Hello,
I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
I have never missed a pill, but I guess I could just be being paranoid. Loestrin gives me VERY VERY light periods anyway, and I've heard that even skipping a period on Loestrin is normal. I have taken my first inactive pill today so I guess I just need to wait it out instead of jumping the gun with paranoia. Thanks so much for your reply!

I'm 23 and on birth control (Loestrin 24). Normally my periods are somewhat regular, but really light and short. Last month I didn't have one, but I did have some slight spotting before my period was supposed to come. This month my period also skipped.
I have no other symptoms of PCOS except some acne on my chin (but occasional breakouts are not uncommon for me, I have oily skin, plus an expired skin product and eating wheat with my allergy may have caused this).
I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
I've not had any problems with Yaz or Loestrin 24. I'm on Loestrin right now because Yaz made me pretty low emotionally. However, I think because they are so low dose pills, they shouldn't cause such a problem.
I've heard bad thinkgs about Seasonal/ique, though. I dunno. I take Loestrin continiously and haven't had an issue, I don't see why you would bother with a pill specifically marketed as "less periods" when you can have them with any.
If my period is supposed to arrive around Sunday, when would be the best time to start on the Loestrin? I know that with Primolut-N, you're supposed to start taking it 3 days before your period is supposed to start. Is it the same with Loestrin, do you think? I would ask my doctor but she's so hard to reach and don't want to accidentally miss my window of time!

ve been on loestrin 30 for over a year, and I started taking the pill to control mood swings and to get lighter periods. For several months my periods have been really light and only lasted 2-3 days, and this month I finished taking my pills on Friday 19th, and 4 days later I still haven't got my period. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a few months, but I always took the pills at the right time, and very rarely missed one anymore.

I'm actually taking Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills and I've been experiencing almost all of those symptoms listed and just last week I started my period but Im not suppose to start till this thursday. I've had HORRIFIC cramps and I'm somewhat heavy with dark blood and red with some clomps and my period isn't flowing constantly it keeps stoping and I'm panicking cause I don't know if this is normal or not.
I have been on the pill for a number of years now only stopping to fall pregnant with my son. My periods had always been regular with red blood and lasted around 4 days. I then went on the mini pill as I breastfed. Once this was over I went on the combined pill again. I was not experiencing normal flow and the blood was dark I spoke to the nurse who put me on loestrin 20.
if you've been taking the same kind of birth control for a longer period of time, sometimes you won't bleed for a month. Depending on how old you are, your hormones might be skyrocketed and no withdrawal bleeding will occur when this happens. Also, stressing out about it or being stressed in general can cause you to have light to literally no period. I was on Loestrin for 1 1/2 years and I didn't get a period for 3 months one time.
I averaged(since I started the pills) 1-2 periods a month, but they were and still are very light. But in October, I had three periods, no crapms, and all three periods consisted of a vinegary smelling dark brown blood. I even tried using a ******, and I wash down there every time I shower. I told my mom about it and she said just keep an eye on it since I go to see my obgyn in February for a follow-up.
I am wondering what is a good type of birth control to take for acne and that will regulate my period, but won't effect my hormones too much?
I have tried mulitple birth control such as ortho-tricyclen and multiple others that I can't remember the names to. They each helped with my acne and to regulate my period significantly but I didn't like taking them.
So I've been taking Lo loestrin fe for 3 weeks. A week before taking it, I had my period. After taking it, I got it again. I understand that it's normal to get it after first starting. My problem is that it's now been 2 weeks that I've been on my period. Is this still normal?
Oh, btw, her last cycle was March 28th and ended April 1 but was very light. She has regular periods but had recently been taking antibiotics. She is due for her new cycle 4/22. What do ya'll think??
I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year now. I take it regularly and consistently, but vomited a few hours after taking one pill of this month's pack. I'm on the second day of the placebo pills now, and I did not have a period last month at all. My boyfriend and I have been having sex, without using condoms, for 5 months and everything has been fine, but I'd like some reassurance. Could missing that one pill in the first week of pills cause me to be pregnant?
I eat a low fat diet and exercise daily, but I am on loestrin FE. Yesterday I noticed a feeling of stiffness in my ear and jaw that has continued through today. Is this indicative of a serious problem? Should I go to the ER?
I was on Loestrin many years ago and went about 6 months with no period (didn't start back up until I stopped taking the pill). So if you aren't pregnant, I'd just assume the pill is eliminating your cycles.
