Avatar f tn Has anyone downloaded the book "Ovarian Cysts No More" and used the program? Is it a scam or is it worth trying? I have a very large cyst and my appointment with the surgeon is still two weeks away. I am desperate to do anything in the meantime that could help shrink this cyst.
Avatar f tn I am not familiar with that book or any books about ovarian cysts. Let us know if you try any of the recommended treatments and if they work for you. Best of luck!
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts are extremely common - so do not worry. However, they can also be extremely painful and can grow extremely large. Each month, when a woman ovulates, small follicles form on the outer part of the ovary. These follicles look like little marbles almost through an ultrasound. Now, during your period - these follicles are, keyword here 'supposed' to break free with the lining of your period but for some women, they do not.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Many of the symptoms you list are applicable to both conditions. I had bilateral ovarian masses and I had every symptom you list above and more. I also had pelvic pain, back pain, irregular periods to name a few. My ovaries were filled with hemorrhagic cysts, serous cysts, endometriomas and a large mucinous cystadenoma. Just a downright mess all around. How are you doing?
Avatar f tn What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts and tumors? Often, ovarian cysts don't cause any symptoms. You may not realize you have one until you visit your health care provider for a routine pelvic exam. Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. If you have any of the symptoms below, it's important to have them checked out. That's because they can also be symptoms of ovarian tumors. Ovarian cancer often spreads before it is detected.
Avatar f tn I have a friend who had two episodes of cysts with surgery and then nothing more and went on to have two successful pregnancies.
501229 tn?1210133631 “Even for large cysts - those that are more than 3 inches (similar size to my cyst) in diameter - normal ovarian tissue can almost always be saved. Remember that the ovaries contain hundreds of thousands of eggs, so that the loss of a small number should not make a difference in your fertility, your hormone levels or the age at which your menopause will begin.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from Ovarian Cysts since I was 16 years old and I am 32 now. I had an oophorectomy at age 16 of the right side. I have two beautiful children but cannot get an acceptable quality of life because of these no warning episodes. Do you know of a natural remedy that I can use to eliminate and prevent future cysts from forming? My frequency is about 2 to 3 times a year.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. I am sorry you are dealing with this. The recent heavy period could possibly have been your body making up for the lighter ones. But it could also be related to the pelvic pain you've been having. With your history of ovarian cysts, it is possible you have another one. Thankfully, they usually go away on their own in 2 to 3 cycles. If the pain continues it would be a good idea to see a doctor.
Avatar n tn Been experiencing low back pain, discomfort in lower abdomen, similar to period pain although I have no womb, and also need to pass urine more frequently. Is it possible ovarian cancer could be the problem?
1667689 tn?1303337973 Many of these things are intermitten and not constant so I have not been too worried. They are becoming more frequent, I am still assuming that this is just an ovarian cyst but just don't know how urgent it is for me to get it checked out. Currently, I have no health insurance which makes the matter a little more difficult. I am looking into some of the clinics that take patients with no insurance in my area.
Avatar f tn It's hard to believe that cysts can cause that much pain and discomfort, huh? Well, unfortunately for us, they can. At least you already know that they're just regular fluid filled cysts and still rather small. You need to talk to your doctor to see what medication is right to help shrink them. He/she is going to have to monitor them and schedule for an ultrasound every so often to see if they are in fact shrinking or growing.

483733 tn?1326798446 m seeing a lot of new forum members posting the same questions on both the Ovarian Cancer and Ovarian Cysts forums. There is no need to do this. Just post on the Ovarian Cyst forum as you are going through your testing and diagnosis, etc. and then on the Ovarian Cancer forum only if, God forbid, you not one of the 95% benign club. Many of the members on this forum and many on the Ovarian Canacer forum visit both and will ensure your questions will be addressed.

1550253 tn?1359048669 I've always had menstrual issues...it comes with the territory of having PCOS and hypothyroidism. But I am on birth control to regulate my periods...but even then, my periods are still a bit wacky, it seems. Like, right now...I was supposed to have my period this week...but it hasn't shown up yet at all and I'm starting my new pack today. But that happens often...where my period won't show up until a couple days into the new pack.

1034241 tn?1252721169 I am waiting on results of CA125 but the dr thinks it is just a simple cyst and if the CA125 is negative just watch it. My concerns are the fact that I have an ovarian cyst with no ovary. And that I am being tested for ovarian cancer. HOW CAN THESE THINGS HAPPEN after a Hysterectomy? ANY IDEAS LADIES?????????????? I am waiting.........
Avatar f tn It talks about Reflux Menstruation. I have ovarian cysts that rupture every month, and endo. The endo was either caused from my cysts rupturing or when i had my c-section. If u can find the book, i highly recommend getting it and reading it. It has helped me understand the Endo alot.
Avatar f tn HI, Even though you may not want any more children, you are too young for a hysterectomy. The bleeding can be stopped with help of haemostatic medicines and with use of hormones like progestins. Also a D&C may sometimes be necessary to stop the bleeding. The ovarian cysts need further evaluation regarding their size and nature. Many of the cysts in young women respond to birth control pills or regress spontaneously. Hence it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
Avatar f tn I am 58, post menopause. Have a 3.5 X 3.2 X 3.3 cm complex septated ovarian cyst on left ovary. It was first detected about 5 years ago and has grown just a little bit since then. My doctor wants to remove the ovary - and would like to remove the right ovary as well. I would like to avoid surgery if at all possible due to the fact that my job is not the kind of job I can be away from for two weeks recovery time.
Avatar f tn The CTscan should atleast help show what kind of cysts you are dealing with. The waiting is SO HARD. Not all cysts require surgery but surgery is needed for a proper diagnosis if the Dr is concerned about what they see. Did they do a CA125 test? The test isn't always the best indicator but can give the Dr an idea of what they may be dealing with. It's hard to relax and not worry but try to distract yourself and I hope you get answers soon!
