Avatar m tn Sorry, a mistake. It is 6'10". My Fasting Sugar is between 110 & 125 and PP is between 135 & 160 . A1C value is 6.8. Yes, I am on balanced meal plan as per doctor's advice.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed met with a nutritionist so I can control it through diet. If you aren't on meds then you have to watch the carbs you eat per meal. My diet plan consists of 30 g of carbs per meal. Special k exceeds that in 1 serving. You should try to avoid breads, pastas, and watch your carb intake. Veggies and protein is alright and no limit on it. Try googling a diet to follow online and good luck.
Avatar f tn Idk how helpful you'll find it but I'd talk to a nutritionist and have them help build a healthy meal plan.
Avatar f tn Yes I have it I'm 31 weeks pregnant. It's not bad at all its just they put you on insulin you have to see a nutritionist and they give you a meal plan. It's ok I thought it was the end of the world but it's ok. It made me drop a lot of weight tho and its a good and bad thing because my experience I had to go to the hospital because me and babies heart rate was above 200 and this was after I took my insulin. Not saying it will happen to you just be careful.
Avatar f tn I have been researching that toxic levels of flouride are present in meal fillers. We are trying out life's abundance(holistic). Any suggestions on either subject?
Avatar f tn I was dx with this too best to be proactive. I looked up diet samples before I had my appt bc it was 2 weeks out before I met with a specialist. Calories will be different for you I'm sure but carbs should be the same. Make sure you eat 6 times a day each snack no more that 15 carbs. Breakfast 35 lunch dinner 45. 3 meals 3 snacks eat a protein before bed I did yogurt Greek kind but the ones with 15/17 grams carbs.
Avatar n tn t worry so much about sugars) and limit your self to 45g of carbs at meal time (breakfast lunch dinner) hopefully they have you meeting with a nutritionist to give you meal ideas and tell you what food is considered free food (food you can have unlimited) which will make it easier to cook and you won't feel like you are starving! Hope this helps some!
Avatar m tn try to get exercise everyday, atleast 30 minutes/day for 5 days a week, and try to lose some weight(both through exercise and most importantly dietary changes). A nutritionist can be great in helping figure out a diet plan that cuts calories but still remains balanced and healthy, or you can try programs like Weight watchers. Good luck, congratulations to you and your wife on your new little one, and take care of yourself.
Avatar f tn Maybe just ask to see a nutritionist and between that and your trainer set up a good meal plan and workout plan that is safe for you and go with that from here on out.
Avatar f tn I had my 1 hour glucose test today and it didn't take very long for me to get a call from the doc saying I didn't pass. I am now going to be following their meal plan all weekend and going back for the 3 hour test on Monday. Anyone have any experience with Gestational Diabetes?
Avatar f tn And they make me check my sugar 4 times a day. The nutriilogist will work with you to do a meal plan according to your schedule. Basically i had 3 meals a day what you need to watch is the carbohidrats i was allowed 45 to 60g of carbohidrats on each meal and i have two snacks between meals of 15g of carbs. The bigs NO. no soda just diet. NO juice any kind they have a lot of sugar. No cakes.
7058746 tn?1393435420 Ok so yesterday I found out I have gestational diabeties. I don't see the dietation until sometimes next week. What should I be eating or not eating? What's a typical meal/snack you would eat daily? Please help I want a healthy baby girl.
Avatar n tn If at all possible, see a nutritionist and get yourself a balanced meal plan. I found that the ONLY way I could balance my eating habits when I was first recovering was to discuss my goals with a nutritionist, develop a VERY PRESCRIBED REGIMINE and I stuck to it 100% to get myself healthy. From there, we were able to "loosen things up" a bit.
Avatar f tn I didnt have gd with my first son 4 years ago, i'm now 37 weeks with my second and have it this pregnancy.i was put on a low carb diet and have to check my sugar 4 times a day.i sometimes go over allowed carbs a little but everything level wise and baby has been good. i'm sure it depend per woman but i had to see a nutritionist to make a meal plan on how many carbs i can have each meal and snacks.
1612312 tn?1324791860 You will, by the way need to talk to your nutritionist about your exercising and your meal plan will change depending on the intensity of your workout. Both of these life changes are going to 'poke the bear', so to speak, of your eating disorder. If you really want to be successful and make some permanent healthy changes you are going to need some guidance. The last thing you want is to try to get healthy and get sick instead. Get out ahead of your eating disorder.
Avatar n tn before you go make a list of the foods that your kids like to eat. This way the nutritionist can add them in to your meal plan. Most insurance will cove the visit to the nutritionist for diabetics. We had the problem of our daughter was not a big eater; she ate a variety but not a lot of food. A nutritionist definitely helped us. I hope this helps .
Avatar f tn Thanks ladies!! I'm a nutritionist but when I think of making my own meal plan it makes me not want the things I'm thinking.. lol.. so thats why I needed some drinkable ideas.. the carnation instant breakfasts will be great!
944604 tn?1283198925 The doctor put me on a diabetic meal plan with complex carbs based on the new pyramid. The idea was to get me and sustain me at my normal levels. It made my lows even lower, so they put me on the diabetic protein plan which I was told the body can turn the proteins into what is needed, so it can raise and sustain the blood sugar levels.
Avatar m tn ground whole grain corn, powdered cellulose, peanut hulls, chicken by-product meal, chicken liver flavour, soybean meal, soybean mill run, dried egg product, soybean oil, corn gluten meal.... (plus vitamins etc) This sounds weird. "Peanut hulls"??? Since when were peanut hulls good basic food for dogs?? And the rest of it sounds like junk from dubious origins. The other brands of prescription foods fare no better, in my opinion. I know what I would do if I were you.
Avatar f tn They actually wanted me to allot a certain amount of my meals toward carbs(dairy, fruit, and grains)/protein/fats. I spoke with a nutritionist and diabetes educator who helped me find a meal plan that works best for my schedule, but I make sure to eat every 2-3 hours and test my blood sugar 2hours after each meal. I am at the end of week two with my new routine and it is becoming easier. I also have not been able to stablize my sugars with just diet so I had to begin medication.
Avatar n tn Hi, there are some great online keto groups and low carb / paleo groups / pages for meal ideas. I don't typically snack. Breakfast would be eggs done somehow, with either veges, cheese, or meat. I am partial to a good sausage occasionally. Usually washed down with coffee with cream. Lunch and dinner are typically meat and veges of some sort. I do make low carb breads (look up cloud bread or psillium bread for starters), and these are great with cheese, salad, salami, etc.
