Avatar f tn Will premarin and hrt help with the anxiety that comes along with menopause? I cannot seem to get a straight answer from researching it on the net. I'm desperate for help.
Avatar n tn BTW I personally have major issues agaist premarin just my opinion,,,please go bio-identical ,,,Premarin is made from horses urine ..bio idential is as close as humanly possible to your own natural hormones...
718868 tn?1230730029 t mean to sound rude, but premarin is not a great replacement. It is made from the urine of pregnant mares (horses). They have different make ups than us humans. I hope you get some answers regarding the hormones. Do you take meds for the hyperthyroidism? I had a brief episode of thyroiditis a few years ago and was put on PTU and inderal for a short time. Mine resolved but there are many treatments to get that condition under control.
974371 tn?1424653129 Have another question. My daughter acquired two mini horses. Actually, they are just under the size of Ponies. Long story short, it is a mother and daughter. Mother us around 10+ and the daughter is 4+ years old. The woman that owned them got more involved with horse rescue and the baby was not wirjed with much. They were well cared for and in good health. Well, the baby still nurses!! Daughter had them Vet checked when she got them and the Vet said it was unusual but has seen it before.
186166 tn?1385259382 I don't have horses but have always loved them. Last summer my husband worked at the race track and I got to visit the barns. They were standard bred horses for harness racing. They were so affectionate demanded attention. They would nuzzle my neck and some would lick me......almost like big goofy dogs :) The Clysdales came to visit and I got to "pet" them. They are really huge but also very friendly.
Avatar n tn Please read up on bio-identical hormones, most all consider them to be superior to premarin( which is made from horses urine) I and many other regular members use a product called Vivelle, available in many forms , but I like the patch, just slap one on two time per week, below the belly buttom on abdomen. Bio-identical is much more chemically closer to a womans natural estrogen.
Avatar m tn It was suggested that I try giving my aggressive Female RS Eclectus Bach's Rescue Remedy to calm her down and also stop the feather plucking. I have been able to find numerous articles about people who have used it for themselves, and used on dogs, cats, and horses but only one article about a woman who used it on a severly plucked CAG, along with a blue listerine spraying followed by an aloe vera gel spraying.
612551 tn?1450022175 Probios Microbial Powder in the horses section of the store. The label provides advice for dogs as well as general farm animals. It prescribed 1 teaspoon per day for dogs over 10 pounds. Any experience/opinions about this approach to increase Pro Biotics in a dog's diet? It may be tasteless and could be sprinkled along with some water on dry kibble I will guess.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
Avatar f tn Do I need to continue taking Premarin .0625 or can I discontinue since I am past meopause age.
778044 tn?1299542934 Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.
Avatar f tn t have much time to ride anymore. Also there are lots of rescue farms that are looking for help in taking care of the horses they rescue and maybe you could even get one from there. Just some suggestions hope they help.
Avatar m tn I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.
Avatar f tn I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. My muscle aches are gone and my blood counts are now registering normal.
Avatar f tn Then they noticed that cases of endometrial cancer among Premarin users were going through the roof - the Premarin was causing endometrial hyperplasia, which was placing these women at high risk of endometrial cancer. It was then that they developed Prempro, which adds progestins to the mix, and supposedly reduces these risks.
Avatar n tn Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?
691935 tn?1421027090 My doctor has instructed me to stop taking Premarin because of my age of 65 years due to cancer risks. I also learned that by turning 65 (in the U.S.) insurance will no longer cover. As with most women related issues, we don't count. I started Premarin after a total hysterectomy at age 35. Anyway, I'm experiencing heart palpitations, heat ache, body aches, night sweats, and loud ringing in the ears.
Avatar n tn If the premarin cream causes a yeast infection should I stop useing it(the premarin cream) or keep useing it. I read somewhere that you should continue useing it to get rid of the yeast infection. I am a bit confused.
Avatar f tn She is an almost 7 years old chihuahua who we adopted from a rescue almost 2 years ago. Her health history before rescue is unclear, but she was found to have liver disease (which she is on a special diet and daily meds for). However, because it went untreated for so long, she now has some neurological issues. She drinks a ton, urinates frequently and spins quite a bit. Anyways, this morning she was acting very strangely.
Avatar f tn i had full hysterectomy in october 2009 for ovarian cyst. then my doctor gave me premarin 0.06 1 tablet per day.this medicine is very good.i feel very well to take this.but there is a problem .in 2009 i was 45 kg and now i am 65 kg.please help me and give me a suggestion what will i do and how will i reduce my overweight.
Avatar n tn I had a total hysterectomy 20 years ago. I was prescribed Premarin daily which I took for the next 15 year until the scare of it being direclty involved in the cause of some breast cancers. I stopped immediately. I have fought the battle of hot flashes for the past 6 years and they are starting to taper off. I am now 61 years old. But I have have an increasing problem with hair loss.
Avatar f tn I have owned and rode horses all my life. I am having difficulty coping with not being able to ride because ppl told me I cant. Is it seriously that big a deal to ride? I don't want to hurt my baby, but it's literally the only thing I have done for myself and can't deal with giving it up for so long...
Avatar n tn I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.
Avatar f tn Did the blood test route, etc., took whopping doses of Viatmin D and got put on Premarin, the lowest dose. I did not do well on that. I became actually worse, emotionally and it didn't help the sweats, irritability or anything. My doctor told me to try Estroven, and it's better, but I still feel like crap. I don't sleep well at all, I am irritable and snappish and that is NOT my personality. A friend told me she was in a similar state and took bio-identicals.
Avatar f tn also recommended hormonal tablet and cream which is Premarin 0.625 and premarin cream for 6 months. Now I want to know whetherr there are any side effects to it and if any, what are they and what can i do? Please let me know, as I am a bit tensed.
405614 tn?1329144114 So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. Or, it may be the sinus issue acting up again, or just something that can't be named.
Avatar f tn Hello: hoping somebody can help me. I have been on Premarin.625mg for 7 months and did very well. Before that, I had tried everything else with very little improvement. Before Premarin I was having hot flashes, anxiety, and terrible insomnia. After the first few days of taking Premarin, I began to notice great improvement. My hot flashes went away and insomnia disappeared. I had a few bumps along the way but then everything balanced out. Now, the old symptoms have returned with a vengeance.
