Avatar m tn Prednisolone Acetate, and 2: Ofloxacin. I am taking these several times a day for 6 weeks..for each eye. I was also diagnosed with glaucoma and am taking 2 eye drops for life..to reduce the pressure in my eyes. They are 1: Dorzolamide HCl/Timolol Maleate and 2: Latanoprost . These are all Ophthalmic solutions. Can the cataract surgery itself, or, the eye drop drugs I am taking as listed above, cause dry eye?..and if so, what would you recommend I take, if anything, to prevent this. Thanks.
Avatar f tn At that time, IOP was possible high (there was a sensation of tear, but the eye was dry), since I just finished using Vigadexa 5 days ago with dexamethasone, which often causes ophthalmic hypertension (total duration of admission is 3 weeks, including preoperative, surgical and postoperative period).

Avatar n tn I've noticed since I got my dog from the humane society that some days his eyes are more red than others, specifically his left eye and almost every morning he has discharge coming from both eyes. I recently took him to the vet for this problem and he was diagnosed with follicular hyperplasia which is apparently where something gets caught under his third eye lid, irritates it and then nodules/small bumps grow underneath causing redness/discharge/discomfort.
630166 tn?1222287376 I had Lasik sugery about 4 years ago and had dry eye for a couple of years, but then that improved with the help of using Restasis. About a week ago I woke up with redness and mat in my left eye. My first thought was I had the pink eye. I went to my doctor and he gave me Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution. That didn't help, so then he gave me Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution.
Avatar m tn In OCT examination there was small cystic spaces and I was advised 20mg Triamcolone DPST Initially there was relief and I consulted again I was advised to use Acular (Ketorolac Tromethamine ophthalmic solution) . . Now I met the same problem. Which ophthalmic solution is best for relief?
Avatar n tn For my inital treatment, while waiting for my first blood testresults, i was prescribed with Azithomycin (1mg single dose), Doxycline (7 days), Ofloxacin (7 days) and Rocephine. When the blood results came back 2 weeks later, it confirmed i had chamydia. Thereafter, my doctor prescribed for me another week of doxycline and 2 months of ofloxacin. During a follow up visit, 3 weeks ago, i did a blood test and the results was equivocal or uncommital.
Avatar f tn Now after that i was given Tobramycin and dexamethasone opthalmic solution to continue for 1 week. But after stopping that med my eye is becoming red and when i look in the light,it hurts. Is anything wrong?
Avatar m tn I got severe stomach pain on jan 24 and next day the scanning result is that i got 2 small calculi in right kidney and hydronephrosis of left kidney with uretric caliculas. i was prescribed kmac syrup(potassium citrate & magnesium citrate oral solution), brakke (ofloxacin and ornidazole) tablets , hifenac spas(aceclofenac and drotaverine hydrochloride tablets) taking which i suffered constipation severely then i guessed may be the side effects of above drugs. i took them day after day.
Avatar n tn OK, help. I'm 45, doc verified post-menopausal (yes, very very early) and the last couple of years I have significant darkening of my sclera (whites of my eyes). I have had hypothyroidism since I was about 20 and I take levothyroxine. I had my doc run a full blood / urine panel to ensure it wasn't thyroid/kidney/liver related (nope). I went to my Opthomologist and he said he agreed they were dark but could see nothing medically wrong with my eyes.
Avatar m tn I consulted doctor he told I don’t have eye sight and he given “Tears Naturale, lubricant eye drops, Alcon” (Hypromellose, Ophthalmic solution ). But still I am facing same problem please advice me.

Avatar m tn After having unprotected sex the head of my penis got itchy in the inside of the hole and had a very little amount of discharge. I searched the net to find the answer and the closest to my symptom is urethritis. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours.

Avatar n tn I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. About 10-12 days later I noticed a burning sensation in the tip of my penis (it felt similar to when soap gets in the urethra). The burning intensified over the next few days. It does not hurt when I urinate and no need to urinate more than normal. There is no discharge - just a slight whitish mucous visible only if I squeeze the tip. Co-worker has no symptoms.
Avatar n tn I'm currently coing through the same problem only i didn't have any pain my optimologist gave me a perscription antibiotic and told me to take a warm washcloth cover my eyes for 5 minutes then wash my eye lids out with a warm washcloth and baby magic bath. My eyelids are too sensative for the baby magic bath but the medicine realy helped and the warm washcloth feels real nice.
Avatar n tn Everything I find says not to use it in pregnancy because it can cause birth defects or abortion. At the same time, it can be used in cases where the need for the drug outweighs the risk to the fetus. It is commonly used to help the lungs develop if preterm birth is imminent. I would discuss this with your doctor until you are satisfied with your knowledge and their reasoning behind using it. Never be afraid to question a doctor. They won't think you are questioning their ability.
