Thank you for your feedback. We would also love it if doctors would give out MedHelp's URL to their patients to help track symptoms. Then their patients could just click Email This on their trackers and send it to their doctors for review. We could easily add Restless Legs as a symptom and Mirapex as a treatment to the Sleep Tracker. Would that work for you?

I just found I'm pregnant. I am 5 weeks. I have restless leg syndrome and the doctor wants me to stop taking my mirapex. I tried but ended up taking a half a pill (doctor said this is ok to try to wean myself off). Is there anything I can take for it so I can sleep?!?!

Hi Byron, I too have serious Restless Leg Syndrome...I don't know about the Monavie but what I take and is wonderful is Mirapex. I take it 3 times a day and have no restless legs unless I skip a dose or run out and then the RLS returns. I hope this has helped.

I am unable to walk for long periods of time, the pain is not lessening even though i am currently taking myropex on a daily basis. I have had testing for restless leg syndrome, arthritis, had an mri, etc and am tired of not being able to get any relief from this because no one knows whats wrong. This has been ongoing for over 10 years and is progressively getting worse to the point I had to quit my job because I was not able to function normally. Any help would be appreciated.

I was on mirapex for 3 years, my miracle drug, for my RLS during that period I develop a gambling addiction. I find out that this is a side of the mirapex.For the sake of my self and the loss od my my family I choose to get off of it.I It took me 2 trys to get off of them and have suceeded. I no long have the urge to gamble. ,Now I am on simumet for my RLS and it does not work like the mirapex , I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go to sleep.

I have severe Restless leg Syndrome. I have been on Mirapex for about 6 years now, and never had a problem. I am unemployed now, and do not have any health insurance. My doctor has been great to give me samples, however; they are out of them right now. My doctor tried giving me clonazepam 1 mg 2 nights ago, I walked the floors and tossed and turned all night. I called my doctor, and she said to increase my clonazepam to 2mg before bed.

I developed what I think is restless leg syndrome 3 months after knee replacement surgery. In talking to a friend today, I found that she has had the same issues and she is taking the same antidepressant, citalopram. Has anyone ever heard of this drug causing these symptoms? I have been on citalopram for several years, and have not had many side effects until now. The symptoms are bad enough to interrupt my sleep.

Does anyone on here have Restless Leg Syndrome and are they being treated for it? and could you please list your symptoms, what it feels like. I don't believe that I have it, but my doctor put me on Klonopin to see if that helps. What I have our leg aches, ankle aches, basically all day long but they are worse after exercise and at night. They ache so much, they drive me crazy. But I don't get that creepy crawly feeling everyone talks about.

It would be very difficult to comment on the situation without a definitive diagnosis or even an examination. Other than restless leg syndrome other possibilities that may need to be considered are vascular issues, peripheral neuropathy, musculopathies, hormonal/ endocrine issues, micronutrient deficiencies, infections, stress/ depression etc. Without an evaluation it would be difficult to say what effect would a particular drug have on it.

It is called restless leg syndrome which can affect your arms and legs. It usually happens to me at night or when I have been sitting for a long time. I take Mirapex for it right now.

My question is has anyone else suffered restless leg syndrome after taking welbutrin?? Welbutrin was the only med that didn't cause severe headaches and make me want to sleep all the time.

OK, Is it possible that the Restless Leg Syndrome I was diagnosed with from a sleep study several years ago might have been an early symptom of my maybe possible MS? It recently occured to me that I list RLS as a neurological symptom on medical forms, and that as far as I know there is no real know cause for RLS. Low iron has aggravated it, but it wasn't low when I was tested for RLS.

OMG do I know about restless leg syndrome, Ive suffered for years and years, and no one understands it unless you have had it. People think its just the jitters, but you have to move your legs constanly and stretch and its the most annoying thing ever. I have muscle leg, foot, arm and hand twitches. I was diagnosed, (among other things) with Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). It does not necessarily only affect your legs. There is also something called Periodic Limb Movement, but as I understand it, this only happens when you're asleep. RLS, on the other-hand, can be all day and all night. It usually is at its worse when you try to sit still at night.

I know nothing about Parkinson Disease at all but I do know that they use Parkinson's drugs for restless leg syndrome, so I think it is commonly prescribed for things like that. I have a friend who has restless leg syndrome and she is on some kind of Parkinsons Disease drug and it has helped her a lot, but she was running all night, she was pretty bad. Hi, welcome to the forum, restless leg syndrome (RLS) can be really frustating sometimes and can be treated by treating underlying illness, if known. For example, iron deficiency anemia can be a cause and can be treated by supplemental iron. Some other measures like elimination of caffeine, smoking and alcohol (if present) can be very helpful. Getting better sleep and exercise can help some persons affected by restless legs.

ve been unable to get lethargy/motivation/depression wrapped up. I am treated for bipolar 2, severe restless leg syndrome and sleep apnea. Summer 2012 I finished chemo and radiation for stage 3 breast cancer (mastectomy 8/2011). Currently, I take Lithium 900mg, Mirapex 1.5mg, Arimidex 1mg, Xarelto 20mg, Iron 65mg and (vitamin)D3 2000IU. Is it possible to use tramadol to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms (mainly restless leg) from opiates? Every time I try to stop cold Turkey the leg twitches keep me awake for days. Usually by day two insomnia has taken such a tole I cant function. I can't lose my job.
