Avatar n tn Maybe help him when he needs Immodium AD and something to eat and drink if he can't get out of bed and get it himself. Good luck to you all. It's a very giant step to admit what he has and get to the point where he wants to quit. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm here for a while if you have any questions or need someone to talk to. Tell him that I'm here if he needs someone to talk to as well. Take care and god bless, Lil.

Avatar n tn Symptoms such as pinpoint pupils, constipation, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, weak pulse, seizures and difficulty breathing and bluish-colored fingernails and lips may be present with overdose. Other factors to consider also are the medical condition present and overall health of the patient. It is best that you talk to your doctor or be referred to a specialist to ease any worry or anxiety also. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I am 23 and have been suffering from intense migraines for about 12 years. Seizuresfor about 3 years, but this isn't about the seizures.

Avatar f tn I went to the ER the next morning for tests and they gave me morphine and lortab, neither of which made me feel high or much better. I think I've ruined my body and now when I am in real pain I can't get releif. When I think of the levels I have sunk to to obtain script drugs I am so disappointed in myself.
1099849 tn?1293496303 The reason I'm asking is that Clonazepam is also used for epilepsy and seizures and I don't want to take myself off this medication until I'm sure that the panic attacks aren't related. I was told by my PC Doctor that my insurance will not approve an eeg or mri since the CT scan showed a very healthy looking brain... so I'm in a bit of a quandry at the moment since I can't test to see if this electrical problem is significant... I'd really apppreciate your thoughts on the subject...
1052851 tn?1307744760 But, for some people, this is not a problem and they do not react this way to morphine at all and can take morphine without feel nausea what so ever. Our chemical make ups are all different and we all have different reactions to medications... some of us will have side effects, some of us will have allergies, and some of us will have the exact good reactions to the medication that the doctors want us to have.
Avatar f tn This can have serious and deadly consequences. The withdrawal can cause you to have seizures and heart attacks. Have you talked to both your pain management and ob/gyn about replacing your morphine with Methadone? Methadone is prescribed for moderate to severe pain but is also and opiate blocker.

Avatar f tn Hello everyone,my name is tony and I would like to share my expieriences with trying to come off of the horrible drug called tramadol.
Avatar f tn I'm treated with the pill form of morphine, and imitrex for the migraines. I literally have had a headache since June. Are there injections for frontal lobe headache that is not a migraine? Something I can inject at home? I want my life back. Migraine headaches as for me are bare able compared to this. The have caused one seizure, I believe. But then again I'm just learning my symptoms and my body's reaction.
525545 tn?1293184794 It is very scary to be experincing these seizures. Sometimes I am alone when it happens. I get no warnings I just blackout then fall and wake up. So I back on my seizure medicaton. But it could take a while to for it to control the seizures. My Neurologists told me that the Fibro., depression, anxiety, lack of rest, even loud noises or bright lights can trigger a seizure. This has not helped my depression at all. I am not sure what to do to get throught this.
Avatar f tn All that said, then the Doctor takes off his glasses and turns to my husband and I and tells us...That since I am already taking morphine it will be much more difficult to sedate me for surgery. That there will be a bit of a challenge to put me under enough for surgery while being cautious with both the seizures and making sure they aren't giving me too much sedation. He then asked if I could go without my medications for 36-48 hours before the surgery.
Avatar n tn Please, check out partial onset seizures and see what you think. It opened my mouth (jawdropping) and my eyes.
Avatar f tn These episodes are quite painful, so ERs want to give me pain meds. These don't help and I'm allergic to morphine based meds anyway and the pain is from the severity of the spasms. Pain meds don't even have an affect on the spasms. I've been told I'm crazy, literally. Very recently, after being refused medication at an ER, I asked the doctor to make a fist and hold as tightly and for as long as he could. He refused.

847512 tn?1272570662 Hey all, I have a problem. A new one that is. My Dr. Started me on Morphine and Fentanyl patches. But now all of a sudden the last 2 days I have gotten extreme muscle spasms especially in my neck and shoulders to the point where I cant look up or turn my head I can only look down and I have tension in my legs where they feel stiff when walking. Does anyone get that? I also get the spasms in my legs but not so much as in my shoulders and neck. this is getting out of hand.
579258 tn?1250652943 Migraine - early am - Was high intensity and used hydrocodone. Migraine - evening - Was one step lower in intensity and used tylenol with codeine Migraine - continued evening - One step lower yet in intensity and chose Advil. Hoping that going to sleep with Advil will help it go away .. hate to use prescription meds unless I have to .. it's always a gamble at this point.
Avatar n tn My point here is that everyone has something to offer, including some excellent chemical analysis and research skills and we welcome whatever skills you can offer, including moral support. My personal goal is consumer advocacy. I want to publish as much information and analysis about Tramadol as I can find. If you have something to share, welcome. My personal agenda: I am for personal empowerment through information. I am a lawyer who has done consumer protection class action work.
1684282 tn?1505701570 I am becoming somewhat frustrated with the way a lot of my colleagues practice medicine. Disenchanted, angry would be the other words that could be used. We all get ostensibly that same training and all of us are supposedly in it to help our patients. So, how come have I been getting so many letters lately on my addiction forum from desperate people unable to quit taking the tramadol pills that their own kind doctors have so freely prescribed for them?

Avatar f tn I was in a car accident that left me with a minor traumatic brain injury, and several broken vertabraes in my back. When I first became pg, I was on morphine, as well as norco. I decided to taper off the morphine if able, and continue with the norco. At the time I was being seen by a reproductive endocrologist who also specialized in high risk pgcy's due to recurrent mc issues.
Avatar n tn Not to mention the fact that from what I've read online, it's more used for seizures and nerve pain not anxiety. I've had bad experiences listening to doctors in the past, so at this point I don't trust what they tell me!! If you have any more info I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I am 12 wks pregnant with Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, and occasional seizures. The pain is unbearable to where I cannot get out of bed to do anything, which isn't safe either. I cannot do this without some meds. I was on lortab my first pregnancy and she is happy andhealthy 4 yr old. Anyone know what is safe. My midwife believes in NO meds. Desperate I can't sleep exercise or eat even at times.
Avatar m tn I was earlier this week admitted to hospital with acute stomach pain, an episode which required morphine to control, and left me incapacitated for 4 days. The initial diagnosis was appendicitis, but they're investigating crohns first. This was my forth episode of this in the space of a year, each time the pain is identical. About a fortnight ago, I noticed a numb cold pain in the tips of my fingers and toes. This felt like it was emanating from my inside my digits and down to the tips.
