no periods on birth control

I loved my IUD. I had horrible painful periods and my periods decreased to just spotting with no cramping.

I'm on Junel Fe birth control. My periods use to be 5 days before I started taking the pill in January 2014. I've noticed since February that my periods have been pretty consistent. They come on Mondays and have lasted 4 days. This month (June) my period lasted 3 days. My boobs are still a little sore. Should I be worried.

Yes. Everytime I'be been on birth control my periods are regular. Like clockwork. I've been on different brands & I was always on point.

t had my period on my own for over a year now, and even stopped getting it while still on Mircette (birth control). My OB moved us onto a fertility specialist ASAP and with a moderate PCOS diagnosis, despite no cysts, I am waiting for my first beta blood test tomorrow to see if our round 1 of IVF was successful. In my mind there is no better form of birth control...effortless, easy, and convenient- I would totally recommend the IUD to anyone! The copper one lasts for 10 years while the Mirena lasts for 5 so they are great for long term usage. My experience was bad because the doctor who inserted my IUD cut the strings too short and it traveled up in my uterus. When it came time for removal they had to basically scrape my uterus with a long ice cream scoop to try and remove it.

So i definitely am getting on birth control after i have my baby girl im 37 weeks and im not sure what i want so im looking for opinions i am strongly leaning towards the implant that goes in your arm ive been doing a lot of research i just wanna know if its worked good for you or anyone you know...

I only did that for the convenience of no periods, but it took my body almost a year to actually start having periods again!! I would do the IUD for you, hassle free and nothing to remember!

I've got a week left and I still don't know what birth control I should get on. And that will help with periods (cuz I have bad flow that I get anemic on my period.) and one that I can safely breastfeed with. Any ideas? What are you stories, the good and bad with birth control.

I was on what they call the mini pill after having my first (the estrogen free birth control pill). It's a good option but I'm terrified I'll forget and get pregnant before we're ready. I'm not the most patient person and two is plenty for now.

I have always used Orthos Tricycle Lo, but after the baby i just kept bleeding while taking it, so my Dr. switched me to LoEstrin24. LOVE it!!!! Shorter lighter periods!! And no breakthrough bleeding.

So i am looking to switch birth controls, i do not want the pill in fear of not remembering on a daily basis. I was looking online about the patch but i have also heard of skin problems from it. Can someone please recommend me a good type of birth control?

I would never recommend the depo shot. I was on it for a year and ever since ive had bad headaches and problems with my bones aching. It ***** the calcium out of your bones and I was always small (110-115 pounds) before I started it and it made me gain weight I was never able to keep off and stayed around 140 when before I could never even make myself gain weight. It totally messed up my body and periods and I bled for 2-3 weeks everytime I had to get the next shot.

I have not personally tried the patch. I believe it lasts for one week, so you use one a week for three weeks, and then have an off week. It's odd that a 21 day pill pack messed up your periods, since the usual effect is to make them super regular. Were you taking them at the same time every day? It's possible that that brand of birth control just wasn't right for you, and that's why it was screwy.

Can stopping the birth control give you brown discharge of 8 days? and a delayed period?. i have always taken my pills, active and inactive pills every month... but now stopped it the birth control... i have a delayed period... at least 29 to 31 days sincle last brown discharge from the 2nd to the 8th-10th of July... i have regular periods after 21 to 23 days...

I was on it for a couple years. It worked fine for me. No periods, no weight gain, but it did make me real moody. Well it took like four ish years to make me moody and emotional. Its recommended that you only use it for two or three years straight then take a break and find another birth control method and switch back if you want to.

Okay so I am on birth control (YAZ) so my period is suppose to be more regular and yadi ya but lately the past few months I havent even been having my period. I've had the mirena IUD since 2011 and haven't had any problems. Except a couple of them fell out due to other reasons but I have always had them replaced. It has been the best thing for me because it's the only thing I've tried that helped with my heavy periods. Now I can travel even when I'm on my period because my periods are so light that I only need the thinnest pads. It's been great for me.

There are a number of possible reasons for not having a period and you should make a doctor's appointment to find out what is going on. Sudden weight gain is one possible cause for not having a period, but that might also be in combination of another cause that is making you not have your period. Once the doctor finds out what is causing this, then you can go from there.
