I think it *is* likely your medicine extravaganza during your bronchitis may have temporarily elevated your liver enzymes. Just go get retested in a few weeks. Also, mixing Nyquil with the tylenol is a big no, no. Nyquil has alcohol and, when mixed with tylenol, can do (tah dah) exactly what happened to you! I'm sure one time won't damage your liver, but now you know! Take care.

Can you take Melatonin and Nyquil with Venlafaxine ER and Lorazepam, or would that be a big mistake? I need sleep desparately!!!!

One other thing. Mixing cold medicine and medication is never a good idea. Think about it as mixing alcohol with medication. But, it does depend on the dose, the strength of the cold medicine, and what kind of medication one takes. You can overdose without realizing it by taking tylenol and Nyquil together. Good luck and hopefully you can get your tooth taken care of sooner.

Can you open a capsule with amoxicillin or ciproflaxin and mix water with it and give it to a kitty with an upper respiratory. Or can you sprinkle it on some canned food?

I am on Day two and just started my tapering from my Dr. instructions. Last night i tried Nyquil and a melatonin pill to help me sleep. Well it did knock me out for about 5 hours than i woke up with RLS and anxiety. Now i need to know what else can i try to sleep through the night. I noticed i was better this morning with more sleep. My friend is going to help me with some of his Valrium Root. Has anyone heard of this stuff.

Last night I took everything I possibly could, ambien, tylenol PM, Nyquil, Benadryl, and finally gabapentin did the trick since it helps with restless legs. But this morning I feel like a walking zombie. Can anyone tell me when the insomnia will end?

Assuming it was a sinus infection, they prescribed amoxicillin, and that took care of the symptoms in under a week. About two weeks after being off of the amoxicillin, the symptoms began to return. I went back to the doctor and the prescribed some different antibiotic, which again, worked fine. Yet again, a few weeks after being done with that antibiotic, the symptoms returned. I opted to not use antibiotics to see if it would go away on its own, and it did after nearly a month.

Thanks Barb for responding, I have an appointment set up for a MMR shot with my DR office on Tuesday, so I will be talking with them about my sickness as well. I don't think I will be getting my shot either, just a guess. But I just need something to get me by the next 2 days and thought I'd find out about what the side effects were if I took the Nyquil, I just don't want any complications in the process. Taking nyquil every so often will help you get to sleep and stay a sleep due to a cold or irritation, but its not relally useful for insomnia. theres where more prescription sleepaids come into the mix, but enough rambling, your body will still burn calories while you sleep if you take nyquil...

Not nyquil. But if you have cold like a symptoms Tylenol makes cold and flu drowsy med and thats okay and it knocked me out.

I would certainly make a call to your pediatrician and tell them what happened , they may say keep and eye on the child or bring him in..good luck ...

If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono? Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage. I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst. Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?

5 at the end of the day before i go home. Well last night it worked with some help of Nyquil and a Melatonin pill. I slept for 5 hours and than woke up and had to take a very little more Nyquil and slept for 3 more hours before i had to get ready for work. I got really sick, and my doctor put me on the antiobiotic Augmentin XR(Amoxicillin clavulanic potassium). I am also taking some tylenol for fever. Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. Everyone reacts differently to medicines, and there maybe be a low percent side effect for what you are experiancing. Also, Nyquil does have some alcohol in it so make sure it is not interacting with another medication you are taking. I have been on medications before that require you do not take in any alcohol whatsoever, including cough syrup and mouth wash.
