prometrium and brown discharge

I had some brown discharge as well and doctor gave me prometrium, did they give you any?

I think I scratched the inside of myself one night with the plunger for my prometrium. The next day I had brown discharge and it lasted 2 days. I am pretty sure it was from the scratch. But the dr. said no big deal and brown blood is old blood. From what I understand, it could also be leftover from your prior period or implatation.

I can't sleep I just saw some brown pinkish blood:( some side left pain and some cramping :( waiting for doctor office to open to call her.

With my first pregnancy, I had some brown discharge, and ended up finding out I had a missed miscarriage. With my second pregnancy, I had some spotting around 20 weeks and found out it was just a scratch on the outside of my cervix and our little guy was just fine. But any sign of blood, no matter what color, I'd be calling my doctor to make sure that the baby is fine. This is especially true if you've had a miscarriage before. But, it is completely up to you what you feel is best.

If your levels are good and the spotting brown and you dont have pain, there is every reason to be hopeful and reassured. I haven't had the progesterone yet so I dont know if it causes a discharge, but it is a gel so that would make sense. Hope things calm down for you! Personally, I had no idea this would be so scary.

Prometrium doens't cause m/c actually it prevents it. Many women take prometrium to support pregnancy. Many women have low level of progesterone so they start prometrium.It is safe to take. I started having some brown spotts the day when i had to do the first beta and my RE started me on prometrium and the spotting stopped. If you're having a m/c is not because of prometrium.Check your levels to see if is a good pregnancy.

my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for 3 1/2 months and for maybe the last few weeks i have been having light brown discharge off and on could that be a possibility as to why im not pregnant?

Wow, actually, I had no side effects from Clomid as well, and I had u/s where they saw one mature follicle developed and then trigger shot and then IUI...so I guess I ovulated.. and my lining was good but I guess they still give you that prometrium pill just to keep lining good..

ve given up on this month. Going on 3 days of brown, now pink AND brown. Seriously thinking of not wasting the HPT. Calling the DR in the morning. BFP for you tomorrow!!

30-7:00 and the pink discharge has seemed to stop. I wonder how long it takes for the prometrium to dissolve and get into your system? Thank you for taking the time to help give me some some!

t know should I find another doctor....Would it be OK to come off Prometrium all of a sudden and I should reduce my dosage to once a day...Please help..so confused...

I started it on 5/2 and last night I began spotting. Then today heavy flow (mostly dark brown and kinda gooey) and cramps. I have 3 days left of the Prometrium (after today) and he had said I wouldn't start until 3-7 days after. The whole idea of me taking this is to regulate my cycle (it was either this or birth control for 2 months, but he said since I an TTC to try this first). Sooooo, my question is, has anyone started bleeding before finishing Prometrium???

m on Prometrium twice a day and I called my nurse, she said to continue taking the Prometrium and test on Sunday like the doctor told me to. What do yall think? Thanks for the comments and Good Luck to everyone!

I'm having the same exact fluid discharge, and I thought maybe it caused by the prometrium suppository as well. It dries up aIso. I guess I'll get checked for a yeast infec. as well. What we're going thru for our lil beans huh!?!?!?!

I have had 4 miscarriages now (not back to back - I do have 2 little gils 4 and 10mos). Whit my girls I had to be on prometrium because my progesterone levels never went up correctly. I recently had a m/c and I am now in my 1st tww since. My doc has prescribed prometrium to take this time around - (I didn't have enough time to get to docs and stat meds before last m/c).

The next morning I went pee and when I wiped I had dark red blood and then it has been a brownish (varying from light brown to really dark brown) and stringy looking with little pieces. I wear panyliners and the discharge only is present when I wipe and it comes and goes in the amount varying from very light to mild (nothing heavy as of yet). I also have no pains with the discharge.

mine has always been yellow.....I thought maybe it could be from the prometrium....

I have LPD (luteal phase defect) and start taking my prometrium (progesterone) suppository starting 3dpo to build up my uterine lining making it possible for implantation.... (have had 5 early m/c's so far). 2 hours after I inserted my first prometrium suppository this morning I found an abundance of eggwhite cm tinged with brown/pink. Is this too early for implantation? Until now I had read about Crinone not being absorbed completely by the body, and the brown discharge accompanied with it. Initially, the discharge was usual - white/off white creamy (as if the extra crinone was coming out). Around 4dpt, there was a LOT of watery discharge, enough to wet my panty liner. Then it was again back to normal. Since yesterday evening, I have been having a LOT of dark brown blood like discharge, with dark brown specks (feels like periods).

s enough of it, you start seeing this cottage cheese looking discharge (white and lumpy). My RE recommended that I use a finger and gently removed the buildup every 2-3 days or so, right before you insert the next dose. This will not only help with the discharge situation, but also increase absorption of the new gel.

When I use the bathroom a few hours after inserting it I get a pink discharge on the TP and a tiny bit of this white discharge/ powdery stuff in my underwear. No real mess at all. I hope they are working = / When I used the bathroom after inserting them for the first time I had the pink discharge and my heart sank, I thought I was spotting until I realized it was the residue from the pill. You would think they would make them a different color other than pink.... Geesh!!

m 5 weeks pregnant and ive had a lot of discharge too, and i researched it on the internet and its caused by high levels of progesterone which supports early pregnancy until the umbilical cord is formed, so im taking this as s positive sign!
