ive been on suboxone 8 mgs 2 years 3 times daily and been on xanax for a while and i know my tolerence is sky high ....my xanax which i take 1 mg 4 times daily isnt workin have to take 5,6, then i run out a week before my refill and suffer.. its like a ritual ....i know its a high dose for a long period of time but ....i think the next step is gettin off them.....im new here thanx for listening...or reading rather...write back please ...
My husband is trying to detox with suboxone and we need to know if he can take it safely. Also, the suboxone doesn't seem to be taking away his withdrawls, he is antsy, has rls, hot and cold, sneezing, nauseaus, very very sick. He has been taking 24-32mg of suboxone and I thought that was a really high dose. He was on about 900mg of oxycodone a day, so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone please help! 25mg of xanax for a short time and it was fine. The danger with xanax and suboxone is when the xanax is abused and taken at much higher doses, so I would not recommend doing that. I guess the question I would ask is do you really want to be clean? If so, keep working with your doctor, follow his instructions and take the subutex as directed - stay away from the other pills. Get some other support through an NA meeting or from others on this site.
I am currently on suboxone for 3 weeks at 24mg a day forhve been on benzos for 6 years and my doc has put me on 1.5 mg od klonopin from long term use of ativan and xanax. I caved in today and refilled my old xanax prescription. I have taken 3 mg so far in the last 3 hours and can't seem to stop. Please help me everyone. My addiction psychiatrist is out od commision in the hospital and has nobody covering. She is in a practice by herself and I don;t know where or who to turn to.
Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.
I was put on Zoloft at first and then switched a few years ago to 40mg of Paxil along with 25mg of Xanax daily. I still feel anxiety and depression, however, and am afraid these drugs no longer work or that I have become immune to their effects. Should I be expecting the dosages of these medications to change over time? Is it normal to prescribe these drugs together? I am also on toprol for my blood pressure. A different perspective on these drugs would help. Thank you.
I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.
I have no medical proof but ican tell you it must.
I was wondering if it is safe to use it together. So far I sometimes use Urbanol and sometimes Alzam for anxiety.Is there other people also using it and how much mg should be fine? I've been on subutex for 10 months to help with opiod addiction, but still struggle with anxiety. 4mg of Subutex. Thank you!
I'm interested in what people say here. It's kind of a conflict between your immediate self interest and long-term healing, but because psychiatrists generally don't do therapy anymore but just prescribe medications my guess is you will be taken off the Xanax and won't be able to get benzos because of your drug abuse and the psychiatrist won't do anything to help you get off the opiates except perhaps refer you to a drug abuse specialist.
Ive been taking 5-6 750mg vicoden for 2 years and 1 1/2mg of xanax for about 5 yrs.. I have severe back pain and severe anxiety. I have recently noticed rapid weight loss and no apetite. Ive lost about 20lbs in a couple months and a pound daily. I am now concerned about liver problems.. history of kidney stones so i thought the pain was kidney stone related, but more now points to liver. I feel I need to stop tonight, and really scared for my health. im 26 yrs old with a family of 4.
I've been taking suboxone for a little over 2 years now and am about to prepare for my wean. I've also been on 4 mg of Xanax for about 6 months now (sometimes a little more) to help me sleep while weaning on the sub. I read a post earlier that coming off Xanax is much worse than suboxone which I find really really hard to believe as I've tried to come off suboxone before and felt worse than I've ever felt in my life with the w/d symptoms. I was bouncing back and fort with klonopin to xanax, back to klonopin..and back to xanax, I dove my Dr. crazy!!!and he told me..THAT'S IT..NO MORE CHANGING YOUR MEDS!!!! Like i said, he doesn't know about what I'm trying to do, I'm doing it for this psychiatrist who is prescribing SUBOXONE, i been on suboxone for 3 years...my clinic closed, i got referred to this guy who does not prescribing suboxone with anybody on benzo's.
i have cut back to 2 mg of xanax a day and by next week i can cut down to 1 xanax and the next week be off.........per my dr he is a pshy.A friend told me she thinks thats to much benzos...........so now im scared. I have to get off the xanax.I am pretty drowsy..but my dr said that should pass once my body adjusts.........
Hey there I take was taking Xanax for my anxiety while on suboxone and my doctor said that was ok (obviously because he prescribed them for me!). I don't know about your medication though so best do what dominosarah suggests and talk it over with your doctor.
