Anyone who has been on Lupron, Premarin and Medroxy ever experience sore breasts and increase in breast size? My boobs have gotten bigger and are like constantly sore!!! Hurts to take off my bra!! Please help!!!

I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.

My doctor set me up with a breast specialist since I have stabbing and burning pain in my left breast. I don't wear but only a sports bra. Hurts to have clothes hitting the nipple also.

Hi there. I had a laparotomy due to the presence of a 6 cm cyst with the chance of being cancer, last December. It turned out it was an endometriomasa and the doctor was able to drain it without removing the ovary and I was given a 3-month Lupron shot. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and ran the CA -125 marker, three months after the surgery and there were no signs of any kind of cysts or adhesions.

It may be feeding of estrogen and this would mean that you would have to get off the premarin and likely even take an estrogen antagonist, which will help keep the estrogen away from the cancer. or your doctor may just decide to go off the premarin. depening on thbe kind of the cancer, and it's severity, you may, or may not be referred to a medical oncologist, and even a radiation oncolgist, at which time chemotherapy and surgery would be addressed.

Jan 6/09, Due to difficulty with dysfunctional brain (no hormones) oncologist started 0.625 mg Premarin with Tamoxifen. I noticed a steady increase of hard bowel movements and bloating in my abdomen/pelvis. Feb 17/09 (43 days later) my CA125 count was 220. I am awaiting results of ultra sound taken on Feb18th and a CT scan on my abdomen next week. Why would the CA125 count suddenly rise to 220 during the 43 days of taking the Premarin and Tamoxifen? I started having very bad stinging sharp pains in my lower legs and discussed this with my doctor but he didnt take me very serious and only lowered the dosage. The pain got much worse and I was not feeling myself so I stopped taking the premerin and opted to try a product I found on line called Amberen, so far that isnt doinganything for the hot flashes and night sweats at all but since stopping the premarin my legs are not bothering.

The thought today is NOT to take it at all or if absolutely necessary the lowest dose for the shortest length of time. It does increase your risk of developing breast cancer and most Dr.s choose NOT to prescribe at all. I would have a serious discussion with your Dr. about this if I were you. Regards .....

Hi, just wondering if anyone on here as had to go through a medical menopause in order to stop the production of estrogens which is what some breast and ovarian cancers feed off? I started one using a nasal spray at the start of teh year but did not last the month as it literally sent me crazy. I became so estrogen dominant and became a total mess. I went to a very good hormone imbalance seminar a few days ago and it was great. I think if you went off, you'll regret it in time. My mother and 1 aunt had early onset of Alzheimers. both took premarin. So my guess is... there's your culprit...if this all started at the same time you started the Premarin and nothing else would fit. You sound a bit like me, I had hyster a year ago and bso, 6 weeks ago, am on hrt patch and take paxil, I also have thyroid problems and take synthroid. it would seem to me that either your hrt is having new side effects or something else is off with your hormones, Combined with an increase in anxiety and depression I would say you definatley need some blood work, are you up to date on your mamograms??

OK, so I went to the doctor because I initially had discharge (lasted a day or two) and itching (alot of itching) and a few small bumps on my labia mostly and vaginal area. The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working.
