Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring weight limit

nuvaring

Avatar f tn My Dr never told me and I keep forgetting to ask, but what is the weight limit you can lift in the last month? Healthy pregnancy and no complications or anything. I just have a lot of rearranging/moving stuff to do now that my dad gave me his old place and my boyfriend works 15 hr days and sleeps about the rest of the time by the time he gets home and he's on this job for the next 21 days and I'm due in less than a month so I really need to get cracking.
Avatar f tn I plan on asking next time I go in, but I was wondering if I have a weight limit on how much I can lift or if it just something people say. I read up that if you are used to lifting things then you are fine but I'm not sure. P.s. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and so far everything is going well no complications.
Avatar m tn I was just prescribed the Nuvaring and I opened the foil pouch just to see what the ring looked like, even though I don't plan on using it for a week or so. It was only outside of the pouch for a couple of minutes, and it is now stored away at room temperature. I read that opening the package before using it could make it ineffective... is this true? Can I still use the ring?
Avatar f tn Well I started the Nuvaring on the 17th of February... the first day of my period which is what the doctor told me to do. Its now the 8th of March and Im still bleeding. Very lightly, but its enough to have me wear a liner every single day. Last night I woke up feeling extremely sick. Today, this morning, I started vomiting. Could I be pregnant? Is there a chance? Its so confusing because there have been so many women who have gotten pregnant while using a birth control contraceptive.
Avatar f tn Toward the end of July I took out my Nuvaring and discontinued my use of it because of all the side affects that I have recently become aware of. I am not on any other type of BC at the moment but for the last week or more my nipples have been EXTREMELY sore..so sore that a touch makes me cringe and back away immediately. After removing the Nuvaring, I got my period from July 29th-Aug 1 so I am due to get it again in about a week.
Avatar f tn Im thinking abt getting on the nivaring. is there any weight gain or anything. Has anyone had any problems with the nuvaring since yhall neen on it... Can someone give me some information abt it... Thanks....
Avatar f tn I've had pills and nuvaring. I'm in the same boat as you. I forgot pills. I'm scared the shot will make me gain weight. I'm allergic to latex so can't use the patch. My doctor won't do IUDs for personal reasons which I agree with. My coworker got the implanon and she is allergic to it and itches like crazy and she said it really hurts. I think I'll end up going back on nuvaring. I didn't gain weight.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.
Avatar f tn I've noticed recently that my daily calorie goal has decreased by about 30 calories or so over the past two weeks. Is this supposed to happen? Is it based on my weight loss goals, my past calorie intake, my updated weight etc? I don't update my weight everyday, but since using this app I've lost about 3 or 4 pounds, and I've never exceeded my calorie budget.
Avatar f tn Hi. My name is Summer. I am 30 years old. In November 2008 I went into the hospital with pancreatitis. I knew nothing about pancreatitis before that day but that day changed my life forever. I went into the emergency room 3 times before they finally figured out what was wrong and admitted me. Once they realized the severity of my condition they said if I had waited even 24 before getting treatment I could have died. I was there for 10 days.
Avatar f tn I like the nuvaring. Didn't like the depo shot gained about In water weight took me over 18 months to loose.
468832 tn?1324348961 Depo is not even a great birth control. Many women gain A LOT of weight from depo. I recommend you go see your doctor about the issue and possibly try switching to another birth control.
5121963 tn?1363905257 Then they will stop) weight gain (but I have been controlling with a strict diet plan) mood swings, depression, hair loss...etc. I'm sick of it and it's only making me more depressed because I want to be ME again...A happy girl! So I talked to my doctor about this and he suggested NuvaRing to stop my periods. I felt like I was pressured into getting it as my doctor just saw me smile and he said "okay..I'll order that for you.
Avatar f tn LEGALLY your mother can't force you to get the shot. IT can make you gain weight, I put 50+ lbs on with it. Personally I'd suggest the Nuvaring if it's an option. I spent 3 months on it and LOVED It! The reason is Nuvaring is low dose, you won't normally put weight on with it, and it's easier than a pill and you don't have to remember it every day the same time.
Avatar f tn I've been looking into an IUD, never had the patch personally (was afraid it'd fall off or something) but I know I wouldn't recommend the implanon/nexplanon implant or Nuvaring, the implant causes crazy side effects and Nuvaring doesn't stay in for anything!
304970 tn?1331425994 Laura~ It's normal. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months AFTER Getting off the depo. I had been on Depo 3 yrs and gained 50 lbs! I gain weight on ANY kind of hormonal BC no matter what level of hormones are in it. I put on 15 lbs with Nuvaring. You will have some breakthru bleeding or even bleeding on wierd days for about 3 months until your body gets used to nuvaring. Don't worry about it.
Avatar f tn I was on the NuvaRing and i liked it
Avatar f tn I chose the nuvaring. I was told the arm implant wouldn't help regulate my periods and the pill and depo shot can help weight gain. My choice was between the IUD and nuvaring.
Avatar f tn Hi there. I am on NuvaRing, started around the beginning of March. I decided to skip my last period, which was great, and I decided if the insurance lets me get it every three weeks I might skip my periods all the time or at least pretty frequently. Then I started wondering, is there any downside to it at all? Like does anything build up in your uterus that needs to come out? Just curious, thanks.
Avatar f tn I was taking Ortho Tri Cyclen. that helped me.. then they switched me to the patch. I did not like that one at all. then they put me on the Nuvaring. I didn't like that one either because sometimes it would fall out or not fall out it would move and I could feel it and I have to go to the bathroom and fix it. so I would say Ortho Tri Cyclen. but everybody has their own opinions.
Avatar f tn I was on the Nuvaring and after many different kinds of BC it was the one I loved. It's the only time my periods were regular but the hormone levels were perfect. I didn't gain weight or get moody. And stopping and starting my period was a piece of cake, not like when I was on the pill.
Avatar n tn There are so many options out there you should speak to your gyno about your preferences
