No carb yogurt

Common Questions and Answers about No carb yogurt

carb

Avatar n tn I do the same. Greek yogurt (my doc insists that I eat some yogurt daily so I do - unflavored, and I add almonds and high fiber cereal to it, so no sugar except what is in the milk), hard boiled eggs, small quantities of nuts or pumpkin seeds (I pour into small/tiny bowl to control portion), and cheeses (again, control portion, low fat stuff). I like low carb tortillas for sandwiches - so I can add more protein with less carb.
594189 tn?1386916607 Dairy is generally considered a protein but also contains a lot of calcium, so yes, opt for the low/no fat varieties of milk, yogurt, cheese, etc.
Avatar f tn The nurse said start your day with protein, but also 45g of carbs. Eggs, meat, yogurt, etc. No bagels, waffles, pancakes before noon. Diet drinks or water. Fruits with skin. I have a whole list of do's & don't's.
1533382 tn?1357962152 I'm 31weeks 3 days pregnant and last week I found out I have gestational diabetes. I've been on a 'carb counting' diet ever since and have to check my sugar levels 4 times a day keeping it in a certain range. I've noticed over my week of this diet that anything that's actually a full meal, be it mostly protein and no carbs or under my carb limits spikes my levels.
Avatar n tn You could blitz soft fruit with yogurt, that way you get all the fibre as well as the juice and protein from the yogurt. You can buy zero fat natural yogurt and the Greek style ones are great. If you juice your veg, by extracting the juice and throwing away the fibre, that is not good. Better to blitz the whole carrot, or better still make soup and add some lentils, all sorts of veg and bits of lean chicken or lean spare ribs. Yummy.
Avatar f tn Eating healthy, drinking lots of water, and wearing breathable(preferably cotton) underwear helps. I've never heard of using Greek yogurt, always been told plain, unflavored yogurt, so that may make a difference, but I'm not sure. Watch your carb and sweets intake. Check with the doc for sure. He may rather just prescribe you something instead of trying to take care of it yourself.
1301482 tn?1325722991 Who has done a low carb diet that worked well? Can you give me any tips for low carb snacks/meals?
403311 tn?1205951286 We feed yogurt to our dogs as well but we always get nonfat plain yogurt. I doubt that the amount of chocolate in your yogurt is enough to hurt your dog, but generally chocolate is not considered good for canines. We also make sure there's no sugar or preservatives in the yogurt. We usually buy nonfat Mountain High yogurt and we'll put it in their kongs with dry kibble and freeze it. They love it!
Avatar f tn This is why some people get high blood sugar and heart racing after drinking a large protein shake (with low carb and no fat). Eat fat with your proteins, like full fat yogurt. Eat three meals per day, no snacking in between, and typical meal looking like this: green or low-sugar vegetable with meat/flush/eggs and healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil, grass fed butter, avocado, nuts, etc). Stay away from carb rich stuff like beans, rice, pasta, bread, flour, etc. stay away from sugar.
1451080 tn?1438527660 As a family of 5 with two children and myself being on meds and only one person working, I need some economical low carb ideas for meals and/or snacks. The low carb thing is new to my entire family. Any info would be helpful. Also, any info on how to naturally lower my blood pressure is also welcome. Thanks!
Avatar f tn She will not eat any other dairy, milk, eggs, vegetables or other yogurt flavors. Her cereal is dry. Her pasta, plain, no butter or sauce of any kind. She will occasionally eat chicken but insists its "crispy" which to me means deep fried and fat and I refuse to cook that way. She will go hungry before she tries something new. I have sat her down with food network to watch cooking shows because she loves to cook but she wont eat what she helps prepare.
Avatar n tn Okay, we're now about 5 days into learning that our daughter is diabetic. So really any info at this time is going to be greatly appreciated. Some of our most immediate concerns revolve around diet. We fully understand how to do the calculations we need, how to check labels, really most of the basics. But we are also trying to find resources that are a little more specific as to snacks that are no-carb, low-carb.
Avatar n tn I had suffered from IBS-C in highschool for a few years but it went away after I started a low-carb diet for a month and graduated. I'm unaware if it was the lack of stress due to graduating or the low carb diet, but I was able to eat whatever I wanted, and whenever I wanted for the past 3 years with no problems at all. I went on a service trip with my college this past april, and on the last day we were there I had a horrible bout of Diarrhea, which was possibly caused by my period.
