She prescribe me a ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, 0.3% and Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment USP, 0.5%(sterile) apply ointment 1 times a day to use,follow up with her everyday. I used both prescription for 5 days, but then I switch to another ophthalmology office, he said change medication don't used the medication that previous Dr prescript to me. Start using Tobramycin and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Suspension USP, 0.3%/0.
Prednisolone Acetate, and 2: Ofloxacin. I am taking these several times a day for 6 weeks..for each eye.
I was also diagnosed with glaucoma and am taking 2 eye drops for life..to reduce the pressure in my eyes. They are 1: Dorzolamide HCl/Timolol Maleate and 2: Latanoprost . These are all Ophthalmic solutions.
Can the cataract surgery itself, or, the eye drop drugs I am taking as listed above, cause dry eye?..and if so, what would you recommend I take, if anything, to prevent this. Thanks.

For my inital treatment, while waiting for my first blood testresults, i was prescribed with Azithomycin (1mg single dose), Doxycline (7 days), Ofloxacin (7 days) and Rocephine. When the blood results came back 2 weeks later, it confirmed i had chamydia. Thereafter, my doctor prescribed for me another week of doxycline and 2 months of ofloxacin.

Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours. So far, the irritation when I'm urinating and the tingling has subsided significantly. My question is, shall I still continue taking the ofloxacin until the 7th or 10th day from the day I started taking it?
I had pink eye about 4 weeks ago and was given eye drops to use Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP. Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
You could try as wet warm compress on your eye or try rinsing with saline solution, the cold could have gone into your eye..

On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. I am so depressed about my cataract surgery in November 28th of 2012. I now cannot see far or near and the worst thing I now see ghost images. My eye doctor has put me on Pilocarpine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution twice a day for two week's then come back in for another check up. She said it is because I have a lot of astigmatism in my right eye and it often affect's the outcome of surgery. Do I have to live with this problem for the rest of my life?

Part of me thinks that taking so much of that antibiotic, perhaps unnecessarily, has led to a persistent rash on my forehead. The rash looks a bit like acne - small, red bumps, with slight blackheads - but looks scaly, dry, and really just like a number of small, spread out red bumps.
When I consume antibiotics (like levooflaxin, ofloxacin), antiamoebics (ornidazole, metronidazole), I remain fine for the time period I consume the medicines. After end of treatment, Issues re-appear again. This is now happening very frequently (once every 2 weeks).
I do not smoke, drink or use any other obnoxious drug.
The drops we were given are Atropine Sulfate Ophthalmic Solution 1%. If her eyes will be dilated this long or longer with one drop, how are we to give them to her once a day for 5 days? I am guesing you cannot give them when the eye is still dilated right?? I called her eye doctor yesterday, and they said it was ok, and not to worry, but I am. 5 yrs started complaining of stomach pain and diarrhea four days back when the doctor prescribed ofloxacin and metronidazole suspension which had some effect in the first two days but worsened later.
