Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...

Thx for all your input. I'm now off of Meloxicam/Mobic due to side effects. Went back to using Aleve and am doing well with it; per DR's recommendation. I'm also coming off of Paxil and Ritalin since the Paxil doesn't seem to do anything for my depression and the Ritalin makes me too "jittery" feeling. Have an appointment with my Phychiatrist in mid October to review my meds and alternatives. I'll post more then.

It was approved on 4-14-2000 by the FDA to initially treat osteoarthritis. The drug interferes with the anti inflammatory process. The usual and customary side effects of strong NSAID's apply to this drug. I have not personally taken this medication. Others will post with additional information and hopefully someone has taken it. Please let us know how it works for you.

Please tell me the side effects and potential problems when taking all of the following medications by prescription: Cymbalta (60 MG), Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Ibuprofen (800 MG), Mobic (15 MG), Oxycodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Plaquenil (200 MG), Xanax (0.5 MG).

Hi there.....May I ask if they are being prescribed by the same Dr.? Even if so, it's always the Pharmacist who runs the check for interactions between medications so speak with them in addition to asking your Dr. if he wants you to be taking these two together or space them apart by x amount of hours. Many Drs. are not aware of specific interactions of all medications so this is why it's also important to only use one Pharmacy.

My mama used to take Mobic and it helped her back alot. Unfortunately for her, it upset her stomach so she quit taking it with no side effects following. Best wishes.

I told this doctor that I have a hiatal hernia and reflux, and that when I take NSAIDS I get sick. Stomach bleeding and the such, I would like to know if anyone else knows why meds would turn against my body after taking them for so long, I don't think it's medically possible for the medication to just turn on your body and give you reverse reactions to the meds, for instance when I take the clonazapam for my anxiety symptoms I get anxiety even worse than I already have.

I took that medication too but my doctor told me I had to wait up to 2 weeks for the medication to start working properly. I had to stop it by the 5th day because the side effects were awful and that pill almost killed me. As far as I know this medication (Mobic) is prescribed for arthritis. For pain I took a muscle relaxer Flexeril and it worked since the first day I took it. In 2 days I was pain free in my neck, arms and shoulders after having non stop pain and numbness for months.

3 due to side effects of not being able to take more Synthroid for supression due to anxiety side effects. Once I began taking my Vit D supplements (first 6 weeks 100,000 iu's followed by 1X week 50,000 iu's) my recheck is normal at 32 with no symptoms. I am on Mobic 15mgs for severe chronic tibial tendonitis and arthritis in my ankle. Same timeframe Vit D depleted.

In a search for an answer to your side effects question I also did some looking into the prescribed Meloxicam. Some of the side effects of Mobic (meloxicam) are problems with vision or balance and headaches. Sorry I could not be of greater assistance. Please discuss your SX with your prescribing physician. It may behove you to try an alternative pain medication to see if your SX will decrease or resolve.

I can understand building up a tolerance to the medication but not having all of these symptoms and side effects with whatever medication I take. I didn't think taking docusate would give me more constipation or pain in my joints. The doctors I have been seeing don't have a clue as to what is happening with my body or the meds, I need to know what kind of Doctor I need to be referred to to fix this problem, I am now itching from taking Docusate and Mobic.

However, in these small studies, they have found promising results in lessening the pain and bleeding episodes from endometriosis treated with arimidex. I would also just like to caution on the possible side effects of these drugs such as bone pains or fractures. Regards.

I took my kids to the park for an hour and I felt like I was sun burnt and I was wearing 50 proof sunblock...when I touch my skin it feels like I have a bad sun burn and I started to get a heat rash.....my eyes feel like someone threw sand in them and overall I just feel like ****...is this something I should bring up to my doc?...or is it just normal stuff with the riba...

I am not very knowledgeable about any of this so please bear with me, I have been told I have a Haglund triad in my left foot. Physio provided no relief and I could not take mobic due to Side effects and the Panadol osteo was doing nothing to help. I ended up seeing a specialist who has just given me a cortisone injection, I'm not even sure if this was for the bursitis or the severe insertional Achilles tendinopathy. The needlestick appears to be into the Achilles tendon.

I am on methadone 10mg twice a day, I am supposed to take clonazapam .05mg 4 times a day. I tapered myself down from 90mg over a months time span. The clonazapam I take occasionally and rarely. I stopped taking the clonazapam because I was having all of the side effects listed on the drug. I mean all of them. I haven't been on it on a regular basis for over 4 or 5 months now. I didn't want to be on this drug, but this is what the psychiatrist recommended.

they have had me on them off an on for several years for the fibro and i get alot of upper respitory infections........they help with the pain some, but yep sure will make u eat!!!!

Medicinal grade dilute DSMO applied externally will act as a powerful anti-inflammatory. There are caveats. DSMO is not medically approved and can be dangerous to use. Under no circumstances use industrial DSMO. And it should be only applied with a sterile one-time use wand on a squeaky-clean well-rinsed skin surface. Do an internet search for more information and suppliers.

i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.

Hi andream5, my husband is finishing week 16 today, so he completed incivek about 4 weeks ago. I would say his side effects since finishing incivek include itching (no rash), fatigue, some weakness/shortness of breath, fatigue, dry mouth/metallic taste in mouth, and insomnia. I think that the symptoms he is experiencing right now (post incivek) are very similar/identical to the side effects he had with previous two treatments. For the itching, he takes Atavan.

I recently had a brazilian wax and soon developed irritation around my genitalia. It's extremely itchy and irritated, very uncomfortable. I haven't slept in three nights and after going to my ob-gyn, she only advised a 1% hydro-cortisone cream and benedryl to sleep, no yeast or bacterial infection indicated. Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
