When I informed my doc that the Percocet no longer worked, he took me off those, and stuck me onto MS Contin EQ 15mg (2/day), and morphine immediate-relief 15mg (4/day). That happened at a point in time where my marriage was falling apart, my work-life & enviroment was miserable, and the pain had reached a point where it kept me from enjoying the healthy things that had kept me going. Lo & behold.....

Wine is only okay after your baby is fully developed in the last month not, "here and there" and beer is not okay. I crave beer all the time but I wouldn't drink a small one I mean what's the point you're not gonna get drunk nor buzzed and it'll just go straight to the baby.

I made my hubby go and buy a red bull the other day cos I really craved it i you'd him to drink it but to leave me a mouthful in the bottom..

Well I asked my Dr and he said I beer or glass of wine a week in the first is fine and second trimester 2 a week and third you can have one glass of wine with dinner whenever... I went by those rules last pregnancy and my son is just fine but I know people freak out about all kinds of things so idk... It's up to you..

I hate to be the party pooper, but you are both 30+ years old and you're discussing having panic attacks from drinking.......have either of you considered getting into therapy to find the root cause of your panic, which, apparently, is triggered by alcohol for both of you? My advice..........either don't drink and avoid those pesky panic attacks, or seek the cause, and most likely the cure, with therapy.

My doc actually told me I could have a lite beer a few times a week to help constipation. I don't think it'll hurt anything by having that.

Do you know anyone who gets drunk and blacks out etc. after one beer? Sounds to me like a mental health issue- paranoia or OCD - which is making you question a safe encounter. If you continue to have these concerns, your best bet is to take them up with a mental health professional. Your concerns are beyond the scope of help that an HIV forum can provide.

okay, so when I drink any type of Budweiser products my throat closes up and my uvula expands to twice if not three times its normal size... When I first drink the beer I break out in hives and then in the morning the throat things happen.. I just want to know what is causing it because one Smirnoff ice was enough to put me in the er... Hi, I have regular bouts of what I assume to be heartburn: discomfort behind the lower half of my sternum. It only really bothers me with liquids, even a large batch of almond milk smoothie, that I made the other day. Wine gives me a certain amount of discomfort, but beer really gives me trouble. After two or three pints I get quite intense pain, and a need to vomit. It feels like my whole system has backed up, and that my intestine's won't let the contents of my stomach through.

My question is that I was on librium 5mg 2x's a day and am wanting to have a beer w/ the game. If I stop taking them how long do they remain in my system. If I don't take them on the day I drink beer will it be ok? Not wanting to risk anything therefore wanting to get info from others. Thanks so much.

I say let her do what makes her happy for the amount of time she has left. My sister had Stage IV cancer that had spread to her lung and liver and she smoked her "weed" and cigarettes until the day she died. At this point in person't life, they should be able to choose how they want to live out the time they have left. Just my opinion.

I'm 33 weeks and have had 3 glasses of wine and 1 beer my whole pregnancy.. I've been pregnant through Christmas, New Years, my hens night, my wedding, my honeymoon and soon to be my birthday lol plus alot of other birthdays so I've had a few small glasses!

Root beer does have some caffiene. I got a huge bottle of it and drank half then read the ingredients and sure enough theres caffiene but ur allowed like 200-300 mg a day a cup of coffee pretty much. So root beer is still fine.

Normally the anxiety resolves itself within a few weeks but this time it has persisted and continues on. Could it be caused by the morphine? This is my thought but the pharmacist said he didn't think it was. Also my doctor is suggesting 8 tylenol a day to replace the morphine. I am so skeptical of it being adequate though I know I can manage less than the 60 mg of morphine now. What are your thoughts?

Oh and it's not a myth about beer and milk supply. And LC will tell you that. It's dark beer that is good for increasing milk supply.

Keep in mind that means drink half a beer and wheat beer works best. I had bad milk supply issues and every lactation consultant I talked to told me about the beer.

Lyrica made me feel like I was drunk on a keg of beer and I was crab walking sideways and tilted... Plus an upset stomach. LOL! I mean - if I liked drugs that would have been fine... But dang!!!!!!!! That was incredible. I took them for 6 days --- and I stopped taking them as the sides were getting worse --- It took 3 days to get rid of the sides. They gave me Tramadol - which appears to be working ok ---- I prefer the percocets now that I've tried something else.

I am not sure what the circumstances are that surround your situation, but I do know that strokes are caused by a blood clot or a brain bleed. My mom just had 2 strokes and they actually gave her a morphine pump for her head because it hurt so bad. I do not think they would have done that if there was a chance it would cause more strokes. Keep doing your research though, I guess you never know!

Hi keetzy, I came off morphine 1 1/2 years ago and the withdrawal made me very sick for about 6 weeks. And I have also been on and off tramadol quite a few times. At the moment I'm taking aprox 200 mg of tramadol a day, along with Tylenol 3's. I didn't find tramadol addicting at all. I don't go into withdrawal if I miss a dose.

Why in the society that we live in is it so easy to get vicodin and other narcotics? I was first prescribed morphine at the age of 15 without even being diagnosed with a reason to my pain. 10 years later I am an addict!! I feel like my youth was taken away from me! I was on morphine before I even had my first sip of beer!! No wonder I struggle now! I can't even count how many of my long time friends take pain medication. I don't know if any of them are addicts but I'm sure some are.

I took 1g of azithromycin on Monday night. I went to a lunch today and I started drinking a beer because it had totally slipped my mind that I took the medication on Monday. I finished the one beer, but drank only water the rest of the time. Will that one beer affect my being cured or affect the medication? Thanks.
