prometrium and morning sickness

y current pregnancy I started prometrium at 3 days past ovulation and continued with it til 12 1/2 weeks and am now 26 weeks. It is best to have it started as early as possible but it does help if there aren't still other issues with the baby. I will tell you that it made my morning sickness much worse than with any of my other pregnancies and my breasts were extremely sore and I was always exhausted until I came off the meds.

t stop when you stop the Prometrium, however, it might stop (pregnancy associated nausea and vomiting aka morning sickness) often gets better as you get into your second trimester--week 13-14 or so. There are some pretty decent and inexpensive medications that might help you--the first one that comes to my mind is Reglan. This is an old generic and would be pretty cheap. There are also lots and lots of remedies for nausea/vomiting.

I really have not had any morning sickness yet. I too have read that often times morning sickness picks up around the 5-6 weeks. My biggest problem is being bloated -- really bad. My pants are tight because of it. My RE told me that it may be from the Prometrium. Some days I wish I could put a pin in my stomach and relieve it :) Take care all!

My daughter just took her 1st dose of prometrium 200mg and already 45 minutes later she's feeling tired and dizzy. Is there something she can do to minimize the effects?

im 11 weeks pregnant and im sick about 3 times a day every one i talk to says sickness is a really good sign of a healthy pregnancy but i cant stand it fingers crossed it goes at 12 weeks like my last pregnancy good luck 2 you xxx

We are now 6 cycles after m/c and I got a BFP this morning. I have had horrible morning sickness (all day) so I figured I'd take a test - AF due tomorrow - and it showed up BFP in like 30 secs. I went over for blood work this morning and started take prometrium straight away. Hopefully this one will stick. SSBD to all!!

I had sex once after the insert and it did cause some burning for me as he stayed in... but it could have been the retrieval and other exams that cause me to be irriated... But I would BD before the insert - it is just simpler that way.. not to have to worry so much!

I took 2 prometrium pills at night just because they make me very dizzy and there was no way I could take them in the morning and be able to function at work. The estace I took 2x a day and I had chest pain with them. The prometrium is progestrone and that is to help with your lining. I was also told that estace, which is estrogen was supposed to help me with my lining and my Doctor also told me it helps my chances with getting pregnant. Good luck this month. TMI side note--- just got my first morning sickness that made me puke.

Besides that all symptoms have been normal. Light cramping, brest tenderness, slight fatigue, no morning sickness yet though. Thank you.

Also, is anyone taking Prometrium orally? What dose are you taking and what time of day do you take it? Are you worried about any side effects it may have on the baby?

t know should I find another doctor....Would it be OK to come off Prometrium all of a sudden and I should reduce my dosage to once a day...Please help..so confused...

With my son my morning sickness was terrible. It lasted til I was roughly around 6-7 months. Today I am 12 weeks 6 days and 2 days ago my morning sickness went away. I haven't been queasy or anything. I am only worried because with my 3 miscarriages this happened but also came with a fever and severe cramps. I know I am probably worrying over nothing I just can't help but be paranoid I guess.

t have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that. Clomid since you took it for awhile, it's will not stay in your system by now. I am on Prometrium for 15 days after IUI. Let's hope for BFP. the mind does plays trick on us and makes us think we are pregnant. Just relax and wait until your AF due..... I will take my HPT on 5/26.

I've really been suffering with morning sickness or all day and night sickness as I like to call it. My doctor has prescribed Cyclizine, but it says NOT to be taken when pregnant, unless advised by a doctor, which seems a bit ambiguous to me. Can anyone reassure me about it's safety. Thank you.

now i am finally 14 weeks pregnant almost, and had off and on morning sickness. some days were horrible and others o did not throw up at all, so it appears as though morning sickness is not always a sign of a healthy or unhealthy pregnancy. i hope you have great luck TTC this time. did the doctor check your progesterone levels and all the other things?

I was wondering if taking the Prometrium at night and in the morning could be triggering bleeding? This is not like any miscarriage I have ever had. I guess I am still pregnant. I tried to get my OB to do hcg again today (48 hrs) after last level to just give me some peace of mind either way. They told me to wait until next week for U/S. ANY advice is helpful!!!! Thank you. I don't get morning sickness and I'm 8 weeks and a day today but my sister would have some vitamin water and something salty. Like a few lay chips. The more you skip through meals and the less you eat the worse. Don't let your metabolism slow down. Make sure you much on something every 2-3 hours. For how small it is.

m on Prometrium twice a day and I called my nurse, she said to continue taking the Prometrium and test on Sunday like the doctor told me to. What do yall think? Thanks for the comments and Good Luck to everyone!

HI everyone I am 3 weeks pregnant and my doctor said my progesterone levels are low and prescribed Prometrium for me to take vaginally until I am 10 weeks pregnant, I am worried because I read up on the drug and there seem to be some serious side effects. I still am not sure if I am pregnant, I have a lot of the symptoms (Breast tender, nipples slightly brown and big, frequent urination, emotional, morning/afternoon sickness, weight gain and some more).
