Avatar m tn Dear Doctor, I have a few very specific STD transmission questions. Almost 11 days ago I went to a strip club and had several "lap dances" and to many beers. In one of the lap dances I fingered the clitoris-vagina of the dancer. I cannot remember whether I fairly quickly inadvertently touched my eye or not or anywhere else, however I did touch my penis when urinating later in the evening in the restroom. Nothing else transpired.
Avatar m tn constant redness in left eye, the sun burns my eye, the wind makes my eyes get teared up, I sometimes get spasms in my eyes (like a twitching sensation). Im hoping this is nothing to serious, but you guys be the judge.
Avatar m tn Hi forum, Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.
Avatar m tn For the cataract surgery, it is every 2 hours!!! Eye drops, eye drops and more eye drops. Then more eye drops for the dry eye that the other drops cause. On and on. No end.
Avatar f tn My eye is killing me right now and I am going to the doctor 1st thing in the morning :-(
Avatar f tn This is my personal opinion and its that family MDs should not put people on steroid eye drops because they can't examine the eye with a biomicroscope (slit lamp) or take the intraocular pressure and are generally unaware of conditions that contraindicate using steroid like H. Simplex. Plus your optometrist already used "anti-inflammatory" which usually means steroids.
Avatar f tn My 9 month old had pink eye about 2 weeks ago. Her pediatrician gave her moxeza to treat it and it cleared up quickly. I did continue the medicine for 7 days as directed by her doctor. This past Thursday I woke up to swollen, itchy, red watery eyes. I assumed that I got pink eye from her so I started to take her medicine. My eyes are slowly getting better. They are no longer itchy and I do not have anymore discharge. However, they are still red and under my eyes look swollen.
Avatar f tn it is best to be seen by a doctor, but Simialson makes pink eye relief eye drops, I have pink eye a lot, and they work sometimes, sometimes they work just enough to give me a little relief until I can see the doctor....but with any kind of eye problems its best to see a doctor..I am a walking testimony..I kept getting what I thought was pinkeye, so I kept being treated for pinkeye.
Avatar f tn I went to a physician and was given a prescription of eye drops for pink eye. It has already been about four and a half days that I have been taking them and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now. With my finals this week, I am worried that I may be kicked out of school because of my eyes and I may miss my finals.
Avatar m tn I just had eye surgery. Doctor prescribed 3 different eye drop medicines for a week. Can anyone tell me what each are for? A friend told me some were dangerous to my eye? Is this true?
Avatar n tn He has had it once in the past and the doctor prescribed him antibiotic eye drops, this time however he has prescribed just regular over the counter eye drops. Will his pink eye go away with just the regular drops or will he eventually need the other drops? He is also on an antibiotic for an ear infection, not sure if this is why he wasn't prescribed the antibiotic eye drops. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Don´t know if this is relevant but today I had fever (39 C in ear) and rather sore throat. Started using drops in right eye as well according to doctors indications because it is also getting red.
Avatar n tn After two weeks I went to the doctors and they told me I had bacterial pink eye and gave me eye drops (3 drops a day for 7 days). It's been over a week since the eye drops and still my eyes are very wet (but don't really drip) and water seems to just build up for some reason. Sometimes theres a lot of liquid in my eye to the point that things look blurry. I went back to the doctor today and now he has me trying allergy eye drops. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn The next day, my eyes were almost the same except with added infections of drainage and unbelievable swelling to the extent that my eyesight was blurry and almost unbearable. I went to a physician and was prescribed some eye drops for pink eye but it has already been about four and a half days and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now.
Avatar n tn My eyes also begin burning in the evenings I took the eye drops for pink eye and made sure to change out all makeup and through away the contaminated contacts. I don't know if the pink eye has anything to do with my current problems or if it is just a coincidence. Can pink eye result in these problems? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn So I received unprotected oral sex and protected sex about 9 days ago and I have no symptoms until this morning when I had woken up to pink eye. I didn't think anything of it and went to the doctor to get medication but after googling around I learned that pink eye is also a symptom of std's. So my question is how long after sexual contract would I contract pink eye of it is from an std? I have no other symptoms either. No discharge or pain when peeing.
Avatar f tn I had pink eye about 4 weeks ago and was given eye drops to use Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP. Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
93654 tn?1247499334 re not approved for use in the eye. I should have read the drug information before using them, but I assumed they were eye drops. Could they cause any problems/damage to my eyes? Should I be concerned or follow-up with my eye doctor?
Avatar n tn It sounds like he has conjunctivitas, it is infectious, so if you have other children or yourself you may get it, some call it 'pink eye' I am uncertain if you can get drops OTC maybe ask the druggist I do know that your Doctor will prescribe possible anti biotic drops.
Avatar f tn There are eye drops you can get for pink eye that's made by Polyaporin I think. Those might help a little bit.
12270954 tn?1424407445 I don’t know if his eye will heal and be normal or if I’ll have to give him eye drops for the rest of his life, much less, which eye drops do I give him?! (tear production drops, artificial tears, Tacrolimus, Genteal, I-Drops, Collidad Silver) I don’t know if the Cyclosporine will help produce tears or if it will give him cancer. I don’t know if he will go blind or they will want to take his eye out! I know one thing for sure, the saliva duct surgery sounds awful! Sorry for going on and on.
Avatar f tn I have pink eye too.. all they gave is eye drops and a cream.. but I'm sure if you go to a local drug store, you can find a eye drop specifically for pink eye. Pink eye usually just goes away on its own. I'm 17weeks by the way and have had it several times due to my contacts. I usually ride it out with eye drops and a proper cleaning on the infected eye. I also heard a cold washcloth over the eye helps with the pain.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor at urgent care and was prescribed eye drops, they said i had severe pink eye. Its only in my right eye. The pink eye is pretty much gone but i am left with a lazy eye and i have a pain that feels like its behind my eye. Not sure if it was really pink eye or if theres any other possible things it could be ?
Avatar f tn The doctor will probably just call in another prescription for you for the antibiotic eye drops.
1503643 tn?1311518238 I was recently exposed to pink eye from my nephew. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. I do not have any symptoms and am practicing standard precautions. Do I need to worry about this? I am staying at his home for 3 1/2 more weeks while taking a class 12 hours away from my home. Should I stay somewhere else until he is cleared up?
Avatar n tn On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
Avatar f tn Perhaps you have a very bad allergy or a non-bacterial infection (fungus infections actually get worse on antibiotics). But if you are in that much pain, I still would try to see an eye specialist before Monday.
Avatar n tn I would discard all make-up that touched the eye...such as mascara, eye liner, eye shadow...thats what I do everytime my eye flares up, well the eye liner, I just sharpen down, and I use new brushes for the eye shadow, just incase the bacteria got into the make up...to prevent further contamination.
