Unfortunately my panic attacks, make my chest and arms tense up, and during the day my chest almost consistently hurts, sharp and dull pains in the middle and left part of my chest, and in my spine, also running down into my elbows and fingers. sometimes my fingers will go numb, sometimes the chest pain turns into a 1 or 3 quick shocks and then go away. I've seen alot of the doctor lately and they usually just tell my i'm fine, any idea what could be causing this or if its need for concern.

The past few days I've experienced nerve pain all throughout my body more specifically in my legs and arms, muscle spasms, no appetite, a few dry coughs, diarrhea, I've been really weak and fatigued also, I had an ER visit last night and all they did was give me Ativan to calm me down, then I felt normal for a few hours. Does that mean all of this could be anxiety related? Or could these be signs of HIV?
(For example, both omeprazole and Voltaren interferred with my periods.) I went back on the Sinequan and Inderal and the tremors immediately started to quiet down. Now, only four days into the therapy, they have almost stopped. Most of you will NOT be as sensitive to medication as I am and this may not be the problem for all of you or the solution. My point is--don't let ANYONE tell you it's psychosomatic if you, yourself, know it isn't!
i feel dizzy for days before, then out of nowhere my whole body tenses up and burns and feels like pins and needles. i feel detached from reality and really scared that i'm dying. they are horribly painful. i've had a ct scan, mri, extensive epileptic workups, heart checked out. hormones tested. since these attacks my emotional state has declined and i have become severly depressed and detached from everything. its hard to find pleasure in anything anymore.
I went back to the doctor, and they told me it was probably GERD. I said okay, and got the prescription of omeprazole filled and began taking it. Well, 3 days into taking the omeprazole I began experiencing a light headed type feeling, not to the point where I thought I was going to pass out, but certainly to the point where I knew something wasn't right. So I went home and went to my family doctor at my hometown, where she told me it seems like a sinus infection.
I aske if it would affect my heart stuff he said no. So of course I read the inserts and the omeprazole said sides effects and palps is one of them. Then the other one he wanted me try if that didnt work is aciphex and it says it can cause nsvt.. Well geezzzzzzzzzz. So now im so freaked I wont take them. I take ativan 0.5mg twice day tried klonopin made me sick. But now its either a tums or ativan, I choose the tums today. Im so tired of this I cant have a break from myself.
Nausea intensified. Hospitalized for dehydration and weight loss for 5 days. Given Reglan, Ativan. Tests: Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Gastric Emptying Scan, Swallowed "camera pill" stool samples and blood tests - all o.k.- Diagnosis of possible motility problems, possible virus or IBS. Since discharge in mid-June. Was given a 7-week cycle of Flagyl (Treated empirically) Ended on July 10.
Diarrhea, excessive gas and bloating have subsided. Still suffering chronic nausea for 34 days.
I went from one Ativan every 4 days to 3 or 4 per day (but this was because my anxiety was intensifying imo) before my SSRI kicked in more and more peach day and I eventually dropped off the Ativan doses to zero. My first SSRI couldn't give any efect after 4 pm and everything owuld go grey and black again but the second one gave a noticeable effect in the second week. .
I took the drug by the new manufacturer for roughly 10 days before understanding that I was experiencing withdrawal and switching back to my original manufacturer. I'm on omeprazole as well, for GERD, which I understand can increase the amount of benzodiazepine in the blood.
I had went back to the er 3 days ago and the dr looked at me and told me I was clearly hyperventilating. He gave me a shot of Ativan 2mg and sent me home with a prescription of .25mg Xanax. I remember them giving the shot, and waking up at home, but nothing in between. I just remember still feeling like I haven't rested in weeks even after that shot.
Im always afraid of meds. The doc wanted me to start out with 1mg of ativan twice daily and I cut in half. So I take .05mg twice daily then he told me to bump it up to three times daily. Yes I tried the klonopin and I got a really bad gut ache and nauseua.. So I quit it. But I do know if I take a drug and know that im ok will take it if it works. Its just getting me to take it.

People are now tellin me it's in my head and I know that it's not possible. I have even taken ativan when i feel really sick and I still feel the same. Now i do know I have some sort of acid reflux because I get heart burn constantly and it used to wake me up in the middle of the night all the time until I started sleeping with 3 to 4 pillows a night propped up. I have tried previcid, tums, mylanta, and I am still nautious.
It just strated outta the blue I went to take a deep breath and i couldnt get that last bit of hair to satisfy the breath and this whole vicious cycle started. After that for about 2 years i was constantly taking deep breaths and not able to get a satisfied breath. I WAS CONSTANTLY YAWNING>SIGNING AND TAKIN UNSATISFIED DEEP BREATH ALL DAY LONG. I had reached the point when i was staying home in my bed just hoping i would die so it would stop. After 2 years or so it seemed to just go away.
Hi, I have just been reading all of your posts and I just want to tell you that I throught the same thing about 5 years ago. I smoked marijuana for the 1st time in 3 years and I had a SEVERE anxiety attack. My pulse jumped to 200 BPM, I was lightheaded, nauseous...I thought I was going to die and no one would take me to the hospital since I had drugs in my system. Well this feeling lasted for months.....not the high pulse rate but the feeling that I was going to die.
Good to hear there are people like me. I've had 4 stents and an angioplasty on one of the stents. The last stent was placed over a year ago and I still have chest pains. I've had two more angiograms due to the pain and the stents were fine. The Dr. chalked it up to "anxiety". I don't agree with this, but what can I do. I take "Ativan" the anxiety drug sometimes when I feel pain and I lay down too.
