Avatar m tn Dear Doctor, I have a few very specific STD transmission questions. Almost 11 days ago I went to a strip club and had several "lap dances" and to many beers. In one of the lap dances I fingered the clitoris-vagina of the dancer. I cannot remember whether I fairly quickly inadvertently touched my eye or not or anywhere else, however I did touch my penis when urinating later in the evening in the restroom. Nothing else transpired.
Avatar m tn i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?
Avatar m tn Hi forum, Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.
Avatar m tn I am blind in my right eye and although I suffer from a slipped cataract lens in my left eye which causes some problems with light catching the top of the lens, the vision in that eye nevertheless is 20/20. Recently I was prescribed an ear drop ofloxacin which I understand is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which can cause double vision. After using the drug for 10 days I have developed double vision in my good eye which is very worrying.
Avatar n tn then 2 years later i had a smilar sexual contact, after years of only sex with my wife, and it started again, the same way, only i was in a different city and my urologist, after negative urine screens for chlamydia and gonnorhea tried a brief course of antibiotics (ofloxacin) and said i just need to live with it as it is not worth trying to treat it.
Avatar f tn s more than a month now my vision is still blurred and pupil is still extremely dilated. My vision was blurry even before I used atropine and Maxidrol eye ointment. Ofloxacin was the eye drop I was using before atropine. Doctor told me that I should have my vision back in two weeks and asked me to stop using atropine and prescribed hypromellose. My vision has improved but distant still looks blurry. What's my problem?
Avatar m tn Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours. So far, the irritation when I'm urinating and the tingling has subsided significantly. My question is, shall I still continue taking the ofloxacin until the 7th or 10th day from the day I started taking it?
Avatar m tn For the cataract surgery, it is every 2 hours!!! Eye drops, eye drops and more eye drops. Then more eye drops for the dry eye that the other drops cause. On and on. No end.
Avatar m tn Long term steroid eye use like long term steroid use by pill form makes side effects almost inevitable. In the eye it includes cataracts, glaucoma and increased risk of fungus infections.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?
Avatar n tn s worth of Ofloxacin oral to help fight what was perceived to be chronic prostatitis. Part of me thinks that taking so much of that antibiotic, perhaps unnecessarily, has led to a persistent rash on my forehead. The rash looks a bit like acne - small, red bumps, with slight blackheads - but looks scaly, dry, and really just like a number of small, spread out red bumps.
469349 tn?1217606941 I have been experiencing pink eye since Sunday, not the regular pink eye...there is no discharge from the eye, the left eye, where all the problem is, gets really pink and my vision gets cloudy, especially when my pain starts. Im schedule to have an angiogram this coming Wednesday, and Im hoping I can wait til there. If someone can let me know if this has to do with the fistula and what should I do, please comment.
Avatar f tn Hello Doctor my son is 2.7 years old and two months ago he had pink eye and I still have the ofloaxcin solution that doesn't expire until 08/13.
539780 tn?1213943976 I had acute bronchidis, for the next two weeks I had walking pnemonia, then I had strep throat. Now Im much better, but I woke up this morning and my eye is pink, and kind of sore. Can it be Pink Eye? Avatar n tn My son, 3, and daughter, 2 in April, both have what I think is Pink Eye. We have not seen our Ped., since its Sunday, but they did call in an eye drop. My question is, how long is the gestation period, just so I can warn who we've been around. Also, whats the best car for the eyes. Should I leave the gunk on the eyes (since it's a fighting battle) or wash it all off. Should I take Lysol to everything?
Avatar m tn She said I had the bacterial type of pink eye and gave me a prescription for Tobramycin. I used it for seven days and had about 50% improvement, but the infectipon was still present. I went back yesterday and she put me on three days of prednisone --6 pill therapy and a new prescrition for Tobramycin for six more days. If this doesn't work--what are my options? I have read that Tobramycin can cause kidney damage. Are their other drugs to use?
Avatar n tn I would discard all make-up that touched the eye...such as mascara, eye liner, eye shadow...thats what I do everytime my eye flares up, well the eye liner, I just sharpen down, and I use new brushes for the eye shadow, just incase the bacteria got into the make up...to prevent further contamination.
Avatar f tn The next day, my eyes were almost the same except with added infections of drainage and unbelievable swelling to the extent that my eyesight was blurry and almost unbearable. I went to a physician and was prescribed some eye drops for pink eye but it has already been about four and a half days and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now.
