I was on Suboxone for alomost a month and there is no way I would drink while taking it. I had read that mixing suboxone and alcohol could/would cause serious breathing problems. You might want to check with your doctor about it before you do.

Xanax does not interact significantly with cocaine. If a person came to the ER with anxiety from cocaine, a Xanax-like medication would likely be given to the person. But I can't really say it is 'safe' to take Xanax after cocaine. The Xanax is not likely to do anything bad, assuming you take it in a reasonable, therapeutic dose. But cocaine is NEVER a 'safe' medication.

there are reports on the web about people mixing Xanax with Suboxone (buprenorphine) and dying. the reports seem to gloss over that these people were SHOOTING these substances. so in the case that you are shooting them. don't. Adderall can be psychologically habit-forming, but i don't even like it enough to abuse it. feels like i drank 20 cups of coffee. yuck. and good luck getting off the Subs. it is not nearly as bad as a full-blown oxy w/d, but it lasts a loooooong time.

Hi there. I have no personal experience mixing alcohol with suboxone but my wife does. She was on subutex in South Africa and drank with no ill effects. However when she emmigrated here(to NZ) she was transferred onto suboxone. Apparently the naltrexone/naloxone disrupts the absorbtion of alcohol into the bloodstream and she could not ever feel the effects of the alcohol. I have also read of a treatment for alcoholics where they are prescibed daily doses of naltrexone for this reason.

t get high off of other narcs while on Sub, but my doc did say that if you did enough of a narc that you might be able to override the Sub blockage, depending on the dose but I am not sure about that. But mixing other drugs with Sub, such as alcohol, any of the xanax, valium, ect, barbs, ect. can effect with the Sub. And you can get very high,BUT there are several cases of people dying from mixing such drugs as Xanax, with Sub. This is true.

My goodness, I'm surprised she didn't have a blackout mixing Xanax and alcohol. Good thing you called her out. Maybe it will help her to realize what she is doing and that it's not a secret like she may think.

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder with PTSD and I was put on xanax 1mg to take 2 1/2 a day. I was experiencing mainly what my psychiatrist called mania where I would be ridiculously irritable and nervous/shaky. While the xanax took care of most of this, at times I still experience a very bad mood and have anger problems, where I fly off the handle at things that wouldn't bother most people to that extreme.

mixing methadone with klonopin is very dangerous, It makes the effects of the opiate in methadone much much stronger and causes enhaced CNS depression and can cause respiratory arrest causing death.

I would definitely tell the doctor though because they need to know the meds you are on - especially mixing a benzo type med with suboxone. Work with them and they will work with you.

You definitely should not be drinking alcohol with this combination of drugs. You're taking a high dose of xanax - that alone with alcohol would cause the effects of the alcohol to be exacerated. Mixing the two could also be fatal. Both are central nervous system depressants. Drinking alcohol may also increase your risk of certain Abilify side effects, such as drowsiness or low blood pressure (when sitting or standing up). You may also be more sensitive to the effects of alcohol.

I will tell you that mixing methadone with other drugs you are abusing,especially benzos [the xanax] can be a fatal mixture and THAT could kill him.It's really not possible for us to tell you what his dose should be.If we knew what type of drugs and how much he was taking PRIOR to the methadone we may be able to give you an educated guess.The fact is though the dosage amount of the methadone is not really the issue here.

Im taking Suboxone which Ive been on but I havr bi-polar n there changing my meds around so is it really bad if My doc put me on Prestiq Suboxone n I start Zyprexa Fri. I do take some Klonopin (non rx) n want to start phentermeane to loose weight. AM i GONNA DYE iM SCARED N KKNOW THAT AL LOT OF MEDS BUT WHATS TOO MUCH? N will I feel very different on the Zyprexa? s the same way as heath ledger, corey haims, etc, and have lived to say its no big deal. its true that 1mg of xanax may not seem high, although xanax is highly potent so it really is actually a hefty dose...but the reason it doesn't seem high is because daily theraputic limits are at 10mg of xanax. it's VERY difficult to overdose on any benzo. this leads to the assumption that they are "safe"...

However, my question is mainly about Xanax, and in regard to how long it stays in the system to the point where it is dangerous to mix with alcohol. (i.e., is it dangerous to drink alcohol after 1 day of not taking Xanax?..2 days? etc). Another question, how serious are the long-term effects of drinking alcohol WITH xanax?

He informed my husband that the ambien cr could be taken with the suboxone. I was still a bit nervous so of course my husband slept beautifully with me watching each breath to make sure he didn't suffer respiratory distress...I believe that suboxone reaction depends on the individual and your best bet would be to open up more to your doctor because he knows more about you than anyone here could.

It a good thing she is not mixing alcohol with xanax because that can be fatal.She needs to talk to her doctor when combining 2 meds.

I am on suboxone prescribed by my doctor, well I resently moved out of town and found a new suboxone dr who has prescribed me all these medications to take along with taking the suboxone. I am soooooo scared to take what he has told me to take seeing all these horror storys online about mixing benzos and suboxone. Well if anyone can help me feel better or if they have had this experience also please post keep in mind I have never took any of these medications before other then the suboxone.
