Avatar n tn Check that out and it will explain all the different kinds of Ovarian cysts. Most of the time Ovarian cysts will just disappear on their own. But.. you need a Dr. to see what's really going on in there. They may give you a transvaginal ultrasound which is not painful.. a little uncomfy but if you've been having pap smears, not much worse. . Now, Monday, call a good Gynecologist, explain that you need an exam ( you should have one every year anyway) and take it from there.
Avatar f tn Cysts are so very, very common in younger women. If you check the top right of this page at "Health Pages" you will see a lot of information about cysts. They many times, are just part of the cycle and will resolve themselves on their own. I don't know how they could be so sure it was a cyst without another ultrasound. She needs to make another appointment and have another ultrasound if she's in that much pain. Was that a transvaginal ultrasound?
Avatar f tn I am 48 years old and have been hosptialized and discharged tonight and test show a cyst on my right ovary. I am in very bad pain and spotting. I have to find a gyn. I had a internal ultral sound and a contrast ct scan on my abdomin and other female organs are good.
Avatar n tn 99% of ovarian cysts, masses, and tumors are benign. The symptoms for cancer are the same for benign cysts, too.
1650131 tn?1301528386 called me with the results they were more concerned with a large mass they saw on my right ovary, and said before they done anythingelse with my back,ot SI Joint I needed to get this took care of. Why is one doctor telling me 6 months ago that he thought I had a cyst and now a dr.
Avatar n tn Nope ovarian cysts don't cause back pain. I had ovarian cysts and most of my pain was where the ovaries were.
Avatar f tn Since last month, when on my period i have extreme pain on my right side, feels like someone is sqeezing my ovary. I am now experiencing the same feeling, along with lower back pain that receeds down my thigh. Im having very heavy bleeding ( changing about every hr. to hr. & 1/2) and clots the size of nickels to quarters. Im experiencing nausea, and the past two months having intercoarse is extremely painful, but usually the pain is only on the right side.
Avatar f tn Do they intend to remove it? Some ovarian cysts resolve on their own and others do not, and need to be removed. I don't think they would use the language they did if they thought it was cancer. Why didn't they give you an abdominal MRI? It is the gold standard for visualizing soft-tissue situations in the body. Anyway, what does the doctor propose to do?
805021 tn?1238113502 Hi I am 37 yrs old and just diagnosed with a right ovarian cyst. I have not yet gotten the ultrasound report from my doc, so I do not yet have all the particulars like size or type. This is the first such experience with anything going weird about my health and I am terrified. I just wanted to come somewhere where other women are experiencing the same thing.
Avatar m tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own and a simple ovarian cyst less than 6 cm goes away on its own usually by 12 months. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I am 62 years of age and I received results form a transvaginal ultrasound which showed a 8 millimeter cyst on my right ovary (My left ovary was removed in 1999 when another benign cyst was found). I have no symptoms, but was getting my yearly female exam and I told the doctor about the previous ovarian surgery and she knew I was a worrier, so she ordered the TU so I would not worry.
Avatar n tn they are guessing that the pain and fluid suggests a cyst burst. Ovarian Cysts are very common and often do come and go and even burst depending on your menstrual cycle. Try really hard not to worry....as far as I know, in order to have OvCa you have to have tumors and masses, most likely was not seen in your reports....see a GYN and take it from there. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I had u/s that revealed several solid cysts on my right ovary, ca 125 was 61, endometrial thickness was 13mm, had an endometrial biopsy that was beign(which means nothing to me). The GYN still wants me to come back to talk to me, about what I don't know. She said the cysts will not go away on their own and that I am in the worrisome catagory for her! She said she can't rule out ovarian cancer!
Avatar f tn Try and remember that most ovarian cysts are benign - something like 90%+. You are doing the right thing in seeing your gyn. I would suggest you make a list of questions to ask. Has he/she done a CA125 test? How large is the cyst? What does he/she recommend and why? If there is any thought that it might be malignant based on a variety of factors (CA125, cell shape, etc) then please ask to be referred to a gyn/oncologist.
Avatar f tn t match the pain symptoms for colitis and thought the pain was more like gynelogical issues so sent me off for a CT Scan which showed up they I have bilateral complex ovarian cysts, the right being 5.7 x 4.2 cm and the left 3.9 x 3.6 cm. The specialists office rang me to go back and see them to discuss the results of my CT Scan which I had to wait 2 weeks for to see him.

Avatar n tn Down the road could consider a d and c or ablation, but for right now follow up in 3 months. Then it dawned on me this weekend that my pain is on the right and my cyst is on the left. My cramps are mild just annoying take a few Advil here and there. Getting my period next week. Calling my dr today, to find out about the pain on the right but cyst on the left. I would like to try an all natural way. The joys of being a women.
Avatar n tn The test found Right ovary shows a cyst with internal echoes measuring 57x52x41 mm in size. (Complex right ovary cyst). I would like to know that, whether this is harmful? And what should i do?
Avatar n tn I have recently had a lot of problems getting pregnant due to ovarian cysts. I have cut out all caffeine, gone on a diet, begun exercising, but nothing is working to get rid of them. I have cysts in my liver as well. I'm just wondering if the Prilosec has anything to do with the cysts. This discussion is related to Acid Reflux, large cyst on right kidney, small cysts on right testicle.
Avatar n tn Dear all, I am now getting pain on my upper right abdomen. It is not far up but it falls on the same line as my navel and the pain comes only when I try to move my body - anything like bending, twisting turning etc. and I also can't exert in the loo. Why is this happening? Is it because of my 4.5 cm ovarian cyst? Ovaries are far below from the spot where I am hurting. Please advise.
Avatar f tn During these past two weeks I have felt (only on two occasions) a sharp pain on my right side perhaps from my right ovary. I think I am ovulating right now, since I am having a lot of thick mucusy vaginal discharge, but am very concerned about the sharp pain I got on the right side. When I put pressure on it, it is sore, unlike my left side. What could this be?
Avatar n tn This would probably be better answered on the ovarian cyst forum. Most cysts and masses are benign, Only about 12 % are ovca. If in doubt, ask to be referred to a gyn/ocologist.
564029 tn?1216423219 There are different types of cysts, you can go to the link on the top of this page on the right that says health forum, and there is a list for all types of ovarian cysts. Did your dr. tell you what kind of cyst you have? Have you had a TV/US? During your reproductive years it is very common to get functional ovarian cysts that can disappear after a few menstrual cycles. Could it be your doctor is doing a watchful waiting to see if they go away? How long have you had the cyst?
952660 tn?1258680874 I have been having severe off and on lower right abdomen and lower right back pain for a week or so, it is getting worse, and recently has been waking me up. I am extremely tired, and have a bad headache. Some pain when urinating for three days, and pain after eating. I have had a very slight or no fever the entire time. I lost my insurance a few months ago, and can't afford a lot of tests. My stomach seems quite bloated also, I have a family history of ovarian cancer, it scares me.
