on May 9th. Good luck to everyone! Here's hoping to keeping each other sane and a BFP soon!

Clomit makes the linig thin for most of the women.But maybe you're not yet out for this cycle. I have gottten pregnant 3 times with timed BD even though my re wanted to do IUI. So don't give up yet hope. Prometrium makes your lining thicker so maybe it will work. But i agree not doing clomit next time, injectables are much more better.

I have my blood test on Monday. I am still taking Prometrium suppositories. Do you know if Prometrium will delay a period? I was gonna call my dr today but I feel like a nag!

I will test on 5/26 since i am on Prometrium. and Tarobinc - my tummy area is uncomfortable after 2 days IUI too. It's not a cramp but it's hard to describe. It's managable, but still it's uncomfortable. No symtoms for now. Once a while I feel tingling on my bbs. light pain, not intense. Good luck to all ladies who are in 2ww with me. Let catch BFP this time and wish we all have double wammy........

Hi there- I am taking prometrium right now and I also took it last cycle. I had my third IUI on Tuesday and I was instructed to start it yesterday. I thought the same thing when I first saw the bottle-don't take if you are or could become pregnant. I guess our RE's know best...best of luck to you!

usually i ovulate CD15, but this cycle i ovulated CD13. I have 31days cycle so i expect to have AF tomorrow. I am not sure this is the month because right now i can feel AF is coming. I don't have any cramp or anything, but somehow the body tells me it's coming. That's ok. my DH and I already plan to try one more time with additional medicine. My dr will put me on 150mg clomid (3-7) while i also have a injection on CD3, 5, 7, and 9. it's repronex.
