Avatar f tn I have had some back pain in the past and recently had some lower back pains. Now my back keeps popping (never had this before), it doesn't really hurt when it pops but very uncomfortable. Sometimes I'm feeling a pain between my stomach and abdomen area.
Avatar m tn 54yr old female, have had this chronic lower back pain that radiates to hip area.I do have arthritis in lower back and hip,but the meds for it does nothing.I stretch every night before bed and every morning before getting out to no avail.I look like I'm 90 yrs old after a pain full ten minutes of trying to get out of bed.I have to inhale to stand up straight(omg the pain) but once I pee and get into kitchen for coffee I'm fine. The only doctor I haven't seen is a nerve doctor.
Avatar m tn My question is whether anyone can tell me if osteoarthritis in the lower spine can cause grabbing, debilitating pain that causes the patient to cry out it is so severe. These pains act like pinched nerves, but MRS and Neurological testing shows no nerve damage from the spine. The regular arthritis pain increases gradually when the patient is walking and prevents walking altogether after about 15 yards. The grabbing pain is additional to the regular pain. The only relief for the pain is sitting.
1282316 tn?1279565682 I have been recently having severe lower leg pain in my right leg, feels like the bone is broken but I know its not. My question is does Osteoarthritis cause this much pain?
Avatar f tn I also suffer from Lumbar Buldging disks, bone spurs, and osteoarthritis of the lower back, hip and knees. The Epidural Lumber Steroid Injections have greatly reduced back and hip pain. My feet still burn almost all the time. It is painful and so far no one has been able to answer the question as to why. All I hear from physicians is "This makes no sense". I will keep you posted if I discover anything that helps this problem.

Avatar m tn Some degree of osteoarthritis is expected with age which can worsen post-menopause, being overweight, improper posture, lack of physical exercise/ muscle strength, chronic trauma, diabetes etc., which causes degeneration of the joint and associated inflammation that causes pain. The acute injury is unlikely to be related to it. It is not a completely treatable condition, though it can be partially managed.
1388123 tn?1283692154 I have had 2 back surgeries because my orthopedic Dr always claims that its not my hips, but the pain in my lower back, SI joints, hips & down my leg are hurting so bad. The only difference between now & before my other spine surgeries is that now the pain is also in my mid back.. I am going in for another MRI today & the thought of another spine surgery sickens me. How many can a person have to finally stop the problems?
Avatar n tn What are some causes for lower back spasms with no pain. It only seems to happen when I am relaxed and on my lower left side of my back.
1378884 tn?1315505845 It can be injected directly into a joint to ease pain and swelling, given in an intramuscular injection or taken orally to quiet an overall RA flare-up, inhaled to help asthma and COPD patients breathe better, and more. My mom takes injections in her lower back to temporarily ease pain. My guess is you have a low back injury that is irritating the sciatic nerve, which travels down the back of your hip and down your leg.
Avatar f tn What would cause an 18 month old lower back pain? she has not fell or hit it on anything. Thank you!
1981214 tn?1327949140 This happens every now and again, and it happens when I first lie down in bed I get an uncomfortable pain inside my lower back, it usually goes after a few minutes of me stretching my back, then I wake up in the morning and its back and sometimes occurs also in the front of my abdomen in the morning too.
Avatar m tn My sister, 61 years old, has scoliosis and severe osteoarthritis in her lower back. She endures debilitating pain. Since she is an alcoholic, she is not a candidate for traditional pain killers or opioids. 1. Would Baclofen be a possible treatment for managing her pain? 2. Is it possible that Baclofen might have a secondary, off-label, benefit of being a possible treatment for the alcoholism?

Avatar f tn It is the spine and the discs that are either inflamed or not, or nerves that are pinched or not, that causes sciatica, a pain that goes from the lower back or buttocks down the nerves in the legs.
Avatar f tn I have osteoarthritis in my back and hips. The physiotherapist has given me exercises to help with the pain. Best thing is to keep active, if you can. Hopefully the ortho will help, and a rheumatologist, like I have seen, will help you cope with the arthritis.
503444 tn?1210341950 I suffer from lower back pain occassionally and I was trying to find out if it was kidney related. However, I noticed that after drinking plenty of water it goes away. I do not feel pain sitting down but it is mostly when I try to get up that I can not not get my back straight quickly. I came to conclude that some allergy to some foods causes the tendons or ligaments to stiffen up causing disconfort. Tolerance to some foods may be limited and the symptons can come in different forms.
Avatar m tn For example, had you have known that the heavy wallet you kept for the past 30 years in your right rear pocket couple with driving an automobile with the seat all the way back, plus adding in an extra 20 pounds around the waste is the real problem not the pain in your back. The wallet causing you to sit off center and the driving with your legs straight out forces you to pull on your lower back instead of pulling the seat closer using more of your knees than back might show you some relief.
Avatar n tn I have had lower back pain for around 10 years. At least once a year I have what I call an episode, which simply means the back pain, worsens. The strange thing is when it does get worse the pain always radiates up my back not down. In 10 years I have had 2 MRIs on my lower back and they always find nothing. I am a very active person stretching everyday (because of my lower back) and using an elliptical machine for 30min/ 3 times a week for 6 yrs around 480 calories each time.
Avatar m tn I have osteoarthritis all down my back and I have spinal stenosis because of it.
1422848 tn?1282581099 s over the last couple years about it, and none have figured it out. My lower back/tailbone area is constantly in pain on the right side only. I get shooting pain from my lower back to my butt. It feels like there's 2 hooks hooked together and don't come apart. The ONLY time it feels better, even taking lortabs or percocet, is when I lay flat and shift my hips from side to side and I pop my back. Done a little research and was wondering if maybe it could be the S.I. Joint????
