prometrium for iui

I had my 1st cycle trying IUI and prometrium, Dr told me if after 14 past IUI BFN then stop prometrium. Friday was 14 days and of course BFN I stopped in the am and am wondering when AF will show.

I recently underwent IUI after Clomid, Follistim and Ovidrel, in that order. Since my IUI i have been on Prometrium twice a day. My question is... will i get a period if not pregnant while taking Prometrium?

I am understand what you are feeling right now because i am in the same boat as you. I have my 2nd IUI done on 5/8 and since 2DPIUI i don't feel good at all. feeling tired and cranky. I want to hope that i am pregnant, but dare not to think about it because i have been thinking about being pregnant each cycles and turn out to be a BFN. :-( Today is my 5DPIUI and i don't have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that.

I've been taking prometrium vaginally twice daily for 13 days now (started the day after my IUI) and on day 10, I started noticing a headache, a dull gnawing sensation on both sides of my head. It is day 14 of prometrium now (CD32) and I am still feeling this. If I bend over to pick up something it hurts even more.

i am 7dp iui and am dying to test. ive had cramping since and 4dp iui i had one little spot of pink on the tp. but only 1. this was my 5th iui 3rd with my re so i really hope it works. good luck! oh and im on prometrium so that may be causing the cramping and slight nausa. still keeping my fingers crossed!

A little over a week ago I had a canceled IUI due to too many follicles and very high estrogen. Since then I've been taking 200mg Prometrium twice a day (to bring on my period I think). Also since then, I've had a lot of pain in my breasts. It seems to be getting a little bit better but I thought if it was related to the high estrogen it would be gone by now. It's still very much present. Did anyone ever experience this and is it normal? Thanks!

I had an IUI a few weeks ago and then started taking prometrium for ten days. I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?

Question about taking Prometrium (progesterone) after an iui--does it cause cramping? I've been feeling crampy since yesterday (day 6 after iui) and I'm wondering if that is due to the progesterone. I don't want to get my hopes up thinking it's possibly implantation cramping if it's probably just due to the Prometrium...

I am sick of it. I have not had a m/c before. My RE just does that for protocol after IUI. I am also on 6 mg. of estrace a day.

I did accupuncture twice a week for 3 weeks and 3 times after the IUI. my NP told me to use Prometrium twice a day after IUI which I did the last 2 cycles when I was on Clomid and my AF came before the end of 2ww. but now it's been 17 dpIUI and still no sign of AF. I've already stopped Prometrium althought my NP told me not to. I just don't want to have any false hope any more. I had 4 follis size from 24 to 20. did IUI 48 hrs after the surge.

I have pcos and have been on Metformin for almost a year. On Friday the 26th day before IUI she gave me a shot to ovulate and she told me on the 28th that I did ovulate. On Monday the 8th my Dr. called me and said that my progesterone level was 25,but I am not sure what this means and would tomorrow be a good day to take a HPT? I have also been on Prometrium since March 3rd, one pill vaginally at bed time.

I went for a CD12 follie check thinking she would send me home and have me come back next week. I usually ovulate CD 17 - 20. But, NO! I had a nice HUGE follie measuring at 24! My lining was 9.5. I did 5mg of Femara on CD 3 - 7! So pumped! We did the HCG right then and we are headed back at 9:30 in the morning for the IUI! I am so happy this isn't going to be a long drawn out cycle and that the Femara worked!! Woooopeeee!!

hopefulcb, When I took prometrium for af (without ovulating) i had normal flow, after our first IUI (also my first ever ovulation) without prometrium I had the heaviest flow I have ever had It was the first time i bleed through in seconds, tmi sorry. This is our second IUI and I took prometrium from 3dpIUI this cycle I should start tomorrow BFN this AM so I will let you know if it was worse than last cycle, man i might not survive if it is :). Everyone else..

My RE put me on Crinone gel 8% after my iui--it says on the package that it's 90 mg of progesterone. Does this seem low? Before (with a different dr) I was on 400 prometrium and then switched to 800 mg compounded progesterone in a vaginal suppository. Are the dosages somehow different or am I getting 1/8 what I was before?

Hello all...I guess I don't really have a question...but more of a statement..I am in my 2ww...8dptrigger, 7dpo and 6dp first round of IUI..and I am going freaking crazy!! I am on 600mcg's of Prometrium daily and just don't feel like myself!! The wait is unbelievable and I can't stop thinking about pregnancy, babies, success rates and failing. So I guess I do have a question....Does anyone else feel this way? Or has felt this way?

Do yall think that it would be better for me to wait a couple of days in hopes that I O somewhere in there, and go ahead and take the prometrium for 14 days? I started to think about it and even if i dont' have a chance at a bfp this month at least it would help suppress the endo!! What do yall think? my fear is that i start it in a few days and will that mess anything up if I still havne' tO'd? Thanks for any advice!

5 mg day 3-7, followed by overlap Gonal F 150 units day 6-10, IUI April 25 and 26 (Sunday, Monday) and about to start Prometrium tonight. My Beta is on May 9th. Good luck to everyone! Here's hoping to keeping each other sane and a BFP soon!

Clomit makes the linig thin for most of the women.But maybe you're not yet out for this cycle. I have gottten pregnant 3 times with timed BD even though my re wanted to do IUI. So don't give up yet hope. Prometrium makes your lining thicker so maybe it will work. But i agree not doing clomit next time, injectables are much more better.

I took Prometrium with my FET and my son is 2 now. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant through IUI and I am on Prometrium. With fertility treatment they almost always give Progesterone.

I was given a prescription for Prometrium from my Dr. Im not pregnant yet but start clomid in 4 days. My Dr said not to start taking the prometrium until I get a BFP. I MC twins back in September, but am not sure if it was due to low progesterone. my question is, on the Prometrium pill container it says do not take if pregnant. I have been somewhat confused about this as the dr said to take it as soon as I get a +.

i am 10 days post iui and went again to re for lots o heavy cramping. beta hcg quant was 0.59 (my re said above .50 without hcg trigger would be positive but very low..

First of all i pray that u get ur BFP this cycle and if things dont go the right way, i hope you go for the IUI and maybe it does the job for you, I have my fingers crossed for you, lol
