premarin and high blood pressure

I have celiac, sjogrens, types2 diabetes and high blood pressure. I have been having trouble with my ears, ringing or humming, running and itching. Occasionally I have a butterfly rash that comes and goes. Very recently I had a sudden severe dizzy spell that did not last long but, scared me so that I was afraid to go to sleep. I have noticed some joint swelling and extreme aching. Is it possible that this is a Lupus flare up!

My concern is that I was previously on Zoloft 50mg. and it gave me real bad headaches raised my blood pressure and sent me on a emergent run to the hsp. emergency room,,I am concerned about starting this medicience that it will cause the same problems or worse. My O.B. says they are different and that I should try the effexor. What does everyone else think?

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism less than 6 months ago and was put on Levoxyl 50mcg. Out of the blue I started having panic attacks, to the degree that I had to quit working because I had to be sedated with lorazepam just so I could keep the panic attacks at bay. My doctor suggested I retest my thyroid and my level came back at 0. Now I have hyperthyroidism and my doctor just wants to wait it out for at least one month to see if it will correct itself.

Can this be artificially high because of medications taken for other problems i.e. high blood pressure (5mg Norvasc, 12.5mg Hydrochlorothiazide, .1mg clonodine 2x daily), hormone replacement (premarin 1.25), anit-depressant (150xl Wellbutrin), sleep-aid (Ambien) and Prevacid?

I just got a sudden sharp pain in my side while I was laying on it. I amm on no meds of any kind, so why has this happend 2 me?

I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.

I am 52 and have not had a period for 2 years. I am not doing any HRT and just put up with the wide array of lovely symptoms, hot flashes and migraines that you can set a clock by. The latest thing is tinnitus, I hear my heartbeat and a swooshing in my ears. Is that related to menopause?

I don't have any details on the labs. I just know that my thyroid level was high. And yes, I'm experiencing the fatigue on and off. It lasts for days. My pulse has been as high as 128 upon waking. I've lost 30 lbs. I'm on medicine now. Toprol, 50 mg. I take that twice a day. I also take 5 mg of Tapazole before bed to help with the heart racing at night. On occasion, I feel pretty good.

My health/sanity issues have not changed. I have anxiety, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, insomnia, body aches, memory problems, difficulty concentrating and staying on tasks, no sex drive, the list goes on. I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound,the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working. He then gave me a corticosteroid cream which worked but dried me out (had to use vaseline as well) every time I stopped using it, I would get itchy again and my lips would start getting dry, sometimes getting papercut like tears, and flaky.

The pain got much worse and I was not feeling myself so I stopped taking the premerin and opted to try a product I found on line called Amberen, so far that isnt doinganything for the hot flashes and night sweats at all but since stopping the premarin my legs are not bothering. I am taking calcium pills for my bones but I am truly worried for my health and want to find the best options for me.

if your blood pressure is too high it restricts the blood vessels and can stop baby from getting enough blood and oxygen. if it gets extremely high it can cause seizures. are you seeing spots or having blurred vision? I agree with bjbbeauchamp, try nor to stress! and if it goes up any more then go to L&D! its better to be safe than sorry! I have had HORRIBLE swelling in my legs for months now, but no protein in my urine until the other week.

I am 35 years old and never thought I had HIgh Blood pressure until recently. As I am into my higher studies, when visiting the doctor for a fall, they told me I had high pressure readings of 160/110. 4 years ago after the birth of my child I was on 4 different medications. Today none, and my blood pressure is 100/60. All the ideas mammo gave you on exercise, low salt diet and more is what helped me get off medications and get my BP back on track. I have had high blood pressure my whole pregnancy, often as high as 170s/100. I was put on meds and told modified bed rest last week at 35w5d. I went in at 35 weeks and 4 days and my blood pressure was high and they gave me meds and did a 24 hour urine test but during the night, even on the meds my blood pressure got to 180/110 and they c sectioned my baby that day.
