I know it was one of the best decisions I ever made...mixing methadone with other narcotics is dangerous and is no way to go thew life..I hope this give you some insight that it dosent have to be this way...good luck on whatever you decide .

t get high off of other narcs while on Sub, but my doc did say that if you did enough of a narc that you might be able to override the Sub blockage, depending on the dose but I am not sure about that. But mixing other drugs with Sub, such as alcohol, any of the xanax, valium, ect, barbs, ect. can effect with the Sub. And you can get very high,BUT there are several cases of people dying from mixing such drugs as Xanax, with Sub. This is true.

I can't answer about prozac and adderall specifically but it can go two ways. With some drugs it decreases their effectiveness. With other drugs it can cause overdose. Either way, it's not a good thing. Also, alcohol is a depressant so it will make depression worse.

You should read the leaflet that came with them, that tells you what other meds you can and cannot take with them or if still in doubt speak to a pharmacist.

i know for a fact that mixing booze with alprazolam is dangerous as they are both sedatig drugs which when combined are very potent. is he having problems as a result of this? usually there are negative consequences that need to be apparent before one will consider trying to quit. has he ever been to treatment or aa?

Amy, I do agree with the above. Mixing alcohol with these meds can kill you, and the buzz is not worth you're family finding you dead. Please get help if you cannot quit drinking and be totally honest with yourself and your Doctor about whether you can get by without relying on these drugs!! God Bless.

You definitely should not be drinking alcohol with this combination of drugs. You're taking a high dose of xanax - that alone with alcohol would cause the effects of the alcohol to be exacerated. Mixing the two could also be fatal. Both are central nervous system depressants. Drinking alcohol may also increase your risk of certain Abilify side effects, such as drowsiness or low blood pressure (when sitting or standing up). You may also be more sensitive to the effects of alcohol.

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. There are dangers in mixing drugs. We cant give you that sort of info. Do you take any other meds?

Both of these drugs can be very addictive and should be taken with extreme caution. Be sure to let your physician know how many pills you have been taking and your worries about being put on Methadone... Maybe the two of you can come up with something that will help your back pain but keep you as far away from full-blown addiction as possible. (I use that term very loosely.) Physical pain can not be truly assessed when you are dependent on pain medicine.

Quinilones are used less frequently for sure due to some side effect issues and warnings about the class of drugs. Check with your doctor if you have any concerns but they are definately not the same thing. Often antibiotics have little niches that they are used in. good luck and hope you feel better.

Can you open a capsule with amoxicillin or ciproflaxin and mix water with it and give it to a kitty with an upper respiratory. Or can you sprinkle it on some canned food?

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder with PTSD and I was put on xanax 1mg to take 2 1/2 a day. I was experiencing mainly what my psychiatrist called mania where I would be ridiculously irritable and nervous/shaky. While the xanax took care of most of this, at times I still experience a very bad mood and have anger problems, where I fly off the handle at things that wouldn't bother most people to that extreme.

How long does it take to get this anti-biotic out of your system? It really sent me into a anxiety tailspin. I have been a little stressed lately, but wow. My Dr. says my anxiety and insomnia has nothing to do with the anti-biotic... but after reading some of these other posts, I can't help but feel that there is a lot of missing information out there about possible side effects. Amoxicillin is rated as "B" grade by the FDA, since a few studies have shown that it can have a negative effect on the fetus. It also went on to say you should talk to your doctor about your concerns and if it is safe to take since you are pregnant. I hope this helps.

Does anyone know if amoxicillin is safe to take during pregnancy. I am 19 weeks 2 Days and I am concerned. I went to my primary care physician because I have been having a sore throat and really bad headaches. My ob said there is nothing he can do because its really not pregnancy related and its gotten to the point of unbareable. He said I had a bad viral infection and strep throat.
