I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?
My ob/gyn has put me on Prometrium to help regulate my menstrual cycle. My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. This month I thought there was a chance I was pregnant and he told me instead of taking it days 16-25 I should remain on it until I know for sure if I am pregnant. I still have not gotten my period, and I am 3 days late.
Sunday afternoon had cramping and bleeding. Did not take Prometrium the night before due to being told I was having m/c. I called my OB Sunday. He said to keep taking the Prometrium and have my hcg rechecked Monday. I did. Monday my hcg was 44. My bleeding was only light spotting by then. My Doctor said I was still pregnant-could be tubal, molar, or normal. He did not know. He said Progesterone levels taken previous Saturday would tell if it was tubal or molar.
Question about taking Prometrium (progesterone) after an iui--does it cause cramping? I've been feeling crampy since yesterday (day 6 after iui) and I'm wondering if that is due to the progesterone. I don't want to get my hopes up thinking it's possibly implantation cramping if it's probably just due to the Prometrium...
t bleed more than a day. Never got my period. Saw the doc on Oct 13 and did blood work and started Prometrium 400mg for 10 days to induce period. Finished Prometrium on Oct 22. Today is Nov 3 and still no period. My doc said I should get my period within a few days of stopping the Prometrium. Data for Prometrium says should get a period within 7 days. It's now been 12 days since stopping the Prometrium. The bloodwork showed hCG level at 1, TSH at 1.32 and Prolactin at 8.9.
I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
richygirl is right that is what they say but i had a miscarrage 4 months ago and i didn't have bad cramping just little ones and no bleeding, i noticed a pain from my belly button down for about 3 days but that was it i miscarried at 10 weeks 4 days. don't worry though some cramping is totally normal. call your dr if your concerened!
I am on day 22 of cycle. I took clomid 50mg at beginning and have been on prometrium by mouth since day 14. I have been feeling strange today and noticed a little bloody tissue in the bath tub. I am have low back pain and some cramping. I felt ovulation pain on day 14 but the opk did not give me a positive until day 16. Does this sound like I am pregnant?

Im 7wks & 6days pregnant & i have slight cramping in my abdomen, nvr in the center, only on the left & right sides. Is this normal?? It makes me nervous bc i am high risk & im also on prometrium hormone pills to raise my progesterone levels bc they were extremely low to where my dr said i should have m/c..
I was prescribed prometrium and this is my second month. This month I used an ovulator kit and BD on the right days and took prometrium as soon as I ovulated, so why am I not pregnant. I have all the symptoms; but this can also be prometrium side effects. I really do not believe that I am pregnant because I have not experienced any spotting. I am SO frustrated. Has anyone gone through the same experience?
Well it was from 4/14-4/18 and pretty much consisted of heavy spotting and barely any cramping (unusual for me). Then on 4/26-5/1 - same thing!! So then I went to the OBGYN, after an u/s he believed that I wasn't ovulating. So he put me on Prometrium 200mg for 12 days. I started it on 5/2 and last night I began spotting. Then today heavy flow (mostly dark brown and kinda gooey) and cramps.
i have almost the same pregnancy history as you I had to pregnancies (although one was premature) then a miscarriage at 12 weeks, and got pregnant again and my doctor put my on prometrium, but he kept me on till about 12 or 13 weeks to get past were I was when I miscarried. i don't know when it is safe to come off, but if your worried talk with your Dr about your concerns. I know it was easier for me coming off after the first trimester.
Abdominal cramping is not abnormal. I think it depends on how bad bad is. It could be anything from gas (a normal pregnancy symtom) to your uterus beginning to stretch out (also normal).
If you think you are about 3 weeks, only 1 more week until you can take an HPT. I will keep my fingers crossed for you its a BFP. I test in one week as well, along with another woman on this forum, so we'll be right there with you. Good luck!
Then when I added maca and continued the Prometrium, my progesterone level went up to completely normal level!
I had an IUI a few weeks ago and then started taking prometrium for ten days. I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?
Hello! I'm new here and in my IVF tww! I'm currently my own worst enemy and I'm driving myself nuts!! I'm sure soooo many of you can relate! I wanted to know if any other ladies had mild to moderate cramping this late in their wait and still ended up with a BFP? My hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 3 1/2 years. I'm 35 and hubby had a mildly low count. This is our first IVF after countless (and I mean countless!) failed IUI's.
ve had off and on cramping for 9 days, a little in the morning, little in the afternoon and a little at night. They only last a few seconds and I occasionaly get a sharp shooting pain. I noticed that on day 3 of my provera, my CM was very stretchy...that NEVER happens!! So i'm wondering if maybe by some chance I ovulated while on Provera. I called the dr. and she said to wait 14 days, if I haven't started by then, I needed to be seen.
Is this normal?? It's driving me crazy.
