Avatar n tn After only 1 week of taking HC I got ringing of the ears. Quit for a week and the ringing did not go away. Now I am taking Isocort and the ringing is still happening. Is this a coincidence or are the adrenal medications casuing this ear problem I feel stuffed up.
Avatar n tn Anyhow, I had NO ringing in the ears from Zoloft. None. About the main side-effect I had on Zoloft was fatique, lack of libido, constipation, lethargy, more fatique...you get the picture. Zoloft helped me with my panic attacks ,which many yrs ago I did suffer. Zoloft also helped me with my clinical depressions. That's why my Doc prescribed "Z" for me.
Avatar f tn I have had Graves Disease for the past 15 years and have had many of the symptom associated with it, but recently I have started to have ringing in the ears, numbness on the left side of my face and a twitching left eyelid. Is this just a part of having Graves Disease or is this something else? If it is something else what could it be?
Avatar f tn The ringing in the ears in something to do with the ears i think its called tinnesitis or hoever you spell thay word
Avatar m tn I am since off the med and the ringing is still there. I had my ears checked and have slight hearing loss in that ear too. Seeing the ENT really helped. He thought at first it could have been allergies, blocked eustachion (sp?) tubes....?? But then after diagnosing hearing loss he said that can cause the ringning in the ears.... He said I could try Lipo Flaviniod sold at most drug stores. Its a vitamin. Also said I could try a nasal steroid spray for allergies.
Avatar f tn i was DX with MS in Sept 2008. I have had severe ringing in the ears since 05, does any one know if my MS is part of it?I have had all the the test out there for the ringing if anone has an answer please let me know. thank you.
Avatar f tn The ringing is so bad in the night and in the morning think it makes the pain worse. Also on 2 1/2 mg Ativan but have been trying to come off it as the anxiety is much less. I did quit smoking and have started again but not very much. None of the Dr's can explain.
Avatar f tn I haven't had the ringing in the ears that you are experiencing, but it's a symptoms some people get. Someone else here may be able to answer, but don't worry -- keep treating and pursuing the illness until you are well. You have, in my non-medically-trained opinion, done the exact right thing by getting tested and treated.
1095579 tn?1269470549 Oxy and Vicodin both cause nerve problems in the auditory canal. The good news is the ringing usually alleviates and then disappears. If it does not within a couple weeks you could have another condition, maybe tinitus that is unrelated to the medication, My guess is you will be fine but talk to your Doctor ASAP. Congrats on your new life. I have been through this three times and i feel completely committed to myself at last.
Avatar f tn Google Ativan and ringing in the ears, rondoo. The ringing is a w/d symptom and Ativan, being a short term benzo will keep you in perpetual withdrawal until your next dose. Keep a diary of when the ringing is at it's worst and I will bet it's time for your dose of Ativan. I have severe ringing after coming off Neurontin last Dec, but I had tinnitus to begin, probably from Xanax now that I'm thinking about it, although not to this extent.
Avatar f tn It occurs with disorders affecting the external, the middle or the inner ear. In the outer ears cerumen impaction or external otitis, in the middle ear fluid collection or disease of the tympanic membrane and in the inner ear damage to the nerve endings can cause tinnitus. As a result of these disorders the external sounds are masked leading to awareness of normal body sounds.
Avatar n tn This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. This can also result in infection of the ears and tinnitus. Tinnitus should resolve once the infection subsides. So, continue with your medications. In addition, the blocked ears can be opened up by the valsalva maneuver, where air is blown into the cheeks against a closed nostrils, this sometimes helps to open up the tubes.
Avatar f tn s it it was the temporary crowns that was making my ears to buzz like that ; that day it was fine , but the next day my ears started to have this hissing sounds again & now even my neck & my jaw hurts !!! I want to know if a bad root canal is the root of my problems or keeping the temporary crowns for so long ?? I'm very depressed because of this .
Avatar n tn Tough question. There are many reasons for post nasal drip and tinnitus. If your nose is still running, could it be sinusitis? Do notice any weird smells from your nose? Headaches? A chronic sinus infection will cause post nasal drip. But it could be that one month with Flonase isn't long enough to get your symptoms under control. I would say 2 months would be more reasonable to decide if there is something else. this type of therapy takes a while for things to set in.
Avatar f tn I am determined to get rid of the ringing in ears. Please suggest so I can identify the root cause and cure the problem.
471949 tn?1236904026 Every since being in a car accident over a month ago I have constant ringing in my ears and on and off dizziness. I'm still being treated by a chiropractor for my messed up neck (which is improving) but the other things just get worse...any ideas???
Avatar n tn Hello, This constant ringing that you are having in your ears is called tinnitus. Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain.
Avatar m tn Sounds like tinnitus. But you should see a Neurologist or and Spine Specialist to help you further.
1396846 tn?1332459510 I have the high pitched ringing in my ears. I have many problems with my ears including deafness for a short period of time in my left ear, the Morse code clicking (turns out to be a spasm), and phantom phone ringing sounds. I went to the audiologist and he said that I had sensori-neural hearing loss in both ears. It can stem from the brain or the ears. He isn't sure where it comes from. If I could afford hearing aids, I'd have them, but they're really expensive.
1823499 tn?1370090289 Thanks Selma! I really take very little meds, the occasional ibuprofin. I don't know what ICP is...
Avatar f tn I too have ear ringing and have had it all my life. By blood work shows that I am low in the reference range and because of that the Dr's won't treat me. Even thought I have several other mild symptoms that are also consistent with being low thyroid. I just wanted to mention that my ear ringing the only thing I can attribute it to is low thyroid as I have been pretty careful my whole life to protect my ears and hearing from loud noises.
Avatar f tn first i had ringing in my right ear for a day now its in my left ear and stopped in my right ear. very loud high pitched and annoying. i also suffer from a year and two month long migraine, not sure if that has anything to do with it. does this ringing ever go away???!
Avatar f tn I know that I am probably asking ALOT of questions but everytime I turn around its like I have something else to ask. Today my ears have been ringing and it's driving me crazy, I have also read that this could be one if the signs it was in an article for women over 40 and also just other ones I have read on other women who have had this dying pregnancy. From 6 weeks on. Has anyone else had this as well?????
382193 tn?1205765111 Just wanted to know if anyone had experienced tinnitus, or ringing in the ears??!! I've been almost 4 weeks sober....and it started last sunday....and its been constant...I'm now on prednisone....please share your experiences! Thanks!
2122807 tn?1560619706 and all of these dreadful symptoms are a thing of the past, except for one.... this ringing in the ears. It is not as intense as it was in the beginning, but still very annoying. Does anyone know how long this may take, and has anyone had this be permanant? I can live with it, life is great now, but it sure would be nice to get rid of.
Avatar n tn "just wondering if anyone else has had the buzzing, ringing in ears and any neck pain." - very common here with hypo thyroid. Ear buzzing more common than ringing. Ear pounding, drumming , beating pulse comming from neck artery and heard in left ear common (closer to heart). Common thought on the neck pain - inflamed body tissue can spread inflammation. All of this can be relieved in most after meds and levels are sustained.
