t notice a difference after another month of experiementing so I took another 1/2 of estrace. The 2mg dose of estrace seemed to help with the mood swings but the sweating and frontal hair loss has been devastating to me to say the least.The Dr. now has me on 100mg of prometrium together with 1 mg of Estrace, but stated to me that I shouldn't really need the prometrium beings I don't have a Uterus anymore.Am I going to keep loosing my hair like this?

Then after I found out that the baby had stopped growing at 5 week which would explain the hair loss. I continued to lose crazy amounts of hair for a couple of months after my m/c. But it has finally stopped. Thank God I have tons of hair to spare! I saw a lot about hormones when I was researching what was going on.

m on the last day of my 2 weeks of taking Prometrium to get my period back after Lupron. This morning while I was at a hair appointment, I started to get really dizzy and nauseous, and I felt really weak and faint. Then like 2 minutes later I ended up getting sick in the bathroom and lying on the bathroom floor in the salon with horrible lower stomach pain feeling like I was dying. She had to take the foils out of my hair and wash it out and my husband ended up having to come get me.

Hi I was wondering if any one took prometrium during their first trimester of their pregnancy? If yes, what were the side affects? I have had one miscarriage at 4 months and I fear I am probably having another one with my second pregnancy I have been prescribed Prometrium and I am just wondering if it has done any good to any one etc. Thank you.

I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks, when they u/s me, the baby don't show movement and no heart beat.. I should only take the prometrium for first 12 weeks, but my OB told me to continued the left pills, they last till my 15&1/2weeks and on that same day we heard my baby's heart's beating.. what do you think is the reason why my pregnancy stopped at above said weeks. is it bec.

So he put me on Prometrium 200mg for 12 days. I started it on 5/2 and last night I began spotting. Then today heavy flow (mostly dark brown and kinda gooey) and cramps. I have 3 days left of the Prometrium (after today) and he had said I wouldn't start until 3-7 days after. The whole idea of me taking this is to regulate my cycle (it was either this or birth control for 2 months, but he said since I an TTC to try this first).

It would be worthwhile to test both of you if only one of you was tested 2) I doubt that the single strand MTHFR finding is significant, but agree that extra folic acid cannot hurt and might help 3) I would hesitate to start prometrium on day 12 of your cycle. Prometrium is given to treat luteal phase defect, but there really is no evidence that we are able to diagnose luteal phase defect, or that luteal phase defect causes recurrent pregnancy loss.

When and if you are ready to try again or talk to your doctor ask him if prometrium treatment might help. My doctor has me on prometrium (progesterone) every night vaginally for the first trimester. daily low dose asprin, 100X3 per day prometrium (progesterone supplement), fish oil and prenatal vitamins. I take all except the prometrium even while not pregnant (we plan to try again as soon as possible). I know it's hard, but stay strong and keep believing. I got to the point I never thought it would happen for me, yet here he is. It's scary but just take it one day at a time!

As a preventative measure, my RE prescribed prometrium for me. I was a little squeamish about taking the suppositories so I received the tablet form. I need to take 2 tablets 3x a day. I'm looking at the bottle right now and I'm a feeling anxious about it. I'm worried about the possible side affects. I'm scared about fooling around with my hormone levels. Please, please tell me I'm being silly.

Low iron levels can cause hair loss. You might want to get that checked.

I'm losing hair too. Not in clumps but I clog the drain once a week from my hair loss. And all my friends said their hair was so full and healthy during pregnancy and after lost some. I get a ball of hair during evey wash and its not normal for me also my scalp itches like crazy and I don't have bugs lol o had my husband check lol!

Especially after combing my hair,there is a ton of hair in the sink. However my hair seems to be growing as fast as it falls out so I have thickness still. Someone told me to drink more milk and I find on the days that I do I see less shedding.

I actually posted about this a month or so ago. I have hair loss that really started post Tx. My hair didn't grow hardly at all during Tx, than about 6 weeks post Tx it really started falling out, probably lost 50%. Everyone says it should grow back fine after 6 months post Tx. On a 12 week treatment with peg , ribavirin and sovaldi should I experience hair loss ? I am a hairstylist with very long thick hair ,still planning on working . Not planning to tell clients about treatment ,mostly due to fear they will not understand . How much hair loss should I expect?

But, every few years my thyroid just burns out, and I go hypo. When I do I experience extreme hair loss and brittle nails. For me, the animal based thyroid substitutes work much better when I'm in a hypo phase. Additionally, sometimes when I am not hypo, the medication I take for my Graves' just knocks down my T4/T3 levels so low that once again I start to lose a lot of hair.
