I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. Unfortunately I am experiencing maddening itching which I'm controlling with Allegra and extreme fatigue and an all around foggy feeling.

For the last 9 months or so, maybe a little longer I have had withdrawal symptoms or all of the side effects for the two medications that could possible be listed even when I was not taking the clonazapam, I had side effects. I am now taking 60 mg. of methadone, trying to get off of the methadone to become eligible for other pain treatment. I didn't know where to ask this question.

Please tell me the side effects and potential problems when taking all of the following medications by prescription: Cymbalta (60 MG), Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Ibuprofen (800 MG), Mobic (15 MG), Oxycodone-Acetaminophen (5-500 MG), Plaquenil (200 MG), Xanax (0.5 MG).

Hi there.....May I ask if they are being prescribed by the same Dr.? Even if so, it's always the Pharmacist who runs the check for interactions between medications so speak with them in addition to asking your Dr. if he wants you to be taking these two together or space them apart by x amount of hours. Many Drs. are not aware of specific interactions of all medications so this is why it's also important to only use one Pharmacy.

sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.

I am not sure! I have taken this for a few years now and I wanted to stop. My asthma was worsening and had developed problems swallowing at times. When I stopped the Mobic, I had the most excruciating headaches for almost 1 week now. I am hopeful that this will cease soon, for extra strength Tylenol will not touch the pain in my head.

Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...

I took that medication too but my doctor told me I had to wait up to 2 weeks for the medication to start working properly. I had to stop it by the 5th day because the side effects were awful and that pill almost killed me. As far as I know this medication (Mobic) is prescribed for arthritis. For pain I took a muscle relaxer Flexeril and it worked since the first day I took it. In 2 days I was pain free in my neck, arms and shoulders after having non stop pain and numbness for months.

3 due to side effects of not being able to take more Synthroid for supression due to anxiety side effects. Once I began taking my Vit D supplements (first 6 weeks 100,000 iu's followed by 1X week 50,000 iu's) my recheck is normal at 32 with no symptoms. I am on Mobic 15mgs for severe chronic tibial tendonitis and arthritis in my ankle. Same timeframe Vit D depleted.

I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Hello, Topamax can cause itching and erythematous rash in some individuals.Although the main side effects of topamax are slower reflexes, trouble thinking or concentrating, tiredness, poor coordination, and dizziness,yet it has shown itchy skin in some individuals. I feel that if you are showing any allergic reaction to topamax,pls stop taking it and consult your doctor for a change in prescription.You can take over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin for itching.

Hi andream5, my husband is finishing week 16 today, so he completed incivek about 4 weeks ago. I would say his side effects since finishing incivek include itching (no rash), fatigue, some weakness/shortness of breath, fatigue, dry mouth/metallic taste in mouth, and insomnia. I think that the symptoms he is experiencing right now (post incivek) are very similar/identical to the side effects he had with previous two treatments. For the itching, he takes Atavan.

t know much about Rebif but I have been on Copaxone for over a year. The side effects are redness, itching, stinging, swelling at the injection site. There isn't any problems with the liver that I know of. There are some reactions for some that include tightness of the chest, flushing. I was on Suboxone for two years, off for 3 months with opiates, and now on again for a month. The itching started small after a few weeks on Sub But now I scratch everywhere there is hair and just below my knees , my back arms, and high on my butt.

This treatment has a high risk of psychiatric side effects, you need to find a doctor who is up to date on the treatment and side effects. Search the archives on this forum, its got lots of good discussions and information. Good luck.
