Effexor is most effective for my depression and ADD. Zoloft is most effective for my obsessive thinking, but also makes me very tired. Can I take both at the same time? ( Currectly take Effexor XR 150mg.. Used to take Zoloft 100mg. daily.) If not, is there a different med that can be taken with the Effexor to help control the obsessing?
Short answer: Yes it is safe.
Long answer: Vicodin contains paracetamol & hydrocodone, and Zoloft contains sertraline. paracetamol is a non-opioid analgesic, hydrocodone is an opioid, and sertaline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). These classes of drug do not react with each other.
I am currently taking klonopin for my seizures, zolof for depression, and hydrocodone for tooth pain. If all these meds are taken at the same time is their a chance of blacking out or short term memory loss? The reason I ask is because it has happened to me and I need some info on this.
I've been on Zoloft since may 2013 and my psychiatrist says a glass every now and then shouldn't do any harm. Getting trashed will lol I've always been fine even with a couple of wine glasses so don't worry so much if its just a beer. Then again, everyone's v different so I don't wana giv u the wrong advice.

Ophthalmologist was seen for vision problem in R eye and gave rx for nighttime glasses. Weaned off Zoloft over approx 1 month. Has been Zoloft free for approx 3 weeks. Headaches are worse than ever. Has been taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 1x daily for a couple of months with little relief. Later given rx for Butalbital as alternate pain med but pt has only tried a few times. Hydrocodone gives better relief but not full/long lasting relief.

Hi. I've been on a whole slew of meds for bi-polar none of which have been helpful for combating the depression stages which have escalated recently. My psychiatrist is starting me on Zoloft to help with the somewhat overwhelming depression. However, my research says it can cause Serotonin Syndrome, which can lead to death and that's pretty scary. My psychiatrist says that it's very rare and shouldn't worry about it, but I'm still concerned.
Im no doctor so I can't tell you. But I'll ask you this, don't they give anti-nausea along with pain medication in the hospital? I wouldn't be afraid to do it but that's me and you know how brilliant everyone on the Internet is!
over the past six months i have become increasingly dependent on all three. on nights that i drink i don't take anything till i wake up early morning and more often than not take 1/2 of .5 clonaz. to relax and get back to sleep. On nights that i don't drink i take ambien 10mg. i find that i can't sleep w/o it. aghhh The dr. precribed both ambien and clonazepam a while back when i began to have panic attacks and long bouts of insomnia.
I have severe back problems. Currently taking 3 ten mil hydrocodone a day, and one 2 mil xanax at night for sleep.
The tabs do not work anymore. Dr. said we could try morphine 20ml. twice a day. question is will I have to quit the
xanax at night? I read where they are not mixable. Can anyone help me here. I meet with the Dr. this week, he does
not yet know of the xanax that I take at night. I just started them a couple of weeks ago. Sleeping better than I have in ten years.
he got hurt on halloween. he was in the hospital 40days & nights, had in all about 20surgerys most of then at least 5hrs long some up to 12hrs long. & with what all he mixing hes gettin pain pills from alll different doctors & plus on 2heart medicines. im not sure what all hes taking a mixing anymore his wifes trying to watch but hes always trying to find them & when he does its like 2 or 3 at a time then hr later tells her he hasnt had any & gets more.
I'm on zoloft and I sometimes take my moms vicodin/percocet for pain and I'm just wondering is it safe to take these combinations together?

Zoloft+Vicodin= safe?
Zoloft+Percocet= safe?
Will the Vicodin or Percocet decrease the effects of the Zoloft? OR can it cause permanent brain damage?
I took 2 Vicodin's a couple days ago and then took 1 Zoloft pill an hour later and I started to feel weird/loopy. Could I have caused permanent brain damage?
I want to take the Hydrocodone until the Methadone is in my system and working. I am in a lot of pain and don't want to have pain while I wait on the Methadone to kick in. Also, after reading all of your emails regarding Methadone addiction, etc. I am scared to death to take this medicine. What if she takes me off of Methadone for some reason and all of a sudden, I am a Methadone addict? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the quick response. My doctor told me I should not of stopped them CT and spoke to him first about getting off them before seeing the specialist, as I will be having surgery. But I called them him three days after the fact. He said he would of weened them off me. But I thought I would be okay, I also cut them in half and took them throughout the day. Isn't Lorazapam a mind tranquilizer?
I just went away to college, and I've been dealing with anxiety issues for a long time. I'm on Zoloft and I take Lorazapem every once and a while. This sounds really stupid, but lately I've been worried about how my voice sounds and how I talk and I feel like it's hard for me to communicate clearly and articulately exactly what I want. I also pay close attention to other people's voices and how they talk.
From personal experience i can tell you I drank on zoloft quite often and was fine. Now, everyone is different and you need to be careful but drinking in moderation will not kill you. But with anxiety issues, you should avoid alcohol. I know it is tough. I am 33 and i avoid it when people hand be a drink and it can be difficult. Good luck to you.
