prometrium and discharge

Wow, actually, I had no side effects from Clomid as well, and I had u/s where they saw one mature follicle developed and then trigger shot and then IUI...so I guess I ovulated.. and my lining was good but I guess they still give you that prometrium pill just to keep lining good..

30-7:00 and the pink discharge has seemed to stop. I wonder how long it takes for the prometrium to dissolve and get into your system? Thank you for taking the time to help give me some some!

m on Prometrium twice a day and I called my nurse, she said to continue taking the Prometrium and test on Sunday like the doctor told me to. What do yall think? Thanks for the comments and Good Luck to everyone!

I'm having the same exact fluid discharge, and I thought maybe it caused by the prometrium suppository as well. It dries up aIso. I guess I'll get checked for a yeast infec. as well. What we're going thru for our lil beans huh!?!?!?!

I have always wondered if the suppositories affect the eggs and she thinks that prometrium caps are better. Any thoughts about this ladies? When I use the bathroom a few hours after inserting it I get a pink discharge on the TP and a tiny bit of this white discharge/ powdery stuff in my underwear. No real mess at all. I hope they are working = / When I used the bathroom after inserting them for the first time I had the pink discharge and my heart sank, I thought I was spotting until I realized it was the residue from the pill. You would think they would make them a different color other than pink.... Geesh!!

m 5 weeks pregnant and ive had a lot of discharge too, and i researched it on the internet and its caused by high levels of progesterone which supports early pregnancy until the umbilical cord is formed, so im taking this as s positive sign!

hello, i am on my first IUI cycle and am 11 days past my trigger, but it still have like lite discharge and twinges and it is kinda of freaking me out as i have already had 2 miscarriages and have been trying treatment for almost a year now. Does any one know if this is normal? ..

I am taking Prometrium and took it my last pregnancy. If your Progesterone is low you will miscarry. Likewise if there is a genetic issue with the little embryo that would cause miscarry Prometrium won't "save" the pregnancy. But at least you'll be able to get far enough along using the Prometrium to see what is going to happen and possibly prevent a miscarriage in the event your little bean is healthy as can be! Prometrium makes me feel really dizzy.

I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?

I took 400mg of prometrium a day and shots every other day for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy.

I was going to suggest the same as Christine...right before work, right after work and at bedtime. As for how far in, i would try to get it as close to the cervix as possible. I used prometrium vaginally once after an IUI (and crinone in my IVF cycle), and that's what I did. And yes, I would wear a pantyliner, because it can cause some creamy, yellowy discharge. I have never engaged in any sexual activities and do not understand how I got this disease. I took Prometrium in the past to regulate my menstruate cycle. I did some research on this drug and one of side effects for this drug is Herpes. Is it possible this medicine could cause a false positive or a positive blood results for Herpes Type 2?

I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days.

Well, I have pcos too and my doctor put me on metformin 500mg three times a day and prometrium 200mg twice a day for 10 days each month. The metformin is good for me insulin levels and working with the prometrium my periods have come back after years of not having one. If your periods aren't coming and you're not ovulating it's so hard to have a baby. Ask your doc about putting you on metformin and prometrium or clomid. :) Good luck!

I think I scratched the inside of myself one night with the plunger for my prometrium. The next day I had brown discharge and it lasted 2 days. I am pretty sure it was from the scratch. But the dr. said no big deal and brown blood is old blood. From what I understand, it could also be leftover from your prior period or implatation.

I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.

They only took my progesterone levels once after I started the Prometrium to make sure it was theraputic and it was in the 20's don't remember exactly. But they haven't taken it again. But I've had 4 ultrasounds where we have seen baby's heartbeat and everything is well.

I did not have any side effects that I remember (it was 5 months ago) so if I did they were so minor. I did discharge some of the cream, and when it was discharged it came out in little clumps. It wasn't messy to use. I wish you lots of luck!
