Avatar f tn I wondering if anyone has any type of ear problems from it!? Or have experienced ringing, buzzing, whooshing noises. I have lost 170 pounds and different things have popped up over the years....I'm very healthy, weigh 130 pounds, but I'm going to lose my mind from this unknown source! The House Ear Clinic is doing a lot of trial and error? Anyone out there that can relate?
Avatar n tn I was just diagnosed with lyme about 3 weeks ago and have been on doxy since then. I have heard ear ringing goes hand-in-hand with lyme BUT my PCP who is LLMD thinks the lyme has cause my TMJ (on the side where my ear is ringing) to flare up...hence causing the ringing. I have a swollen lump under my left ear, as well. Could this be a swollen muscle? Caused by clenching? I just got a nightguard made about a one month ago and have been wearing it, but the ringing hasn't subsided.
Avatar f tn my left side nose is deviated,,my voice is hitting left ear,, and ringing in ear is also left only.
Avatar n tn I live in Lower Michigan, and yes, the ringing fluctuates in pitch and intensity often. Can be a soft hiss to a loud buzz and sometimes even a "beep"! The ENT I went to thought that was strange and possibly promising that it would change so drastically so often. There's days I go without noticing it all until I get home from work. If I keep my mind off it it's not there. As soon as it's quiet and I think about it, it's back....
471949 tn?1236904026 In many cases these problems are the result of an inner ear infection or some other treatable condition. Once the infection is treated and healed, the dizziness and ear ringing should gradually disappear. Another reason for dizziness and ear ringing may be Meniere's disease. This is a condition characterized by an excessive build-up of fluid in the inner ear. Cause is not known, but mostly related to head injury, ear infection and syphilis.
Avatar f tn Dr thought the ear ringing would go away in a couple of days once I stopped taking the med. It has been almost 6 weeks and no change -- ear ringing in both ears is stopping me from working, reading and generally enjoying life. Quality of life has plummeted! Has anyone else gone through this? If so, how long does the ear ringing last? ENT did not really give me a good answer: you have it; could go away. Still in acute phase; wait and see. Not very helpful as it is affecting my livelihood....
Avatar f tn When I do have the headache, I occasionally get naeusous as well. I also have a ringing and sensitivity to noise in my right ear. I have had the other symptoms on and off for a few years now (mostly off, fortunately), but the ear ringing is new since I stopped taking the SSRI Zoloft for anxiety (I was only on it for about a month before tapering off). Also, my back, around my shoulders, hurt and tingle on occasion as well, and I just have a general feeling of unwellness.
Avatar n tn Actually, I am deaf. When My left ear always ringing and pressure inside. My right ear is pressure and pop. Also, I had dizzly sometimes. I went to ENT and nothing help. One of my friend say, put hearing aid on!! but i don't have hearing aid myself. So, My idea is wearing the headphone with music. let me test with it for few weeks. It seems little bit help. my ringing stop but it will come back in few days. So, I keep to wear headphone with music. Sound like, My left ear is weak.
Avatar m tn Unfortunately since you exposed yourself to loud music, and caused damage to your ear, the rining is most likely permanent and unrelated to your other symptoms. It can be affected by the other symptoms in small ways. I know my ringing is "quieter" when my ears are more congested. I will say that my ENT is baffled by the ringing in my ears since I have no hearing loss at all and he says that the ETD should not cause the ringing.
Avatar m tn Hi Dear The ringing in the ears (tinnitus) could be due to the presence of wax in the ear, ear infection, trauma to the ear, loud noise, and other rare causes including Meniere's disease and brain tumor. In your case, it appears to be due to the presence of wax as the symptoms improved after the wax was removed. The headache that you are experiencing could be due to the high level of stress that you are taking. Hence, please relax, and do not worry about carbon monoxide poisoning.

Avatar n tn your dentist should be able to recommend someone. I have ringing in ear, pain in ear/jaw area and am told i do have TMJ by my dentist and need to see a speicialist which i plan to do asap.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if there is any correlation between ear ringing and heart racing and cellphone towers being put everywhere?
Avatar n tn I did a bunch of research on google about ear ringing and I see all these horrible stories about tinnitus and how it can put such a big impact on someones life. I'm just so worried, like I said it's really not bad at all during the day it's almost like it's not there, it seems like only at night when I cover my ear on a pillow or something I can hear it the most. Thank you.
620877 tn?1282764097 ve had the occasional ringing, whooshing and intermittent hearing loss in my left ear, my MS symptoms start on the left before they also include the right. I'll be paying more attention to it to see if i can find a connection. cheers.....
Avatar n tn Tinnitus is another thing all together and your Dad may have to go to an ear specialist and be administered special earing tests. My Dad had (before he died) Tinnitus which he got around age 60. Anyhow, why was your Dad placed on Zoloft to begin with? ...Depression, panic attacks, anxiety?
Avatar n tn s still here after a shower, after putting some water in my ear and knocking it out again, etc. What is this? How long should I wait before going to a doctor?
Avatar n tn I have tinnitus for almost 2 months now along with ear ache and ear popping when I swollow. I was tested for allergies and have pet allergies and seasonal allergies. I have been on Rhinocort, Zyrtec, and Singular. Some of my allergies are being controlled like itchy eyes, congestion, and runny nose but the ear ringing, pain, clogging persists.
Avatar f tn Oh, I know how annoying this is! I've been there. Here is my guess. you used the AirPods. You may have had some wax build up. It got compacted. This can cause that plugged up feeling that also distorts your hearing and then can create ringing. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/ear-feels-clogged-and-ringing#earwax-impaction I'd get some debrox and try to see if that helps. (at any drug store, follow directions. Safe for babies, safe for everyone).
Avatar n tn The thing is I have always had a ringing in my ears from a very long time ago. I was very young and I think the ringing comes from stress. Pain insuces stress as well as head pressure. So when my wisdom finally started to emerge a little over a year ago the ringing in my ear started to get worse. The pressure really started to hit me around a few months ago and now its tough to sleep with all the head pain and the large amounts of ringing I get especially from laying down.
Avatar m tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case (since you have other symptoms such as ringing in the ear) could be cervical spinal nerve compression, Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too.
Avatar m tn Phlegm in the throat can be caused by post nasal drip and is very common. Ringing in the ear(s) (Tinnitus) can be caused by certain medications or problems with the inner ear. Did you address the ringing with your doctor? It would be best to see and ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor for this. But I've had ringing in both of my ears for many years and have been told there is nothing that can be done. I do take an antidepressant and that may be my cause.
