mobic

Avatar m tn Hi there.....May I ask if they are being prescribed by the same Dr.? Even if so, it's always the Pharmacist who runs the check for interactions between medications so speak with them in addition to asking your Dr. if he wants you to be taking these two together or space them apart by x amount of hours. Many Drs. are not aware of specific interactions of all medications so this is why it's also important to only use one Pharmacy.
168348 tn?1379357075 3 due to side effects of not being able to take more Synthroid for supression due to anxiety side effects. Once I began taking my Vit D supplements (first 6 weeks 100,000 iu's followed by 1X week 50,000 iu's) my recheck is normal at 32 with no symptoms. I am on Mobic 15mgs for severe chronic tibial tendonitis and arthritis in my ankle. Same timeframe Vit D depleted.
Avatar n tn I am not sure! I have taken this for a few years now and I wanted to stop. My asthma was worsening and had developed problems swallowing at times. When I stopped the Mobic, I had the most excruciating headaches for almost 1 week now. I am hopeful that this will cease soon, for extra strength Tylenol will not touch the pain in my head.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar f tn It sounds as if your symptoms are making your life unmanageable, and all you are given is Mobic, an nsaid with a bad side effect profile, and Neurontin? For MS, nsaids rarely work, except to help with pain caused only secondarily. For instance, if you favor one leg, the other may get overworked, with sore muscles or worse symptoms, but there's nothing really happening with it that helping the ailing leg wouldn't fix. As to the Neurontin, very possibly your dosage isn't high enough.
975514 tn?1324997938 I am curious to know for those of you who have only been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (no other coexisting diseases such as Lupus or Lyme disease), do you get pain relief from any NSAID medications like ibuprofen, Aleve, or any other prescription NSAIDs like Mobic or Voltaren?
Avatar m tn HI I got an ankle pain for more than 1 year which occurred when I was playing football. The pain is in inner side of my ankle and the physician diagnosed ankle sprain; however there was no sprain by right or left side or any symptoms, it is just when I shoot the ball and my foot stretch down. I kept playing football and since then also visited 5 doctors and had 10 physiotherapy sessions. MRI showed 1st degree ligament injury.
Avatar f tn sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
199177 tn?1490498534 I am putting this in our group as well because I know alot of us take NSAIDs to help keep us in recovery. So here is the thing there are many of us dealing with chronic daily pain I am one of them .I don't take over the daily amounts but I do take them daily .I have been having alot of problems lately with gastro problems one off them was acid reflux last week it started come up with blood .This was not the only problem but the rest I am not going to go into detail with.
Avatar m tn What can cause a sudden onset of severe tinnutis? 2 days after spinal injection for spinal stenosis(L3&4), someone threw a light switch and I now have constant ringing, buzzing in my head. Initially had "ice-pick" type headaches that went away. Moderate pressure on left side of head (ear) when ringing subsides. MRI, MRA of head and neck are negative. Audiology report normal for age. C-reactive protein, RA negative.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar n tn Please tell me the side effects and potential problems when taking all of the following medications by prescription: Cymbalta (60 MG), Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Ibuprofen (800 MG), Mobic (15 MG), Oxycodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Plaquenil (200 MG), Xanax (0.5 MG).
Avatar f tn Is there any reason for all my symptoms? Are they side effects from the drugs? Is there anything else I could be doing - not doing? I would like to golf and enjoy the summer without constant pain, swelling and tender hands.
5082295 tn?1371250911 I took that medication too but my doctor told me I had to wait up to 2 weeks for the medication to start working properly. I had to stop it by the 5th day because the side effects were awful and that pill almost killed me. As far as I know this medication (Mobic) is prescribed for arthritis. For pain I took a muscle relaxer Flexeril and it worked since the first day I took it. In 2 days I was pain free in my neck, arms and shoulders after having non stop pain and numbness for months.
Avatar m tn There is a non narcotic pain reliever for those of us with ulcers. I take it and have had wonderful results from it. It does not upset my stomach. Taking this medication will allow you to take NSAIDS without the stomach damage. But I don't need NSAIDS often with this. Having said that, it is hugely important that you discuss this and any medications with your doctor. You absolutely should remember we're not doctors. Everyone reacts to medications differently.
Avatar f tn Wow, I think I might actually be allergic to NSAIDs, too. I've been taking them regularly since June, and about a month ago, I added yet another one to my daily routine--aspirin, to prevent strokes. I ran out of Arthrotec last week, which I take for joint pain/swelling, and discovered yesterday that I had one pill left...so I took it, because I had a lot of writing to do for a final exam and didn't want my hands to be killing me all the while...
Avatar m tn Ibuprofen is a NSAID (Non-steroid anti-inflammation drug), so it has some effect on the inflammation too, not just to relief the pain. There are other NSAIDs too but some of them have lots of side effects. Diclofenac is one that in my country is sold over the counter almost as often as Ibuprofen. Of course, for severe inflammations (with inflammations, there are no infection) steroid anti inflammation drugs can be used, such as cortisone.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
8221281 tn?1397570972 Please look into this as I feel, is worthwhile and with no known side effects-this has been used in Ayurvedic Medicine for 1000s of years, with no issues, as an anti-inflammatory. AOR has a nano-available Boswellia supplement, if you wish to check it out. I think it has much greater bio-availability. Taking it with meals which contain fats (best is coconut oil-heated OK-, or olive oil but not heated!) The effectiveness gets boosted up to 700% (not a typo) when taken with fats!
