Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar n tn I am not sure! I have taken this for a few years now and I wanted to stop. My asthma was worsening and had developed problems swallowing at times. When I stopped the Mobic, I had the most excruciating headaches for almost 1 week now. I am hopeful that this will cease soon, for extra strength Tylenol will not touch the pain in my head.
Avatar m tn Hi there.....May I ask if they are being prescribed by the same Dr.? Even if so, it's always the Pharmacist who runs the check for interactions between medications so speak with them in addition to asking your Dr. if he wants you to be taking these two together or space them apart by x amount of hours. Many Drs. are not aware of specific interactions of all medications so this is why it's also important to only use one Pharmacy.

635402 tn?1270162477 Do not take more than 15 milligrams (mg) per day because higher doses increase the chance of stomach side effects. It may take up to two weeks before the full benefits of this drug take effect. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same time each day. Inform your doctor if your condition worsens. It was approved on 4-14-2000 by the FDA to initially treat osteoarthritis. The drug interferes with the anti inflammatory process.

Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar n tn Please tell me the side effects and potential problems when taking all of the following medications by prescription: Cymbalta (60 MG), Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Ibuprofen (800 MG), Mobic (15 MG), Oxycodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Plaquenil (200 MG), Xanax (0.5 MG).
5082295 tn?1371250911 I took that medication too but my doctor told me I had to wait up to 2 weeks for the medication to start working properly. I had to stop it by the 5th day because the side effects were awful and that pill almost killed me. As far as I know this medication (Mobic) is prescribed for arthritis. For pain I took a muscle relaxer Flexeril and it worked since the first day I took it. In 2 days I was pain free in my neck, arms and shoulders after having non stop pain and numbness for months.
168348 tn?1379357075 3 due to side effects of not being able to take more Synthroid for supression due to anxiety side effects. Once I began taking my Vit D supplements (first 6 weeks 100,000 iu's followed by 1X week 50,000 iu's) my recheck is normal at 32 with no symptoms. I am on Mobic 15mgs for severe chronic tibial tendonitis and arthritis in my ankle. Same timeframe Vit D depleted.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
1311475 tn?1274198780 For the last 9 months or so, maybe a little longer I have had withdrawal symptoms or all of the side effects for the two medications that could possible be listed even when I was not taking the clonazapam, I had side effects. I am now taking 60 mg. of methadone, trying to get off of the methadone to become eligible for other pain treatment. I didn't know where to ask this question.
Avatar f tn I am not very knowledgeable about any of this so please bear with me, I have been told I have a Haglund triad in my left foot. Physio provided no relief and I could not take mobic due to Side effects and the Panadol osteo was doing nothing to help. I ended up seeing a specialist who has just given me a cortisone injection, I'm not even sure if this was for the bursitis or the severe insertional Achilles tendinopathy. The needlestick appears to be into the Achilles tendon.
335728 tn?1331414412 Please ensure that if any of the meds you are on cause you to be sun sensitive to take this side effect VERY SERIOUSLY! Take the proper precautions using sunblock that is waterproof if you are going to be near the water and that it is of a sufficient strength to ensure that you don't burn. I hope that this warning will save anyone from having to go through what I am...a very painful lesson!
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with "noodle leg" today. Have had MS since 2006 on Neurontin & Mobic not really working, by my PCP, any suggestions please. I'm dragging my left leg now, its turning inward, pain, numbness & tingling, weakness. I'm falling more as well. Pain in shoulders, arms & hands as well. Terrible insomnia.
Avatar n tn She ended up having two stents put in side by side to hold open the artery. She had 3 angiograms on three separate occasions after being taken by ambulance before the hospital discovered what was happening. It is rare for this to happen with only 30% blockage, but it does happen. If a blood clot goes through when arteries are spasming, this could cause a heart attack. Be careful and try not to overexert yourself. Take care.
Avatar n tn Even with Mobic, I found myself still needing Advil. Have now stopped Mobic and am using Advil and tylenol as needed. Per PC, I do have an appt. with a Rheumy for a 2nd opinion in June, but to be honest I am not hopeful that this doc will know how to read an xray......
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
Avatar n tn I have had 18 pt visits (traction now up to 32 lbs.. does provide relief temporary,(24hr) also take mobic.. recently prescribed a home traction unit.. confused as if this is right treatment..
168348 tn?1379357075 the Orthopedist is the one who scripted the Mobic but my Prim. Doc should be the one to figure out the side effect given my other meds, too, etc. Carafate is a good one for the anti-inflammatory but have to be VERY careful bcz it really impedes absorption and they don't like to use it .. used to heal ulcers like a thick horse pill tablet which is chalk like consistency .. I may ask the ped about that if the Zantac fails. I get nausea from Prilosec.
Avatar f tn I guess I would just like to know can there be a sweet/foul taste that alternates with this metallic taste. I take prednisone (5mgs), mobic, and lyrica and have for over two years. Could any of these be the cause? Does anyone know if this taste thing could just disappear just like it one day appeared. It's horrible. I eat to cover it up but nothing makes it go away. I brush constantly, some days I constantly keep hard candy in my mouth. Does anyone know if this will get worse?
