so im trying to get off nexium so i bought some dgl
the exact one i got is dgl ultra by enzymatic therapy german chocolate flavored
each tablet is 400mg
i wanted to know what other peoples dosage habits are like with dgl whats the max you should take..what dosage do you take that seems to help
anything else i should know?
when the doctor said 200 was the maximum he accepted that. He does seem to be doing well, but I am worried. what chance is there of his ever getting off of it, or at least onto a lower dose?
Is anyone out there taking Teva's version of Nexium? I'm to the point now where I can't get the brand. I was astonished to see that this generic version's co-pay through my insurance is so high! $80 for 90 days. I could understand this price for the brand, but for generic? Anyway, I had tried this version as I had to with my last insurance, it and I didn't do as well on it. I tried it for a week. I an wondering if it was just my imagination.
My question is how long can I safely take Nexium 24 and at what dosage. I realize this is not going to be medical advice for a Dr but I cant' imagine 2 weeks on the purple pill (Nexium 24 advice to see a Dr post 2 weeks) is going to help many folks with moderate to severe LPR.
Sounds like some folks have been on Nexium for years under a 40 mg prescription.........when/if I start feeling ok again after resuming taking the medication how long should/can I continue on it?
However, it is common practice to increase medication dose to help control blood sugar (the maximum dose of metformin is about 2500 mg/day, in split doses). Some people do take their medication before eating. Please discuss changes in medication dosing with your md.
You may also find that restricting carbs (eat more fat, non-starchy vegetables instead to replace the calories) may help in reducing your blood sugar.
If you stop use of the Tylenol PM, it may take up to 2-4 weeks for you to adjust to falling asleep without the medication, but there should be no other problems. Nexium is a short term drug only. Maximum of 8 weeks however the FDA issued a statement to take PPI's up to 14 days, 3 times a year. There is a good reason for this. You NEED stomach acid to absorb nutrients. My mother hasn't suffered GERD and LPR (suffered both severely for 5 years) since stopping ALL acid blockers and antacids and taking digestive enzyme supplements (to help digest foods) and betaine HCI with pepsin supplements (to increase stomach acid).
Tylenol is unveiling new maximum dosage instructions for paracetamol or acetaminophen in the US. The new instructions state a maximum total daily of 3,000 mg versus the old maximum of 4,000 mg. I've been taking Nexium 40 mg. for about 4 years with no side effects. I was recently switched by my doctor to the generic brand Esomprazole Magnesium & have a very dry mouth. Is it possible it is from the generic med?
It is possible that meds u took for ur stomach issue could have flared up the reflux.
It is important to get back on the proper diet and u may need to take extra meds for the reflux....but do talktour dr to get the proper dosage.
Maylox or tums in addition to ur nexium may help.
Is it 50mg? I am about to switch and wanted to make sure. I also know that 20mg is usually the maximum allowed for Lexapro, is 50mg the maximum for Pristiq?

I am having trouble finding out what is a safe maximum dosage of Diamox for psuedotumor cerebri. When I had asked my daughters neurologist this question, she said there is no maximum dosage which I found hard to believe that there wouldn't be a max dose on any medication.
My daughter is 15 yrs old and had been prescribed a total of 2500 mg per day divided into 3 doses.
Does anyone know the max dose for diamox?
