Did u have irregular bleeding before starting birth control? Any bleeding in between periods?

I have been on Ortho Tri Lo but the past few months I'm having bleeding between periods with it. My OB decided this past week that I need a all-month high dose instead of the low, medium, high dose pack that the Lo has. She called in a new kind but I forget the name...haven't picked it up yet because I need to finish out the Lo pack first. We'll see! I will say the Lo has made my periods a breeze, very mild cramps if any and no PMS.

I googled what it could mean to be bleeding in between and found that implantation bleeding usually occurs 4 weeks after conception and it's been exactly 4 weeks since I had sex = /

Okay so I am on birth control (YAZ) so my period is suppose to be more regular and yadi ya but lately the past few months I havent even been having my period. Depo takes effect as soon as you get it. It worked great for me as far as not getting pregnant but I had horrible mood swings, acne, and my appetite was out of control. It doesn't do everyone like that but all birth control has some type of side effects!

My periods have never been irregular and I have been tracking them religiously for the past 6 months and now, this month I recently started my period on December 8th (five days later then normal) and it ended on the 12th. I had unprotected sex with my husband on the 11th. Went three days without a period and started spotting again on the 16th. It's not heavy and started as clear mucus with bright red streaks and then spotting more with activity.
