Please read up on bio-identical hormones, most all consider them to be superior to premarin( which is made from horses urine) I and many other regular members use a product called Vivelle, available in many forms , but I like the patch, just slap one on two time per week, below the belly buttom on abdomen. Bio-identical is much more chemically closer to a womans natural estrogen.

in 84 and was on vivelle patch for most of those years. Just estrogen and no progesterone. I was fine until a few years ago and it just got worse. I became so estrogen dominant and became a total mess. I went to a very good hormone imbalance seminar a few days ago and it was great. I think if you went off, you'll regret it in time. There are so many symptoms with low or no hormone production.
I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound,the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
The pain got much worse and I was not feeling myself so I stopped taking the premerin and opted to try a product I found on line called Amberen, so far that isnt doinganything for the hot flashes and night sweats at all but since stopping the premarin my legs are not bothering. I am taking calcium pills for my bones but I am truly worried for my health and want to find the best options for me.
I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. OK, so I went to the doctor because I initially had discharge (lasted a day or two) and itching (alot of itching) and a few small bumps on my labia mostly and vaginal area. The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working.
I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. My muscle aches are gone and my blood counts are now registering normal.
He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes. All of which I thought was monopause. I don't know what to do. I am so scared and confused. I had an echocardigram done and the cardiologist said there were some abnormalities.
Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?
It seems odd to follow fibroid surgery with estrogen HRT (premarin and estrone are both types of estrogen) since estrogen causes fibroids to grow...
You should call your doctor and ask when your period should start.
I'm surprised your doctor did not tell you to use protection (condom, diaphragm) until you are ready to get pregnant since Premarin does not prevent pregnancy...

You had a hyster for an ovarian cyst? Was it cancerous? Was there another reason why they gave you the hyster? Have you had an ultrasound done recently? It is possible to have Ovarian remnant syndrome and a cyst has grown back hence the weight gain however it could be something totally different. Are you having any abdominal issues?
I have owned and rode horses all my life. I am having difficulty coping with not being able to ride because ppl told me I cant. Is it seriously that big a deal to ride? I don't want to hurt my baby, but it's literally the only thing I have done for myself and can't deal with giving it up for so long...
she has a foal which is ready to leave her.the dentist says she is fine.im giving her extra food and she is rugged in field with hayage but it is still dropping off her.does any one have any adivse in what i could do.
Thanks for responding. I have been on HRT, that's why I am seeking something alternative. HRT made me crazy..even on the lowest dosage. I foun d one bioidentical online that actually contained MSG as an ingredient and I am horribly sensitive to that, gives me migraines, which is also one of the lovely s/e of menopause.

and constant nausea especially after eating. Stopped all meds and supplements except Premarin, coated aspirin, biotin, B1 and calcium with D but nothing improved - also experiencing periodic times of extreme tiredness and weakness in legs. Not overweight, very active, and exercise. Good overall health.
Hello: hoping somebody can help me. I have been on Premarin.625mg for 7 months and did very well. Before that, I had tried everything else with very little improvement. Before Premarin I was having hot flashes, anxiety, and terrible insomnia. After the first few days of taking Premarin, I began to notice great improvement. My hot flashes went away and insomnia disappeared. I had a few bumps along the way but then everything balanced out. Now, the old symptoms have returned with a vengeance.
